Love these guys and couldn't and wouldn't do business anywhere else. They're family owned unlike the other pawn shops and will treat you like family. They've always given me the best deal they could on stuff I've pawned/sold there. I mean, it's a Pawn Shop, You'll never get retail price on used items no matter where you go and these fellas are the best at being fair. They even give you an extra 10days on top of the Month that they give you to pay to keep it in Pawn, freaking awesome. I bought my Fiancé's ring there and they gave me an amazing deal on it and I've learned to never go to Kay's or Helzberg ever again and pay the 300% mark up ever again. Also I bought my father-in-law a Shotgun from there for Christmas and super glad that I did. The deal they gave me I couldn't pass up and I was an instant hit w/my new dad. My husband and I lost our jobs due to our employers shutting down. Life got tough as we applied for hundreds of jobs with no success. We took his high end Mountain Bike to Acme. They were very kind and considerate people and gave us the loan that we needed at a low interest rate. After we lost our home, they worked with us and did not immediately possess the bike when we could not pay the interest exactly on time. They treated us like family members. I never knew that such business people existed in a world that seems cold and uncaring at times. When we got another place to live, there was no garage so we have left the bike in storage at Acme, paying the low monthly interest as a storage where we know that the bike is safe. When browsing their items for sale, their prices are very reasonable and I have recommended their business to countless people who are looking for tools, bicycles, electronics, guns, etc. The employees are very warm and the owner is a fantastic person. CONSUMER ALERT I do not recommend doing any business with Jim at this shop. I have recently quit because of unethical issues to be more blunt I took a stand against another employee that was making racial offensive comments. I demanded Jim the owner and my boss take action against this behavior Jim told me he would suspend this employee for 90 days with out pay. Needless to say Jim did not, when confronted about not enforcing the suspension the only reply I could get was " He makes me thousands of dollars" This is unacceptable from a boss/owner to condone and accept this offensive racial behavior. I am now contacting a number of federal agency's and filing complaints for unethical and unfair practices as well as criminal acts dealing with pulling items in pawn before due dates and with motor vehicle titles in hopes it will lead to a investigation of this company. read more

I moved to Colorado Springs three years ago and from time to time I have run short of cash. I have triedd several (3) different pawn shops during that time and found Acme to be the consistently best in meeting and most often exceeding what I expect in pawn shop services in both loans and purchases. I have went to Acme 7 different times for loans. The staff is always friendly and willing to work with me to get the most for an item I pawn for a loan. They have worked with me when I have missed due dates and in several cases given me a lower interest rate during the length of the loan. I have purchased tools from Acme where I not only got a great price, but also Acme has given me additional discounts (20%) off the sale price. Acme is an excellant place to do business. I don't usually shop or pawn at this location because i'm a creature of habit and I know everyone so well at the other locations, but I'm so glad I stopped in. This place is HUGE! I thought a couple employees left from the other stores, and turns out they work over there! People, these are long, long time employees that are so friendly. I ended up putting a big screen on layaway for christmas. It was brand new in the box. I will be back, and not to just make my layaway payment. read more
