A complete waste of time. Someone came out to my property, took measurements, discussed my vision for the fence project, and promised an estimate within 24 to 48 hours. Weeks later, there has been complete radio silence. No call, no email, no follow up. I even called myself to check on the status and was told someone would get back to me that same day. Nobody ever did. It's honestly surprising how little effort was made to follow through with a potential customer who was ready to move forward ASAP. If you're too busy to take on new work, just say that upfront instead of wasting people's time. Very disappointing experience and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Fantastic service, start to finish! I needed a new fence to serve multiple functions. The old fence was ugly, low and falling apart. I needed to keep my tripod cat and chickens in, plus the local fox out. Jeff listened to my wants and needs and quickly provided an estimate for the work. Rain and Covid slowed down the project a bit, but gave me more time to clear my overgrown fence lines. My installation crew was amazing. Ricardo listened carefully and gave great input for execution. Our fence was not done properly on the left side. Seegars sent out a crew to repair, but the repair was not correctly- within a year it was leaning again. When we called back, we were told it was no longer under warranty. The guy who had been my husband's contact at the company had headed up our fence repair- we were told he was no longer with the company due to his poor work ethic. Yet Seegars Raleigh would not stand behind the work and fix it, citing the warranty had passed by the time it started leaning again. My husband was fed up with the run around at the Raleigh office so called the Greensboro location. He initially had a professional conversation with the concerned owner; we were promptly ghosted and as of yet zero resolution. We chose this company because they had been around a long time and we figured they stood behind their work. We were wrong. Sharing this information so others can find a more reputable company when looking for their fence building needs. read more

The guy that gave the estimate (Lake) was awesome. Got the quote and asked about prove matching as we had several other quotes. He didn't respond but when I followed up someone else (Tina) responded pretty rudely that they had already given me a competitive price. Was actually going to use them regardless of the price match, but thanks to her poor customer service I decided against it. read more

Seegars totes themselves as being in business since '49. One would think that they would stand behind their name and product. Unfortunately, I have first hand experience to the contrary. First, if you end up getting Jeff Grey as your contact, stop there and run. He is the equivalent of a used car salesman for fencing. I was pushed 3 consecutive weeks for installation. The worst of it came after installation when there was a problem. Having been in service related fields all of my career, the true sign of someone's and a company's character is if they take responsibility and try to find a solution. This never happened. When they installed the section of fence over my brand new pavers, they never took the time to fully rinse the cement residue off the pavers. As a result a 20x12 section of pavers are fully stained. I called the next day to discuss this, and the fact that I never got the gate i ordered. I never received a call back in 2 days so I was forced to call the office. Again I never received a call back until I, again, contacted the office. Jeff then called and said someone would be out next week to powerwash the pavers and install the correct gate. 1.5 weeks went by and... you guessed it... no call back, no powerwash, & no gate. Beware, if you choose this company I hope that it goes well. If it does not, be prepared to be left blowing in the breeze trying to solve your own problems. Jeff and Seegars lack the backbone to stand behind their work. read more

Absolutely excellent customer service. I called several other companies when researching for adding pup protection to my fence and stopped looking when I spoke with these guys. They were friendly, responsive, offered a very reasonable price and great timing for the job I wanted done. They didn't act like the job was too small and they worked me into their schedule without making me wait forever. This business is a disorganized mess. I had to call them three times just to set up an appointment for an estimate. After they finally called me back, I set an appointment for later that week on a Thursday at 11:00. The people did not call nor show up when the appointment was scheduled. I called them and they claimed the appointment was for the following Thursday. I politely told them that I was cancelling the appointment and will not do business with them. There is no way I would be comfortable working with a company that will not even call me back and then not show up when scheduled. read more
