The owner claimed there were issues in the Raleigh area in early December 2024, and said his workers could not come to work, which caused repeated delays. During installation, the crew--who did not speak English--placed the fence too close to my neighbor's house. When I raised the issue, they refused to move it. They claimed I had instructed them to place it there, which is incorrect, and the owner also refused to correct the placement. About six months after the fence was installed, it started falling apart. There are now large gaps between the doors, and although they said the wood was pressure-treated, it's already buckling. They built a fence for a neighbor's house that blocks the view of oncoming traffic. I called him and explained the issue, and he was completely dismissive, saying that he only works for the customer and it's too bad if the rest of us (over 100 cars per day) can't see around the corner. I had to follow up with the city, who determined that the fence was not built according to the permit. American Heritage still hasn't addressed the issue, but when they do, I'm curious whether they will do so at their own expense or whether they'll charge the neighbors extra to move the fence. Either way, I would never hire this company to build a fence for me.

I stated that I was in Greensboro, and was unaware of the fact that I needed to be home when the installers arrived she absolutely flew off the handle and threatened to "charge me" for wasting her installers time. Weeks later, there has been complete radio silence. No call, no email, no follow up. I even called myself to check on the status and was told someone would get back to me that same day. Nobody ever did. It's honestly surprising how little effort was made to follow through with a potential customer who was ready to move forward ASAP. If you're too busy to take on new work, just say that upfront instead of wasting people's time. Very disappointing experience and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
