I bought my brother a hat for Christmas and wanted a patch sewn on. They were reasonably priced and super helpful.

This shop ruined my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding and I had to buy a new one just days before the ceremony. They were asked to fix the sticky bra part on the front of the dress because it flipped down whenever I moved. The owner stated that tightening around the arms would fix that easily. When I picked up my dress, the once comfortable sleeves were now painfully tight and the original issue was still present. I spoke with the owner about this and she suggested to "buy sticky tape because you can't really fix that". If I had known her professional advice would be to buy sticky tape, I wouldn't have paid $60 to have that fixed. She offered to try again, but at this point it was only a couple days before the wedding and I didn't have time to waste *hoping* she would get it right this time. I sent a message letting her know that my experience was not what I had hoped for and that a refund for the top part of the dress would be appreciated. In total I spent $110 to alter this dress and I only asked for $60 of that back. She went silent after I asked for the refund. I checked in again today and she told me not to text her anymore and was incredibly rude. So here we are. I was referred to this shop by several family members. It seems that some people have a good experience here, but sadly (and stressfully) I was not one of them. Will not be returning and I'd warn that you find anywhere else if it's for something majorly important like a wedding. Can't take any chances here! 0/0 stars read more

I stopped in last week to inquire about having my daughter's cheer skirt altered. The lady was dismissive and then quoted me $100 to do it which is more than the price of a brand new one. She came across to me as though we were an annoyance and she clearly didn't want to help us. My young daughter immediately commented on how rude the lady was when we got in the car. It was an upsetting experience and not how I would treat potential customers if I cared about my business. read more

Terrible customer service. I wouldn't bother if I were you. I got a very basic alteration to my mother of the bride dress. When I called for it the day she asked me to, she couldn't find it. I gave her my ticket number. She looked again and said "are you sure you brought it here I can't find it. I'll call you back today". She didn't. Finally I called again she says "come tomorrow". I got it thankfully. She handed it to me on a metal hanger and not even in a plastic/garment bag. Handed it to me like an old dish rag. Thanks a lot lady. You'll never see me again. read more

Poor quality and even worse customer service. I brought in 4 curtain panels that I needed shortened by 5 inches (brand new, still in the packaging from the store). When I hung them, one of them was significantly shorter than the other three (by at least 1.5 inches). No problem- mistakes happen, so I took them back. When I brought them back, the seamstress first tried to tell me that they were different lengths to start (again, brand new and still in packaging so I found this doubtful). She later admitted that she never measured the panels so I'm unsure as to how she knew they were different lengths. The (?)owner then came out and stated that it was my fault for saying I wanted them shortened by x inches instead of saying I wanted them x inches long (so why not correct/question me when I brought them in?). She then tried to tell me they would charge half price to fix the curtain, then finally agreed to fix their mistake for free. When my husband went to pick them up on the agreed upon date, they stated that they weren't ready and that they had told me (no missed calls, no voicemail). After finally getting them and hanging once again, the panel is now about an inch shorter than the other 3. So frustrating! I'm just thankful that they were curtains and not a very sentimental/treasured piece. read more

The door and on google clearly says closes at 6pm so I showed up at 5:48pm to receive my military uniform pants that should've been fix, she wasn't there. I had to call her 5 times. She answered with an attitude claiming that she always tells her customer that she closes at 5 but she clearly did not tell me. I told her I needed my uniform pants because I was leaving the next day. She said "that's your fault you were late" even though I had just got of duty. While traveling to Sacramento for business, I had a misplaced piece of luggage thanks to my airline. I had to buy new suits for meetings but, of course, they didn't fit me. I scrambled to Top Alterations for urgent help! I see these other reviews talking about closing time struggles and all but I had a drastically different experience. The owner met me at the shop at 7pm, even though they were already closed. She drove back to the shop because she could sense my urgency. Not only did she do that, she also had all my items altered and ready faster than I could have imagined! With reviews, I always wonder what the other side of the story is when someone has a bad experience because, from what I saw, this business understands what top tier customer service should be. read more

I went in to get a bridesmaid dress tailored. Its nice that they are one of the few people to regularly answer the phone and they do same day alterations, but they're also very pricey and not that accurate. My dress ended up 2 inches too long even in my heels when what I had specified was that it be just above the ground. Thus, it kept dragging the whole day when I wore it, but I didn't have the time to go back and make them fix it. The cost was also $35 for just hemming whereas other places you can do it for like $15. This guy with a jacket came in before me and she charged him $50 and tried to claim that her boss would've charged even more. They also charge $.50 for using a credit card, which is very annoying when tailoring's so expensive to begin with. read more

Simple pants alteration. They did a great job and delivered on time.

They saved me! I had a very formal event Saturday, and made the mistake of going to another place to get my gown also dry cleaned. I picked up my still dirty, terribly altered gown Friday at closing. I cried. I called Top Alterations to ask if they could do anything. The woman answered and, even though it was almost closing, she said to come right away! I put on the dress and showed her a photo of what it was supposed to look like. She cut the terrible sewing job from the last place (good thing I asked to keep the extra fabric!) and measured me the right way. She stayed longer than she hoped just to measure the dress and have it ready by noon the next day for me. I felt so bad, but so so thankful to her!!!!! Thank you Top Alterations! Just picked up my wedding gown and tried it on..... PERFECT!! Nadia is who fitted me and she is so nice and helpful and her experience shows in her work. My gown has a lot of very delicate beading and appliques throughout the dress. The entire back is lace. When I dropped my dress to Top Alterations a week ago, it was 2 sizes too big and now it fits like a glove. The total cost including a bustle was just over $300. I'm not sure if that is pricey in the alterations world or not-- she did have to shorten the gown, and take it in at both the sides and top of my shoulders. I'm really happy with how my gown turned out and was impressed at how quick they were able to get it done :-) Highly recommend! read more

I've been here several times for my alterations but I just decided today was my last time. The lady who gave me my clothes was extremely rude and tried to rush me out of the store after getting my clothes even though I wanted to make sure that the zipper works properly (I've had false alarms where I thought the zipper worked but when I try the jeans on it is still broken). Then after letting me try the jeans on she goes on to say "I don't understand why you need to try it on if it's just a zipper" in a rude tone. There's no need to have this tone with a paying customer who just wants to make sure their clothes are properly fixed. I will not be returning unless these workers treat their customers with kindness or at least respect. read more

I left my clothes for her to fix, she told me to come on friday after 2pm. I decided to go on friday at 4 pm since in Google says they close at six, when i got there the place was close, so i called her and she literally screamed at me telling me the close at noon due to covid and i told her that she clearly told me to come on friday after 2 and then she agree to meet with me at 5pm. I told her i was going to get my nails done and then at called her at 5 telling her i was taking longer eith my nails and to ask her if she could wait 20 mins, she agail screamed at me and told me she couldnt when i was going to just tell her if you cant ill meet you another day. The seamstress at Top Alterations saved my daughter's Senior Ball! We bought a dress online, and for an extra fee paid for "custom fitting". Well, the dress arrived and it didn't fit. Was too small (and my daughter is tiny!) The zipper broke before we could even get it all the way up. With Senior Ball only a week away, I scrambled to find someone who could fix it, in addition to making a seemingly impossible alteration to the straps (they were so short, they cut into my daughter's shoulders!). After reading the Yelp reviews on Top Alterations, we took it down there and explained what needed to be done. The seamstress said she could let it out and fix the zipper, but that it would take a miracle to fix the straps because they hadn't left any extra fabric to do so. We asked her to do her best. On the day of pick up, my daughter tried on her dress and it fit perfectly. The owner herself worked some magic and lengthened the straps. HORRIBLE!!! These ladies have no idea what they are doing! They are also rude and unprofessional. I brought my bridesmaid dress in for an alteration (shorten the spaghetti straps, add bra cups, slightly take it in around my rib cage). It cost $75 and it took them nearly a week to do it and they destroyed the dress. It was almost un-wearable once they were done with it, which made for a very long day at the wedding. read more
