She's lucky to get the 1 star. Where to begin. Julia isn't…read moreaware of what the duties are of a GAL and what they actually entail. Julia likes to operate like a co-parenting coordinator and very one sided. Julia likes to favor the parent that is not suitable to have custody in order to generate more drama = more money for her and the attorneys on the case. Julia will not visit your child when there is an injury, neglect, DHS on your case telling her she is wrong on her stance and needs to do more to protect the child. Julia likes to wait till 2wks before any court date to visit the child to show she's met with the kid checking her box for the judge and that being the only time she physically meets with the child. Julia will reach out to the favored party and inform them ahead of time what the other party is planning to do in court, evidence on file and what to do to correct the complaint to make it seem as if it was never an issue leaving the other party to look fabricated. Julia is a hypocrite when it comes to children and the cases she works on the "help". Quoted to a professional regarding concern for the child in her case to be left alone before and after school for hours and walking to and from school alone for over a mile and coming home to an unlocked home all day. Zero concern from her but when asked if she would allow this with her child who is the same age, her response was absolutely not. But it's completely satisfactory for your client to endure this but not your child? And allowed the child to continue this with her knowledge his safety was in question. No visit. No call. Nothing. Julia also issues protective orders for children when forced to in court and not on her own free will and power. Julia will not honor that protective order for your child. She will actually allow it to be ignored fully. Example: You can have a protective order against a significant other that has a criminal/violent/SA background and has hurt the other parent at pick up granting a protective order against the person to stay away from the minor. Julia WILL condone in that decision to marry that other parent, move in, babysit the child unsupervised, and allow the child to be moved out the home the child has lived their whole life to go be with this person and the mother in their new home, and zero communications to the other parent, legal parties, etc. when informed of the contempt and safety concern. Completely and blatantly ignoring the court order set in place by her and the judge. Julia will not honor a emergency custody order for the party she does not favor even with proof of neglect, harm and ignoring court orders that are in place to ensure safety for the minor child. Trust me, you do not want this firm, or person representing you, your child or anyone you care about. She will not do her due diligence in your case to ensure your child's best interest and safety are considered. Julia will ignore professional therapists assigned to the case for co parenting and Julia allows the parent she favors to ignore that order as well and other parent won't have to attend. Even when the therapist picked up on mental illness. Court orders with Julia on the case do not mean anything to her. She is pro Mother only and does not respect Father's. The more money you pay her will not improve anything with her, you can make payments on time and that is not going to sway her to work harder for you. Julia will reach out regarding her bill that is due before she has called, seen your child or followed up with you about a phone call or email. Her money is what is most important in her career than it is protecting the children she's signed up to help and be the voices for. She is a worthless excuse for an attorney and advocate for children. Total waste of your time and money and could cost you your child's life or yours. DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRM OR ATTORNEY. Total garbage and will only hurt your case and your family. Beware!!!!
