This review is in regards to buying, not pawning. This is a really small store. The staff were friendly when I arrived and they were both dressed nicely with ties. The selection of items isn't huge and everything seems older, but I did want to stop by just to browse. I can't speak on the price of much but the selection left something to be desired. I wouldn't go back here, or maybe May is just a bad time of year for what they take in. read more

Probably the worst Pawn shop in all of the greater Austin area, whatever the value your item is they'll offer in between 2-5% on it, even brand new items. Highly lacking in the knowledge aspect of products. Brought in an item still brand new in box worth over $500 and the guy behind the counter said $30. The place looks barren, with items that have probably been sitting there for years. Highly recommend this store always and forever be skipped when looking to pawn items or buy from a pawn shop. read more

First off, if you're posting a review to cry about what you got offered for a ring/gun/appliance, step back and look at where you are - it's a PAWN SHOP. This isn't "Pawn Stars," people. If your stuff is worth a crap, sell it somewhere for what it's worth - a pawn shop is going to offer you the lowest price they can to minimize their risk and maximize their profit potential. You're not going to get rich pawning your worthless belongings. On the other hand, if you want to buy used merchandise at a fair price, this Top Cash has better quality goods and lower prices than any of the other locations in the chain. Over the course of 30 years scouring pawn shops for deals, I've learned one irrefutable fact - the manager makes or breaks the location. The manager here is knowledgeable, friendly, and cooperative. I've spent quite a bit of money at this location in the last 10 years, and will continue to do so. As an eBay Reseller, I frequent this pawn shop often. It is always clean and well organized. This shop has great items and I get a lot of laptops, tablets and electronics here. They have something new every time I go in instead of the same old dusty items I see at other pawn chains. The manager doesn't mind that I am re-selling and works with me for some good deals. I had an emergency two days ago and needed $400, and I saw this pawn shop next to I-35. I took my chain and my pendant (total 22g) to pawn to that store around 7:15 pm. The first time that I ever visited your store. A Lady was texting behind the loan counter ( guess she was an employee) and nobody else available to help. I explained my situation and the amount of money needed. She ran outside to call her manager that was outside sitting in his car. The manager Jeremy (identified himself like that) was pretty annoyed that I interrupted whatever he was doing outside. He took my chain and went behind the counter. He came back in the most arrogant and unprofessional manner to say that I can get barely $200 because the troy ounce of gold was only $31 and your chain weights only 15.6 g. He gave me the chain in the most uninterested way without looking at my pendant. I ask for his Supervisor name and phone number, and he immediately replied that his boss (David) phone was personal and he doesn't like the client to call. I ask for the corporate number, and he denied that too. I went to EZ Pawn, and they lent me the $400 that I needed. I have the ticket to prove it. It is very disappointing seen this pseudo-manager destroy a good company image and reputation with that horrible attitude. Thanks to us (the clients) he has a job, and the company makes its money to pay his salary. I have worked extensively in the insurance, pawn, retail and customer service industry, and my career spans 20 years of diligent and tireless contribution to my work. All of which have been at a managerial level. I always showed my appreciation to all my clients, providing a first class customer service and always finding ways to say "yes." read more

Let start with my loan ended on Friday 062515, I went in on Tuesday to let them know i can pay off my loan on July 1st. The lady told me it would be ok. Well on July 1 the manager told me no and i had to pay over 200 for the 80.00 loan. I had to buy my stuff back since i didn't come back on friday. I explained to him they got cameras and can see i was there on tues and to ask his rep. The manager told me he would call me back the next day he had to get with his rep. Guess what no call back. I showed up on july 2 and the manager told me i had to pay or renew my load since his rep didn't remember me and the camera didn't show me at the store. I just paid him the 238.00 and then he gave me a receipt and told me I had to come back for my stuff because its off sight. REALLY???? when i asked him how come i wasn't told my stuff was not there yesterday or before i even paid? why no sign says my stuff is not here either!!! The manager told me " i don't have to notify you of anything"..... Its now the 9th and I still have not received a call back that my stuff is back at the store for me to pick up. read more

I purchased a handgun from them and when I finally got the chance to test it out it didn't work. I brought it back to see what type of resolution they would offer for selling a broken firearm.... they held the gun for two months, telling me every time I called for an update that it was still being fixed. A week before I was going out of town I told the manager that I was going out of town for an extended period of time and would like to have it back before I left, he told me that it was finally fixed and I could pick it up Friday afternoon. When I called Friday to see if it had been delivered yet I was told it was still being repaired! Of course it was the day off for the manager who I had been working with so no one knew what was going on and couldn't help me other than promising to "call me back in a few minutes" which ended up being someone else calling me back with a message. I finally asked if I could pick it up unrepaired since I obviously wasn't getting anywhere with them. They sell broken firearms and probably other broken items, give you the run around, and instead of the manager taking responsibility of a situation he just kept passing the buck to the employees who are not involved and know nothing about the situation. I will never purchase anything from another pawn shop but if I did it would especially not be from this one they are the very reason people don't trust pawn shops. read more
