TO NOT USE THESE GUYS. This company is completely unprofessional. I would give 0 stars if I could. I called originally a couple of days ago and got what appeared to be a child in his early teens answering the call who then said that he would have a technician (Likely his dad???) call me back within an hour. Never got a call even though they advertise they are 24/7. BTW the child is the most professional part of this company. The next day I called again, got the same child and I asked him what happened to the phone call that I was supposed to get. He remembered talking to me and said he would try again to get a technician to call me. One finally did a couple of hours later (Yesterday). He then booked an appointment with me to come out today at 4pm, I then called at 6pm asking where they were and he said that he would call his technician back, basically he shipped the order off to some other owner operator. I then waited another hour and still no call back so I called again. He said that his technician was going to the office to see if they had the parts.... this is TWO DAYS LATER and they're just now checking to see if they have a Key. After another hours I called again asking for an update, technician is still not there. He then calls me back 45 minutes later saying that they don't have a key needed (It's a very generic key fob for my car) and wouldn't have one in for another 2 days!!!!! Meanwhile for work, I'm having to travel around the city with UBER today and tomorrow I'll have to see if I can find a car rental.... all because this guy is a complete LIAR. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. They are completely undependable. Do not listen to his BS "Oh we'll try harder next time" that he leaves reviews. They aren't trying at all. You will be wasting your time. Don't use these guys. It is a few months after I wrote my review Feb 2024. Top Locksmith had forwarded my request to Abel Home Services. This week, I went to find my Orbit irrigation key, which I had hanging on a bolt on the door where the lock was changed in February. Orbit key is gone. I can't find it anywhere. So, what am I to do? Call these guys again to make a key?? YUCK. Thankfully, I found a spare key in parts box for the irrigation system. I also want to add to the original review that I felt creeped out by the fellow that rekeyed the lock. I didn't feel safe. He said he was going to give his daughter the same name as mine. Horrible experience. Please save your self and call another company. The technician came 2.5 hours late and during business hours when he was specifically asked not to. He took the door and left all our staff in the freezing cold for over 4 hours. ( job estimate was not even 2 hours). I tried to get in touch with the manager from 10am and he had the decency to call back after 230pm. He yelled at me, told me I was rude and I was offered a minimal discount compare to what I lost today for their fault. The restaurant was unbearable cols and no one stopped in for lunch. I called them to get a commercial lock looked at because the lock was spinning and not catching all the time. They sent an employee out to service the lock he was here for maybe 5 mins said he changed the pin inside and that it's fixed the bill over $300. It work for a week and started doing the same thing again. Called and told them what happened they said they would come by check it out never came. Months went by lock still not working properly so I called West coast locksmith, they were fast to get here same day replaced the turning mechanism in the lock which was the problem in the first place and charged me $135, not even half of what I paid top locksmith to do nothing. 1 star is only because you have to rate at least 1 star terrible. read more

Excellent service. Came within 20 minutes, and did a thorough and efficient job. I was a bit taken aback by how expensive it was though: $162.75 to remove a broken off piece of key that got stuck in my lock. He ended up having to disassemble the whole thing. I thought he might just have a simple gadget that could go in there through the opening and grasp (or stick onto) the piece and pull it out, but no. I'd tried and failed with a paper clip. So I guess my expectations were too high. Anyway, I would still probably use them again because they are so quick and available 24/7. He *did* warn me about what the cost was going to be before he went to work, and I approved it (at that point what was I going to do?), so they get points for full disclosure. They do accept credit cards but they charge more if you pay that way, so I paid cash. read more

Downgrading to 3-stars. They kept calling me back to push the appointment time and because I had to go to work, asked them if they could come at 5. They then proceeded to call me and push that appointment by 20 minutes, then called again saying they had to get to an emergency. Way too many delays. One or two delays is ok, but 3? And prioritizing someone else? Also, they said that they'd prefer not taking the machine as it wasn't working because of the rain. Never heard that before... Regardless, they were quick when they came and did what was needed. read more

I needed to have my mailbox lock drilled and rekeyed. The locksmith provided prompt and courteous service. However, after a couple of weeks, the lock stopped working. I contacted the locksmith, who kindly agreed to come back and switch out the locks again. Three weeks later, the new lock again stopped working. I again contacted the locksmith, who did not answer my email. There is clearly a problem with the lock he used: either it is defective, incompatible with my mailbox, or installed incorrectly. In any case, the locksmith should have fixed the problem, or, if unable to do so, provided a refund. As it stands, I will have to engage a new locksmith and incur another $100+ fee. read more

Kobe's mobile locksmith is a convenient, accessible and affordable. Definitely one of the more sociable locksmith out there in Vancouver! My door to the basement was jammed tight and the handle was damaged so it kept on spinning. He came in and got it fixed in no time. I live around 12 blocks from their Olympic Village location. My front door handle spindle was damaged and it just spun and spun, and I couldn't open my door. I called their receptionist at 6:20pm and took my info. A locksmith called me back at 6:23, and he arrived at 6:50. Within 10 minutes he was able to open my door. I had to replace the handle myself (I'm guessing he could have installed a new one for an extra charge but I was able to do that myself later). I was surprised he was able to open it with no damage. The charge was $155+tax (I'm guessing for an after-hours call) but I was impressed with his skill and speed. read more

Came within about 25 minutes when I was locked out of apartment (around 9pm). Didn't quote price on the phone, and informed me it would be $180 at the door just for getting me in. Did about 5 minutes of work to get me in and fix my doorknob, but price was outrageous read more
