They caught my stovetop on fire, broke the wood under both sets of cabinets, damaged all of the appliances, damaged the subfloor, sawed their materials in my living room and they had no precautions set up to protect my home from all of the debris they created. They didn't even bring a shop vac. All of my appliances were left unprotected during demo and are caked in tile debris. My sofa, pillows and blankets are all covered in saw dust and the air quality was so poor Servpro had to come in and put air scrubbers in the house. Who would have thought a simple floor job would cause this much damage and cause me to have to relocate . Unskilled, laborers are not worth the $ you saved to hire them. Floor Install Systems is taking no responsibility for the damage they have created and lied to the insurance company telling them that they agreed to fix it for me. That never happened, maybe you promised that to another mistake you made but it wasn't a conversation that we had. In addition, I had removed everything possible from the room, all they had to do was move the appliances but according to Jack it was my job to move those too (even though there is a charge in the invoice for the appliances). He would know that the rooms were empty IF he'd bothered to come look at the jobsite the following morning when I asked. Instead he kept putting me off until LL Flooring said they would take the info from me for him. Consumers beware, they also work for LL Flooring. The pics do not do the damage justice.

I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

I worked with the Grimaldi team when I moved in to my home in southern NJ back in 2016. They did…read moresome joist reinforcements, remodeled a bathroom, covered fascia boards on my roof, and repaired cracked cinderblocks. Since then, I've discovered all the things that were wrong with the job - the latest of which was today: 1) They beam reinforcements broke through my upstairs floor, so it's not level and we've had to build over and around it since (they used a steel i-beam, so not able to replace or repair easily); 2) The cinder block repairs were unnecessary- what I needed was a foundation repair; 3) They broke boards in the floor while jacking the ceiling and did a shoddy job throwing 2x4 in place that wasn't flush with the floor; 4) In the bathroom, they didn't repair the toilet properly, so I had three wax rings and a toilet that was connected to nothing (started leaking into my ceiling last week, now getting repaired properly by a plumber). 5) When they did the work, because I paid Mark up front, what should have been done in a few weeks took about three months. He'd go for long periods with his guys not showing up before they'd come back. Having now done more real estate investing and remodeling, I recognize that he was probably upside down on cash flow and was doing jobs to keep paying his guys and slotting us in where he could. There are some other items, but I strongly recommend that you look for another contractor for any serious job you do.
