I had always believed I had little-to-no physical prowess. Words like, "weakling," "delicate," and "lazy" all come to mind. In the past, group exercise classes like yoga and bodypump held my interest briefly, but that interest would wane within a month. I joined Top Line at the urging of a friend, and within two weeks my attitudes toward myself and my abilities changed dramatically. This isn't a fancy gym. There is no upscale locker room, no juice bar, no supplements station, no tanning beds. It's a former warehouse with hardcore equipment, and it's given me the greatest workout of my life. Within a month of joining, I started seeing muscle definition. Soon after, my clothing sizes began to drop (I went from a snug ladies' 12 to a loose 6 within a few months). Before joining Topline Gym, I was already working out regularly, but wasn't really seeing too many results. I mainly wanted to improve my strength as well as conditioning, which was something I knew wasn't going to happen on my own. I am an instructor at Roufusport MMA Academy and have a black belt In BJJ. Through the years of competing in BJJ and MMA I have done many types of workouts, been involved in many kinds of workout plans, and have had other trainers, but nothing compares to Topline Gym. After my first week, I knew I was in the right place. One thing I noticed was how each member was just as important as the next. The room is filled with all different types of athletes doing different workouts with different goals. Coach Brett Summers is able to accommodate everybody. I also like how serious he is. Don't be late, be on time, and work hard. Being a coach myself, I can respect and understand that 100%. Another thing I liked was how coach tested me before I began an actual program. I did a lot of conditioning drills and exercises which helped get my body ready and to see where I was at physically and mentally. After the first couple weeks, I was able to find out my PR for each of the lifts necessary for my program. Once this was done, I was given an actual program to follow, which was something that I never really had. All the programs and working out prior were sort of random and I never knew what gains I was making. When I follow the program, I can clearly see gains and improvements since everything is recorded. There is no guessing about what weight I had lifted the previous week and it also allows me to challenge myself. I always look at the previous weeks rep record and try to at least match that with a heavier weight if not surpass it. I have been Topline Gym member since May of 2013 and have been going consistently since then. Your hard work will not go unnoticed by Coach Brett. Since I had been doing the same program consistently for a while, making noticeable gains, I was given the opportunity to move on to a completely different program to improve even more. "I'm afraid I'm going to die". That is the reason I gave my coach at Top Line Gym for joining. With my family history of heart disease, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and my extra weight I was well on my way. At 5'2 and a size 18, or 36 inch, pant, I was bigger than I ever imagined I would be. The weight piled on through years of school, the death of a baby, the birth of another baby that included 6 months of total bed rest, and being full time professional and busy mom. It was my time. I used to be a super active person, competitive gymnast and overall fitter person. I knew when I was beginning my fitness journey that I would not do well in a box gym filled with treadmills and weights. I needed a coach and a group of people who were going to accept me, support me, and be as badass as me. I needed to commit to the time and the financial investment because I was worth it, and being held to my purchase was part of what I needed to make my goal of fitness become a reality. I joined in April 2013 and I have lost 25 lbs of fat, gained a ton of muscle, and gone from a size 18, 36 inch pants to a size 10, and I just bought a new pair of Rock Revival size 29 jeans. I m working towards my Class A Skydiving license and hope to be certified next summer. I'm able to throw a lot of gymnastics tumbling passes again, and I'm setting a great example for my daughter. For me, fit is not about numbers or mirrors but how confident you feel in your own skin. I started at Top Line at the beginning of the summer and couldn't be happier with the experience. Every workout is fun, but extremely hardcore, and it gets you working to your max. I started at Top Line Gym last May after years of frustration, still keeping hope alive that I could achieve what I was looking for. I've been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing around 5 years now. What was once a hobby, and a fun way to stay in shape slowly turned in a career, competing, and a fighter lifestyle. That being said, I knew the next step was actually fighting in Mixed Martial Arts, a subject I had been skirting around for a couple years. But something just didn't feel complete with my training. Before Top Line Gym, I had ran through so many personal training sessions, tried everything from working out on my own to extreme dieting, to hot yoga, bands, tons of bull$*%!. Only to start from square one over and over again. My personal training sessions, I was underestimated, or overcharged with zero results. There didn't seem to be anything personal about it. Working out on my own? Again, after hours of already being in the gym each day going over strategies, pushing my limits mentally and physically..yeah, no. I needed more. Luckliy, I found out about Top Line and went with my teammates to give it a try. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially having been burned so many times, but the gym blew me away. The results were NOT overnight, but you can tell when you've found something good. I knew that if I showed up every day, did exactly what my coach asked for, and worked my hardest I would get to where I want to be. My other coaches and teammates started noticing before I did..I was seeing results. Definition in my arms, stronger when I was grappling and training, toning up and thinning out. I was ecstatic. And then $*it got real, I was asked to fight my first amateur MMA fight on September 28th. I talked to my coach and we worked out a healthy diet plan and intelligent training schedule to get me from 140 lbs to 125 lbs in 6 weeks. Needless to say, I won my fight at 125 lbs in 1:11 seconds. But there was more to it, my coach BELIEVED in me, and pushed me when I needed to be pushed, was there every step of the way. Good day or bad day, I know this guy always has my back. That feeling is irreplaceable, you can't put a price on it. Best feeling in the world was walking out of the cage that night and seeing all my fellow Top Line members and my coach in the crowd. Hands down, Top Line Gym has been the best gym to help me change my physical health and fitness. I started off working out at a couple of big chain gyms, and had moderate success on my own. After plateauing on my own, I paid $40 per 45 minute session for personal training at the big box gym This was helpful on some level, but was expensive, repetitive and certainly not as individualized as I thought it would be. I also went through 3 personal trainers in 12 weeks. The turnover was tremendous. When my training sessions were used up, I decided to look for different options, and a different type of gym. *LUCKILY* Top Line Gym was the first one I found. Per recommendation of a friend (who has had great success losing weight and gaining strength at Top Line) I signed up in June 2013. Don't get me wrong, Top Line is more expensive than the $10/month membership you'll pay at big gyms. HOWEVER, when I crunched the numbers, it is MUCH more affordable than the $40/session for "personal training" I was paying. There are also some huge perks to the small group and/or individualized coaching you will receive at Top Line (depending on which plan you sign up for). Additionally, you WILL find results here. So, realistically, it's worth the investment. Some key take-away points: 1) You will get a CHALLENGING and REWARDING work out. I've never worked harder, had better variety, learned more, nor seen better results, than I have during my time at Top Line. 2) Coach loves his gym and his Top Line Family. When you join, and you put in work, you become part of the family. He works for you and your goals. He wants to see success in all of us. He is genuine. 3) The other members push you, too. There is comradery and accountability. Instead of just working out 1:1 with a trainer, you will form relationships with the other members. You will see what they are capable of, they will push you to want to be your best you. They will motivate you. 4) Coach also coaches top athletes. So, you will be surrounded by very dedicated people who work hard, and although they may encourage each other, they will not BS, or talk too much, or distract you, or other crap like that. July 2009...A little over 400 lbs...7 months of me working out on my own...Free session with the coaches of Top Line Training? Why not? I had everything to gain and a lot to lose also. I went through the session with the head coach and I knew it's what I needed to get the results I wanted and didn't think were possible on my own. I needed to do this for many reasons, but I was truly doing it for me. I sat down with the coach and we talked things over and what I wanted to accomplish. My goals were unrealistic at the time, because at my weight, all I wanted was to "tone up" and "get abs." I knew it would be a challenge, but I had come this far, and wasn't looking back. So we started off slowly. We started with my first food journal and watching portion sizes, consistent workouts and giving everything that I could. Within the first 1 1/2 month, I was down 45 lbs., and I couldn't believe it. I had never had a coach before so I didn't know if he would be any good, but what he told me, he backed up and then some, a man of his word. With that weight lost, I knew then that I could keep going. 7 months after being with Top Line, I was down almost 90 lbs., and feeling overwhelmed that I could actually do something I've always dreamed about. At this point, my coach and I knew we could shoot for the stars because I was too motivated and determined to ever be 400 lbs again. So fast forward 2 years, and with all the work I had put in and the gym we started at, I was ready to take on Top Line's new home, an amazing warehouse gym (its current location in Glendale, WI) that is like no other in the city. The conditioning, cardio and hard work that was put in on the rubber and turf in that gym, got me down to 206 lbs., a little over 200 lbs. lost since starting with Top Line in 2009. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it was possible to weigh 206, because I'd never known anything different. All the years of being bullied, picked on and made fun of because of my weight was worth it, because with that weigh in, I could tell the haters bye-bye. All of my success up to that point was made possible because of Top Line and the best coach in the business. Signing up that day in July years ago, was the best decision I could've ever have made. It's now December 2013, and 4 years have passed, because Top Line is that good, and I'm that determined to set goals, reach them and never look back. After years of training, conditioning, food journaling, and living a healthy lifestyle, my coach said I was ready to strength train. So for the past two years, there's been a lot of learning, but fun at the same time. Being able to deadlift my current body weight makes me proud because that's how far we've come from walking 2.0 on the treadmill when we first started. Working out in a 6,000 square feet gym with the best of the best equipment, atmosphere and music, drives you and pushes you to leave everything out on the turf during your workout, because if you don't give it all you got, you won't get what you want out of it. And the Top Line members? They're not members; they're family, and the most supportive group of people you can ever train with. Being around people like them is one heck of a support system and there isn't another group like them. I'll be with Top Line until the end because of what they've given me; I want to give to someone else. That's the support and opportunity to change their life for the better. I joined Top Line Gym over the summer when I came home from school. The coaching staff is excellent, positive, knowledgeable, and extremely motivating. The coaching staff always makes sure to give everyone individualized attention. The coaching staff is always correcting form and providing advice on how to improve areas that need improvement. The other members create an outstanding atmosphere in the gym. It is just like a family, everyone supports and pushes each other. Every workout is challenging and push me beyond what I think are my limits and as a result I have noticed changes in my body. I have gained a lot of strength since joining Top Line Gym. I am a college student and the coaching staff worked with me so I would be able to continue my programming while at school (I go to school outside of Wisconsin) so I could continue to achieve the results I want. read more

I had been physically active for many years until an injury brought all that to a halt. My confidence level reached an all time low. Fear of further injury predominated my every thought of returning to any challenging exercise program. A friend had been encouraging me to check out Top Line. I told her I didn't think I could handle it. However, about five months ago I decided to walk in the door at Top Line. I had to see what she was bragging about!
