I would save your $ and go elsewhere. I went in to have a tooth filled and they sure did fill it in and when she was complete I heard an unusual noise and felt like she chipped it and the hygienist actually cracked the tooth. The dentist came in said it looks good. That night flossing it I could feel the gap there. Sure enough went to another dentist to evaluate and said it was cracked. If a filling was just done it shouldn't have a huge gap in it like this. I would assume with student loans and trying to buy a new practice needs to make the $. I notified Dr. Fisher and she never even responded = UNETHICAL DENTIST. read more

I want to sit down right now before I forget to write a GLOWING review of this amazing place. I have extreme dental anxiety due to previous dental trauma and the staff did everything within their power to make this a positive experience. I truly did enjoy getting to meet everyone and being walked through every step, there were no surprises, no unexpected pokes or pain, simple straight forward honesty. They also provide a comfort menu of items to help make your visit less stressful like a weighted blanket etc.I am so thankful to have found this place. read more

I love this dental office! They are very professional, friendly and kind. The staff really seem to care about your comfort. Dr Fisher is the best. She called me at home to check on me after I had a cavity filled. That was so nice! I appreciate the professionalism in the office. The staff is knowledgeable and take great care of you. I have to go often to the dentist. I have somewhat bad gums and need to get my teeth cleaned quarterly. So, I'm very familiar with the dentists office. Dr. Painter and his entire staff are very warm, friendly and professional. The office is beautiful. I most often see Sarah who cleans my teeth. She's the best!! She takes very good care of me. Our unique office is located in a renovated barn, and we strive to foster a comfortable, welcoming environment. Our dental team at Tooth Acres Dentistry is friendly and caring, and they are always happy to answer your questions. For over 30 years, our experienced dentist has proudly served Fort Wayne and the nearby communities of New Haven, Hoagland, Yoder, Aboite, Spencerville, Laotto, Huntington, and Columbia City, Indiana with excellent dental care. Meet the Business Owner: Gary P.

Dr. Painter is originally from Hoagland, Indiana and graduated from Heritage High School. He has been married to his wife, Judy, since 1983. They have five children - three daughters and two sons - and four grandchildren. Dr. Painter is an avid bicyclist; he cycles every day and has raced all over the USA. He also represented the USA at the 2016 World Championships and won first in his age group! Dr. Gary Painter earned his undergraduate degree at Purdue University, then graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. While he has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years, he continues to expand his education in the dental field by regularly attending continuing education courses that keep him current on new advances. Dr. Painter is a member of the American Dental Association, and he has received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, and TMJ therapy. He strives to treat each patient as an individual and help them keep their teeth for a lifetime.

Dr. Creech tried to give her sedatives before filling in her cavities. The procedure was unsuccessful, as my daughter went absolutely hysterical. A relative watched her while the receptionist sent me to the treatment room for Dr. Creech to explain what had happened. He didn't even show up even after 30 or 40 minutes. Finally, we gave up because it was unbearable to have my daughter behave uncontrollably because of the sedative. We were all angry by then. Later, we went to another pediatric dentist, and he successfully filled in her cavities. If your child needs cavities filled, look for another dental group.

I was told Dr. Wright was the pediatric doctor and would only see my son on a Tuesday or Thursday. That's fine. I told the front staff when I called that he's in tremendous pain and I want to get him in as soon as possible. She let me know that the soonest available was a month and a half out, but that's just a consultation visit and they won't do any fillings or fixing. I practically begged that since we have to wait I would like them to actually address some of the cavities that first appointment. She spoke with the doctor and said they could do that. I spent that time researching and doing everything in my mama power to heal my son at home as holistically as I could. What I did was working and my sons pain went from a 10 to an occasional 5. Thank God! When we arrived to our appointment (May 5) and the staff wasn't exactly happy or encouraging of my son at his first appointment. Wright eventually comes in his room, doesn't greet my son, doesn't strike up conversation with him or even slightly attempt to make him feel comfortable for his first appointment (which I made known). Wright took the X-ray, looked in his mouth (baby teeth) and told me his top teeth have several cavities and his bottom do not- they're perfect. "In my 30 years I can't say I have seen this before." I mentioned that my son is ready today to have Wright work on them and he so kindly (lol) said that he can't because he has to go to lunch. I said I would really like it to be addressed as I had requested when I made the appointment originally and he had been in pain so it only makes sense we do even a little bit today. "Sorry it's my lunch you can schedule at the front desk". I asked Wright if I could show him what I have been doing at home and if he had any additional suggestions. I brought up hydroxyapatite tooth paste, supplements, oil pulling, xylitol, etc. His words immediately were "Oh that's all anecdotal. That's anecdotal." So basically I get a doctor laughing in my face, a mom who just wants her baby to feel better, has done her own research, desperate to affect change while admitting I am not a dentist and I need his help. He left the room, without a word, never said 'good job buddy' to my kid and I said "Oh... just walk out and not say anything? Strange.." I brushed it off and while my son was in the prize room I over heard Dr Wright discussing down the hall with another doctor about my sons appointment. I heard "Yeah she said she's using hydroxyapatite and I told her that's anecdotal it's just your opinion haha!!" I grabbed my son, went to the front desk and Wright walked past me so I stopped him. I asked him if he found it appropriate to gossip about a patient while they're still in the building. If he thought that his behavior would be perceived as professional to a mom that just over heard him. I asked him why he couldn't have just waited til I left the building. His response was hilarious and a lie. "Oh I was talking about a different patient with dry mouth." And for the first time he actually looks at my son in the face, gives him a high five (because he was embarrassed and called out) and says if we need any anti biotic then we can call in the office. *insert eye roll* Needless to say, I cancelled all future appointments and was happy I got a follow up text to leave a review. Whether or not you agree with any holistic approach to dental work, do your research and find a dentist that isn't creepy, doesn't have horrible bed side manner, actually acts like he enjoys working with children and doesn't sh*t talk you the second he walks out of the room. 0/10 would not recommend.

Our family are newer patients and we LOVE Tooth Acres! The building is amazingly beautiful, the front desk staff are among some of the most pleasant people I have ever met, not to mention they offer really great options to make your visit relaxing (it's spa-like). My 8 year old son loved coming in and really liked Dr. Painter, he felt very comfortable with everything and was fine to go back by himself. He said "I love that Dentist, everything is really cool". My 3 year old was seen for an emergency visit and then again for his first cleaning. Both times Dr. Painter & the staff was wonderful with him and he wasn't scared to go back by himself. He was so excited to show me the pictures of his teeth. During my first appointment I had to bring my 1 year old (due to a last minute babysitter issue) and everyone was so understanding. They all took turns keeping my son happy in his stroller, it really made me feel welcome! My husband had quite a bit of work done at his first appointment. He was thoroughly impressed with the work and quality; but really raved about how kind everyone was. Overall going to Tooth Acres is a genuinely enjoyable experience. I am so pleased to have found this dentistry. My husband has been a very happy patient for years. I just went through the 'crown' experience and what a great one it was. I used to white-knuckle the dentist chair but Gary is so good with shots and has such a gentle touch, i just relax, watch the beautiful pictures above me, and almost fall asleep. The hygienists treat you like you are the only person that matters - sincere, caring, knowledgable and skilled. Appointments are easy to make, quick to get in, and very affordable. I know this sounds strange but for the first time in memory, I was actually excited about a dental visit! Which is crazy I know but then again if you haven't experienced the thoughtful and professional individuals who serve you at this facility, what else could you think? My wife and I recently moved to the area and this is the best dental practice we've ever experienced. It's a clean, comfortable and fun facility with clearly communicated practices, well documented procedures, cutting edge technology and a pretty chill staff. I have been going to this office since Dr. Gary L. Painter opened it. It remains at the level of great care it has always been. The staff is friendly and cares for your comfort. I have TMJ which makes it difficult to hold my mouth open for long. The staff took this into account on my recent journey to replace a 30 yr old crown. They went out of their way to give me breaks. They offer some complementary care choices such as a hot towel afterward or even laughing gas prior to a procedure. I love this place! Dr. Painter does excellent work and is so gentle. He takes the time to explain everything you need and doesn't go overboard with adding on things you don't really need. I went to Tooth Acres with an issue that I was afraid would need a major (expensive) fix and got diagnosed with a fairly minor issue. I was only charged a small fee for the one X-Ray. I have a new patient appointment in a couple of weeks and will be getting any needed work done here. read more
