Contractors of any sort are a mixed bag - we all know this. Unfortunately, as a home owner, I've had experiences ranging from the best to the worst over 25 years. These guys are solidly in the best category. As in most house projects, we have a bunch, but I prioritized with our master bedroom: we had a run of the mill ceiling fan, and wanted to upgrade it and get better lighting. I communicated with Rachel for a couple of weeks, answering all of my questions and setting an easy appointment time. She confirmed the day before, and Jared and Sam showed up on time (seriously, to the minute) the next morning. They installed recessed lighting in our bedroom ceiling, a new ceiling fan, and were done before I knew it. They cleaned up (possibly more thoroughly than our bedroom had been before they started tbh), and even gave me an opinion (only after I asked) on another project I have been eyeing. I had Top Line Electric replace two hardwired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, broken GFI outlet, broken 4 way light switch and replace a dining room light fixture and ceiling fan w/light, both on vaulted ceilings and the fan over a staircase as well! Scott arrived on time and quickly got to work. His work is very neat and professional. He completed all the work in much less time than I anticipated and even had to do an on the fly modification when it was discovered the glass globe for the ceiling fan I ordered online was sent to me broken. He waiting while I made a quick trip to Home Depot to buy a replacement globe and modified the installation to make it work and look great to boot! The outlet in the living room he been not working for over a month where the tv is plugged in. My boyfriend kept insisting he was going to try and fix it and kept failing. Called for service on a Tuesday. Said they'd be out on Friday morning. Weren't there by noon. Called to see what was up. Said they were swamped but would be out by the end of the day and would call when they were on their way. Never called. Never showed up. Didn't call the next week either so I didn't try to contact them again and found a different electrician. read more
