As a new patient with no eye issues, I simply needed an eye exam and new contacts. I was charged for the following: Comprehensive Exam (New Patient): $215 Determination of Refractive State: $42 Contact Lens Fit/Evaluation Level 1: $75 Optos Wellness Scan: $35 Total charges came to $367 before insurance. After insurance adjustments and payments, I still paid $95 out of pocket ($35 at the appointment and another $60 balance). What disappointed me was that I wasn't coming in with any special concerns. I just needed new contacts, yet it felt like every possible service was added. I was also quoted $332 for a year's supply of contacts. I decided to go to Costco instead, and after my VSP benefits, I paid only about $40 for my contacts. Compared to what I would have spent here, the choice was easy. To be fair, the doctor was very nice, professional, and helpful. My issue was not with the doctor, but with the overall experience and the billing. The staff interaction was below average, and I left feeling disappointed. The $95 I paid out of pocket here would have covered my full eye exam at Costco. My advice is to do your research and read the reviews carefully. Dont ignore what people say. I did and unfortunately I paid for it, based on my experience, I will not be returning.

They make sure you have everything you need but aren't just trying to upsell you on everything. Dr. Bateman is awesome and really seems to care about getting his patients taken care of. I would highly recommend this eye doctor as a no nonsense option to get you the prescription and glasses/contacts you need.

No other store has ever gotten it right....not even close, but Alan spent a lot of time giving me extended lens prescription options, which not only vastly improved my general vision, and also created a set of special music glasses that are PERFECT! Having had good eyes for most of the 34 years of my life, all I had previously had to deal with at the opticians was to get my regular health check, have them say I was tip-top, and to see them again the next year. However In 2011 I had an instance of Iritis (something I don't recommend to anyone - ouch), and since then my left eye has had a slight stigmatism. Dr. Conklin has attended to my last three eye exams, is very pleasant in his demeanour, and will sit and chat with you about any issues, put your mind at ease if you're worried about failing an eye exam miserably, and will explain all the options or requirements that may help you enjoy your eyes a little more than what god has given you ;) Spending 10 hours + a day on a computer of some kind doesn't help my eyes at all, and this time around I took the opportunity to get some "computer glasses" that will fast become my firm campion as I ride out the days in front of my beloved electronic products. As I said, these are my first pair of glasses, and I am thankful that Brian and Liz were on hand to help me not only a) find the right lenses for me, but also b) "hum, ha, ooh and ah!" while I tried on a number of frames. The best part about having some more opinions on the last part is that you try on things you might not usually pick, and I for one am very happy with the not so classic Amy style that I brought home with me. So thanks Classic, and I will continue to come back for my eye health needs as long as you keep up with the amazing service.

We found Classic Optical several years ago and since then we won't go to other optometrist or even just to get eyeglasses. Dr. Michael Conklin is always checking our eyes very carefully and thoroughly to make sure we have no serious issues. He will not recommend expensive surgery if we don't need it now. Staffs are super friendly and kind. Make sure we get the best benefit with insurance and what we like when we look for frames. They will never force to purchase expensive eyeglasses unless we want to. What else you can ask for? Thank you so much! We found a great optometrist and staffs that we can trust!
