This was my first time here as I moved to Middleton about a year ago. My sheepadoodle got into a bush that was full of tiny seeds that stuck all over his fur. He also needed a bath, so I decided to try a local groomer. The ladies that helped me were super nice, and they use the same brand of dog shampoo that I use at home. Although it did take longer that expected, they did a great job! They even trimmed up his private parts and got all the seeds that were sticking to him. Plus he smells amazing... I just love smelling him now. He went from "stinky poodle" back to "sheepadoodle" in a half a day. I definitely recommend Top Dog Grooming. read more

This place is amazing! Everyone who works here is so nice and they really care about your animals. I have a husky malamute mix who was long over due for a grooming. After a few bad experiences both by myself and my dog I have found it very hard to find a groomer I can trust and who is willing to put in the work that my dog needs. My dog hates the dryer and hates being brushed but she's a loving pup. She just needed someone who would be patient with her. I'm so glad I found Brittany at top dog grooming! She called me multiple times while grooming my dog to keep me informed of what she needed to do and to make sure I was happy with the decisions she made. She informed me that my dog was a good girl she just needed someone who would take it slow with her and do things at her speed and comfort level. Brittany might not know this but I cried a couple times while on the phone with her simply because I could tell how much she cared for my dog. When I picked up my dog I was insanely pleased she looked so beautiful and was better than I ever could have imagined especially considering how bad she was before her appointment. We set up a grooming schedule so we can get my dog on a routine to go every three months. Thanks to Brittany my dog will never get that bad again and over time get more comfortable going to the groomer. These girls made my day I cannot thank them enough for everything. I recently took both of my dogs in for long overdue groomings. All my requests were met and both my girls look terrific! Brittany and her other staff were wonderful. As this was our first time there, I went in prepared with copies of my girls up to date vaccinations to complete their client cards.it took a bit of extra time to establish as new customers but was well worth it. Brittney was amazing with Bailey, my 5 1/2 month goldendoodle, his second time at a groomer so I wasn't sure how he would react. She was very loving and he warmed up to her fast. The salon was clean and calm, and had a very welcome feeling to it. I knew when I left that he was in good hands. When I picked him up, he looked fantastic and was very happy and his playful self. I have taken my dog to Top Dog Grooming almost since their opening. I was happy with their service and grooming for my dog. After the change over of personnel, the service, and quality of grooming went downhill. Getting an appointment has gone to a 2 to 3 weeks out, and that would be okay, except it appears that they double booked causing a 2 hour grooming time, from dropping off at appointed time to picking up my dog, to a 4 hour time span.... WOW! The grooming went to barely acceptable to a choppy hair grooming. The ladies are sorry, and willing to fix the problem, I wasn't willing nor had the time to leave my dog more than the already extended grooming time. Calling to make an appointment has been an issue as well, the answering machine won't even record a call, this has been several calls that this has occurred over a period of time. On top of it all, they raised the price. I miss the service and grooming I received from the original Brittany who established the business with good service and good grooming. read more

I have taken two of my dogs here and they have done a great job. They were both doodles and it's so hard to find a groomer that will cut their hair like you want. Additionally they did a great job cleaning out the ears on one of my dogs. Where I have taken him before they don't clean the ears well enough and he would frequently get ear infections, not anymore!
