You used to be able to drop these off at Best Buy for free, but apparently a few years ago they decided to start charging $29.95 per piece. Yikes. $60 to "donate" a couple of old PCs. Wth?? That's when I finally started doing some searches and found this place! Check out their website for specifics as far what they accept and what they don't accept. It's pretty straightforward. There are a few items that do have a charge but its only a few items and everything is clearly laid out. I called to confirm because that felt a little "too good to be true" lol The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful and basically told me I could drop it off between sometime during normal business hours and you can even arrange to drop off on Saturday (by appointment). Anyways, I threw the monitors in the car and drove down to the place. I just pulled near the end of the dock and was greeted by who I assume was the guy I spoke to on the phone. This guy helped me unload the 2 PCs and was very nice and friendly. He explained that they drill holes through the hard drive and all that and that they don't refurb the drives at all. Sounds good to me! After all of those years of holding on to those things and Nevada State Recycle made it all too easy! 5 stars experience all the way.

There are two dumpsters, which are emptied regularly, twice a week. But on the Garbage Pickup, the second dumpster in the back, has been collecting more and more garbage, but the one who services it, is only collecting the trash from the front dumpster. The second dumpster, in the back, I think that the top portion of garbage bags is being collected. It's been like this for months. Meanwhile, there are flies and other pests. It is disgusting. This is ridiculous. I've contacted the Management Company who is reaching out to your Company.

Dropped it off, got $5 and some little trinkets and candy. Ladies at the window were friendly and the guys working in the yard were working hard. Would recommend. Note: they don't take cardboard.

This is going to be a somewhat shorter review than I normally leave on here, the reason being is…read moreit's a pretty straightforward business model. This is one of only a handful of places in Las Vegas that will take in aluminum cans for recycling. They do pay for the aluminum based on the weight however, it is minimal at best, the real benefit of going here is to be able to drop off aluminum cans for recycling when you don't have it available through your local community or trash service. The staff here are helpful, everybody is very nice and the process is very efficient and quick. As far as aluminum cans go you drive in unload them onto a dolly they get weighed and you get a receipt and you get paid. The process is pretty quick and easy, get in and get out is the way it should be. The company does specialize in recycling and purchase of non-Ferris scrap metal and other recyclable items. Often times when you drive in you will see contractors and other construction personnel, unloading truck loads of waste metal into bins for recycling. The few people that I have spoken to while there say that their pricing is very competitive for the service. As I am not in the construction industry not am I a contractor or a DIY guy this is not a service that I utilize, but it is available. All in all the processes, quick, easy and painless, which is all I could ask or expect of a recycling center. Easy to find and somewhat centrally located.

Whatever.. so I call for missed pickup and ask for retrieval... they said okay... 6pm comes and goes.. nothing. So I call next day. They said it will get picked up first thing next morning.. okay.. Thursday comes and goes... NOTHING. I call again. "Sorry it was missed we understand. Blah blah blah". Someone will come get it.. it's now Friday. 4 days of LIES. I call. Missed pickup. Explain the situation and state.... I just want the trash picked up... I don't care what happened. Just please come get it... LIE after LIE. Promising me they will call and come get it.. here it is. 3:40pm... crickets. Republic Services being the monopoly here in Vegas makes it impossible to feel valued when it's forced. Let me back up. I had called to make sure Western Elite was a transfer station ( I am new to the area). The lady was very helpful and asked where I was and she helped me locate the closes one to me. She also gave me the price per ton at each location. I was surprised by how helpful they were. The dump/transfer station is easy to drive to and dump whatever you are hauling. You throw your waste on the ground and it is great for dump trailers. Some transfer stations have you through your trash in the actual trailer which is a pain due to having to throw the garbage or waste over rails.

They continue to forget to pick up recycling or bulk, they leave broken glass and don't clean it…read moreup. When you call to have them come clean it up, they don't come out. They broke an entire glass patio table and just left the pile of broken glass in the center of our cul-de-sac for little kids to fall injure themselves on or dogs to cut their paws on. This week they broke glass that was in our recycling bin This is the third time that they have broken something and left it. I called and even told them that a little boy had cut their knee on it and they still didn't send anybody. It has been four days and four phone calls, and nothing has been done. I've also seen broken glass throughout my neighborhood around the bins after they have picked them up. Also, I don't even think their call center is in America, I had two representatives who I could barely understand who just kept repeating the same generic phrases over and over, regardless of what I said, as if they couldn't understand me. I've called four times they still haven't come to clean the glass. They get paid so much money and do so little.
