The new location has "Sedona vibes" with its calming and Sedona desert-like decor. There are eight rooms (4 therapy rooms, 2 aesthetician/ therapy rooms, 2 sauna rooms (male and female) and a quiet room to relax either after or before your treatment. This is a huge upgrade from their old location. Andres and Jose have out done themselves once again. They make sure to target the knots you have in your body or any type of pain you are having. I love how they have a red light sauna. This place is amazing for a whole day of relaxing, you can spend a couple hours here just relaxing. Jose is also really good at facials. He is not only a masseuse but an esthetician. They drape you carefully with a sheet and use lotion. You are in a big room, separated from other clients and masseuses by curtains. So, you can hear other conversations or hear people who fell asleep and are snoring. After your massage, they ask you to fill out a brief survey about your student masseuse. They offer you water and there are clean restrooms. Hours are great as they are open into the evening hours for us working folks. I kept forgetting about it because it was also my card with the certificate printed out on it. They reminded me and I was like okay I'll reach out. We found a perfect time and I made my way over at 10:30 AM on Sunday. The place was easy-ish to spot - studio in the far left with beautiful landscaping and Kai waved me over. We talked for a little bit as I got there a couple of minutes ahead of time. I sat my belongs down and as instructed got undressed to my most comfortable and under the sheet on possibly the best massage table in the world (I'm a bit of a naturist so I just went for it, we're all adults). I'm a big guy and over 6 ft tall so it was nice that I felt so comfortable on his table and he had plenty of room to work with. The vibe is very earthy and being in a residential space the Flowing Energy Bodywork studio has natural light or you can go the candle route. The room temp is perfect and Kai will adjust. Let him know your pressure level, though he will ask as he tends to go deep . Medium was excellent for me as I didn't realized where I carried some of my tension and pressure until Kai got to work. Two hours completely flew by!! My neck and lower back are the most grateful, but so is my entire body. When I flipped over and got the warm towel over my face I was like wow lol in the best way possible... Kai was concerned if the towels were too warm. I was just caught by surprise about how good it felt. The vapors and steam felt so cleansing and the zen sounds in the background really made the entire experience that much greater. You can take breaks as needed, but I didn't require one as i ate very light that morning and didn't have too much water until after. Kai had some amazing tips before and after the massage and is willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very caring person and nothing but a quality professional. I'd definitely recommend and will come to him again. Self-care is super essential after all and it helps to have wonderful people like Kai in the world to help with that ongoing essential process. I felt less congested after from allergy season really doing its thing this year and I slept so well at night!! Soooo grateful for this experience. Q Tip: Don't forget to check-in!
