Any place would have to be better... I took an item here for a "loan". I requested special wrapping to prevent damage, and was told it would be done. Picked the item up... paid the "finance charge"... item damaged. Of course they wouldn't admit fault, but it was absolutely not damaged when dropped off. They put one layer of stretch wrap over it. The wrap they use is like plastic wrap to cover leftover food. Once and done for me. Highly do not recommend. Other shops in the area are far superior. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! My boyfriend and I went in looking for some new DVDs to get for our collection. When we went up to pay one of the male workers walked up to our cashier who was a younger female and scorned her for not keeping the last customers there longer. He explained that they had a warrant and he was trying to stale till the police got there. She let him know that she didn't know and she was sorry and he continued to stare at her then walked away. He stared long enough to make anyone uncomfortable. I told the girl I was sorry and he came up and started whispering to her while eyeing me from the corner of his eye. The manager there is incredibly rude also. I will never go here again. Choose a different pawn shop. This one is trash. read more

They never called so I had to go their store and ask them. they asked me to go different store to get the new one for 8 times. Which it takes 15mins to drive. Terrible place! I bought a three stone ring. In their light I could not see crushed diamond, about 1/4 carat. They don't bother to check things when they come on, either not take them or repair before they hit the floor. And no returns . They agreed to replace diamond and size. But I had to go to their South store. Don't know about you, but gas isn't cheap. They were also very rude. Thought they knew it all. Never ever stop there again! The worst experience as far as customer service I have ever experienced. The manager is the one who was extremely unprofessional. I bought an xbox one and one extra controller. I it home and that controller broke by me just pressing one of the joy sucks down. It broke on the inside. Now the PAWN SHOP like most has so many days return policy . When I took it up there the next day all I got was hassled by the manager talking about it must have fell on the floor or something other than it just breaking. I told that's crazy how he was saying we did this on purpose or neglected to take care of it. Would not replace it but made me buy another controller that did not come with a cord. It was a controller that was a steeleseries and was Bluetooth but had a weird cord not like any I'm use to. The manager would not give me a cord that would go with it. I decided you really have to take reviews of pawn shops with a grain of salt, because many people go in with expectations based on having zero experience with how pawn shops work in the first place. People don't realize just because they have an item that they paid several hundred dollars for, doesn't mean they can expect to get anything remotely close to that for sure. For one, pawn shops have to base prices on what the items are going for USED, which automatically is going to make a huge difference if youre walking in with a dollar amount in mind based on what you payed new. Not to mention, pawn shops have to consider what they can actually sell for profit, so even if you have a thousand dollar ring, not many people able to spend 1k on a ring are going to a pawn shop to get it in the first place, so items are priced and selected based on what the shop has an actual chance of selling, and sometimes really expensive items don't have a chance. That being said Top Dollar Pawn is the fairest and most flexible pawn shop I've experienced. I worked with Taylor who asks off the bat how much you're hoping to get so she has an idea as to how to work with you to hopefully get you as close to that number as possible (granted it's reasonable). They base their prices off what the same items are going for "used"on eBay, so you know you're getting a realistic price quote, not a number they pull out of their heads based on how they're feeling that day....I've been using this location on N Academy for awhile after a financial crisis and everyone was more then helpful and truly did what they could to help me out in whatever means they were able. If you're looking to pawn, this is the place. The bad reviews are from people who likely didn't get their way because they don't understand pawn shops are a business... and they can't pay you what they can't sell. If you want to be ripped off, go to Top Dollar Pawn on 6385 Academy Blvd N Colo Spgs, CO 80918. My beef with the pawn store is that they sell defective items and refuse to return monies. They will offer you one half of the purchase price or store credit. Even if the product was purchased one day ago! Their prices are extremely high, including their gun sales. I looked up two of their guns and their used gun prices were over the price of a new gun sold at others stores. I have been a customer, for multiple years, even when they moved locations. Recently I had an item in pawn that has been there for numerous months, always paid on time... I had a financial hardship recently causing me to be a little late on the payments, so today I got the text message that my item was due today on the final day so I made sure to get in there and bring the full payment to get my item out of pawn... Now when I did this I was met with extreme hostility being told that my Camera was already up for sale and I tried letting them know and showing them the text message that showed that I could receive my item on this day and I still continue to get argued by I guess manager of the place and he proceeded to tell me that by law the camera was not mine and that there was nothing I can do and he didn't have to give me my camera, by law, so after much arguing he finally excepted my payment at which point he continued to start calling me "peter pan" and harassed me with what seemed to be some form of homophobic slurs maybe assuming that by the way I looked I was possibly a homosexual, which I'm not. Not that that should matter, I just feel that I need to let somebody know that the people working at this establishment are prone to using extremely offensive and homophobic slurs against their customers for almost no reason seeming. I was with my mother on this day also and I am a 25-year-old man walking out of there with my camera feeling belittled and being called peter pan buy the manager was extremely disrespectful and also very hurtful, I will not return back to this establishment. read more
