I needed to get my bridesmaid dress altered about a month before my sister's wedding. The dress was from David's Bridal, so I went there first to see if they could alter my dress. The lady at David's Bridal informed me that I could never get my dress altered in time, since one month for alterations was simply too short notice (pLeAsE). They also said the alterations were going to cost about $130. My bridesmaid dress only cost $155, so you can imagine how my jaw dropped at the figure. I needed them to take in the dress a little and change the hem line - with that price I could have purchased a whole new dress! So, I started a search of local tailoring places. I called Tony Ghantous Tailoring, and was so glad I did! Not only did they alter my dress in about 3 days, they only charged me about $60, and they also provided friendly service. There is a small parking lot behind the store front, so parking was easy as well. I would definitely come back here. Great price, and speedy service. I've had them do alterations on a variety of items. From sim people pants to cutting the sleeves off of a jacket and making it a vest for a costume. Every single time they do a good job. I have tried other tailors in town because they were closer to my house but regretted it and went back and to Ghantous and haven't regretted it since. Really are the best. I went to Ghantous Tailoring due to a defect in an item I had ordered online. Specifically, the item was a trench coat sent with buttonholes that were too small for the buttons. I took the coat to Tony who took one look at it and attempted to make the holes bigger simply by using scissors to make an extra snip. He then proceeded to fix the rest of the buttonholes. His method worked and he refused compensation. Acts of honesty such as this are difficult to find. I will be sure to come back to Tony with my business. read more

I have gone to Tony in the past (2011-2013) and had great experiences, including an altered bridesmaid dress. However, after my most recent visit, probably Fall 2013, I will not go back. As just one example, I had a sweater altered and realized after I got home they didn't even trim the leftover thread. I had to trim it myself. They told me they were going to re-seam the entire collar and they did not do that either. They just patched the ripped seam. It was very poor quality and I will not go back after this experience. read more

He and his employees are fabulous- I had the entire lining of a coat redone and it looks like new and a few other things that are flawless. I had a historical civil war ball gown made for me by a renown historical gown seamstress and was devastated when I received it because it did not fit me properly. The seamstress was located four hours away and I needed to wear the gown in only two days. The satin gown was completely covered in two types of beaded lace and I was petrified that one little mistake could totally ruin it! I made numerous phone calls to tailors and Tony Ghantous was the only one who could fit me in on such a short schedule. They not only completed the alterations in only one day but they did it superbly. I owe all the compliments I received at the hotel and the ball to the seamstress who designed and made the gown and to Tony Ghantous for making it fit me perfectly.
