Luckily it turned out that the cause of my leak wasn't a leaking roof but actually caused by a build up of leaves and tree debris causing water to be backlogged and forced up under my shingles. They informed me of this and saved me from having to do anything besides jumping on my roof and clearing it all away. After a few hours of clearing everything, it was good as new and now I know not to allow this debris to sit on my roof during rainy season. Additional hourly/material rates for extra repairs listed so we had no surprises. No high pressure sales tactics. Very tidy Cleaned up at the end of each day with a magnet and blower so our dog could go into the back yard. Only opened up the section of roof that could be worked on that day, then made sure that the membrane covered the roof so the rain could not get in. Repaired multiple issues with our roof, plus added flashing which the previous roofers had skipped. Kept us informed of the running total (we had a multiple building project.) When a gutter was damaged by the delivery truck, Gruwell took charge and hired a gutter repair/replacement company at their own expense. Removed every last speck of debris. Highly recommend these folks.

Unfortunately, both porches started sinking shortly after construction. I expected the porches to be stable for decades of time. Instead, over the first 5 years the front porch sank by at least 2.5 inches, endangering the roof over the porch. Gooden-Harrison refused to correct the problem I had to use TerraFirma to raise the front porch to its proper position with their Polylevel method. During this process I found out that Gooden-Harrison neglected to provide any foundation under the porch. They refused to compensate me for the fixing of the problem even after I pointed out this defect. I cannot recommend a firm that does not stand behind its work.

There were some speedbumps here and there and some timelines proved hard to keep but when it came down to it, they were very communicative and honest. Something that stuck out to me was when their sub-contractors came in at a lower cost (excavation and electrical) than expected on certain parts of the project they let me know about it rather than just pocket the difference like you see with a lot of other contractors out there. While on the topic of money they also called out items that I could do myself to help save some additional money. Ryan who acted as our primary contact and project manager was always cool, calm and collected and always knew what the next step was when dealing with the county and other related entities. Gooden and Harrisons Crew was always personable and easy to talk to. JR especially acted with great care when he was on site and always made sure to talk to my Wife and I if we were onsite to make sure we were all on the same page about what we wanted to see in regard to how stuff was finished and executed. This is a great crew, and I look forward to working with them again on future projects as they will without hesitation be my first call when I have construction needs come up

Kept me updated during the interim on the schedule with emails and texts when the work started. They had impressive equipment to do the job and deal with the demolition, and are highly organized systematic. Because what they're doing now seemed optimal in every way.
