I just had my wedding here yesterday and am still in awe of how smoothly it went and how beautiful it was. We chose to go with a Pop Up wedding package. It included sooooo much and made wedding planning a million times easier. The package included the use of both rooms - reception and hearth room. It included catering, cake and cupcakes, officiant, wedding planner (Janna), DJ, and your choice of decorations. It CAN include your flowers too, something I chose to do and they were beautiful! You cannot beat the price anywhere. The venue itself if gorgeous! I am in live with the hearth room and am so glad we were able to have the ceremony in there. It is a HUGE stone hearth that takes up moth of the wall. They have it decorated gorgeously with lanterns and garland. The reception room is huge and has a nice stage. The tables and chairs all get decorated and looked amazing. It is very classy. There is also a very nice bar area if you choose to get a bar package. It is all stone and wood. There is a beautiful outside area to get married and/or take pictures. They have a great bride room with its own toilet, lots of mirrors, and seats. The restrooms are very nice and large so people can change clothes is needed. I don't think you can find a prettier venue, especially at their prices. The catering was by Shack in the Back BBQ. They have special prices with that venue that you can't beat. We had BBQ pork and chicken with AMAZING mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and scrumptious green beans. The BBQ pork was very good with your choice of sauce. I was told (but didn't try it personally) that the BBQ wasn't very good. For an additional dollar per plate, it included lemonade and maybe something else to drink (I can't remember the details.) It was definitely worth the extra charge not to have to bring in our own drinks and make sure they were cold. The cake and cupcakes were very good. I LOVED the icing, it wasn't too sweet but just sweet enough. I got a mix of vanilla and chocolate. They put beautiful pink flowers on the top of the cake. I was really pleased with how it turned out. The MOST IMPORTANT part of the whole experience was the people that work there. Megan was wonderful to work with getting everything initially set up and managed. Louise did a great job on my flowers and gave me exactly what it asked for. But Janna, the coordinator, was absolutely the best part of the whole experience! She made sure every detail was planned out and ran smoothly. She was available by text or phone anytime I had a question or changed my mind. She was also the officiant at our ceremony and almost brought me to tears. She makes the whole Pop Up package work and knows exactly what she's doing. What a pleasure to work with! Please consider using Rivers Edge for your wedding or any event. Our order was for 27 bar stool tops and several table cloths (around 30) for the event. Ordering was simple enough. We called the local number received a quote agreed on a price ( $1,470) and setup a delivery date for the day before our event. Day of delivery they quoted a delivery window and stuck to the time. The table cloths were in good shape and taken care off. They messed up the color counts a bit but that wasn't a major issue to us. My bigger issue is with the high top bar stools we rented which was a big chunk of the expense. The bar stools probably need to be put out to pasture. All 27 looked horrible and had more miles on them then a Ford Model T. Which is ok if they were presentable and functional. Luckily we had plans to drape with nice table cloths anyways. However around 7-10 of them had missing bottoms to the feet and swayed more than a see saw during recess on a warm day. Majority of the table tops always came lose from the base. If they barely moved they broke apart or had to be retightened. I tried to track down the delivery guy who had zero cares for the situation. So we made a phone call back to the local office who said they would get some replacement table tops out same day. About an hour later a repair man came out with feet for the legs and some sticky tape to attach them. He tightened a few tables and left us sticky tape behind for when the table feet inevitably would come off. Overall extremely disappointed. You pay good money for what should be usable equipment that should not require sticky tape to be left behind to piece together. The table cloths were in good shape thankfully but the bar stool table tops were a complete mishap and in terrible shape. Time for the company to upgrade those for sure.

I was intimidated by the venue because of the space and height of the ceilings but Maria was so knowledgeable (and patient) and a true expert in not only utilizing the space and natural decor that the Henry Clay offers, but also translating my often scattered ideas into a tangible vision. I live in New York (my parents are in Louisville) and Maria met with me every time I was home as well as met with my mom several times to perfect the design and decor. She was arrived even before we did the day of the wedding and spent all day making sure everything was set up exactly right. She worked with us on the lighting, placement, and worked with with our florist and the Henry Clay on-site team to get all the details exactly right. Maria was an absolute dream to work with and our wedding would not have been what it was without her. She is also very helpful working within budgets and maximizing decor and design based on those budgetary concerns. The pictures do not do Maria and her design skills justice. Will definitely be using her in the future for any party decor/lighting rental needs in the future. After leaving, we received no follow up email or phone call regarding the missed appointment or making us wait while she was in the other room taking a call. Not to mention an apology. The other employees all seemed embarrassed by Kelli's lack of punctuality or concern. I gave Millennium a chance despite negative things I had heard from friends and other reviews, but now wish I would have believed them.
