This is the 3rd time here and never again! First time I went I wasn't very impressed with the services I got compared to what I paid, then tried to do a walk in and they couldn't take me and the last time I made an appointment two days in advance told them I wanted a full set and pedicure. Showed up to my appointment and showed them what I wanted and the nail technician told me only two people can do that and they were too busy and that I should have told them what I wanted when I made my appointment. They don't have time? But I made an appointment! How should have I known that I needed to explain exactly what I wanted done?!? She asked if I had a backup of something else, but after my past experiences here and the way she handled the situation in front of many people sitting around in that moment I decided that the customer service is not up to par and they didn't deserve my money and I left. I went to Galaxy nails and they took me without an appointment, late and did the nails I wanted without hesitation or attitude. I will not recommend top nails to anyone I know and will go to my normal salon that does amazing nails in Rio rancho. read more

When you try to use their online booking, they always refuse the appt... Well, except this last time. I asked for a time that was available on their online booking (morning), and then they texted me saying they didn't have any openings until the end of the day, claiming they were shortstaffed. The other times I booked, they had plenty of employees inside, and I only saw one customer when I drove by heading to the appt I had booked elsewhere. When you can't get in to use their service, guess you can't review them very well, can you? When you use an online booking service, it should match your bookings on the notebook on the front desk. read more

I have been to Top Nail a few times now and won't go anywhere else in Los Alamos! They have done a great job with my manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow wax. Worst gel mani ever. I walked in at 12 for a based gel manicure. I was the only customer and explained that I needed to leave by 1255. "No problem," I was told. At 1245, my old gel had barely been removed and the gal was filing my nails. I explained that I would have to leave and return after my next meeting. I returned at 230. A different woman finished the job. She seemed very annoyed that I had returned. Parra of my nails were left without polish on them and when I ask her to fix them she rolled her eyes. Today, 4 days later, my thumb nail is chilling away and the gel on 4 other nails is lifting. What a waste of time and money. Did I mention that they don't accept cards? Oh yea, and the restroom is out side of the salon, through a different building, and up two flights of stairs. read more

I would like to say I am never driven to write such awful reviews, but this place was bad. Worse customer service ever. The nail salon seems to be owned by a couple. The man did my friends pedicure and was very nice. The woman did my acrylic fill, and was so rude. I am a server I know about customer service, and I know sometimes you have a bad day, but there was no excuse to be that rude. Also I have had acrylics for many years and get them done often. She first asked if I liked long or short. I asked for short. She cut my nails and proceeded. She kept jerking my hands even though I was completely relaxing them. I asked if she could file or cut off the corners which were lifted before she reapply power. She huffed and continued. She then became extremely upset when I told her I thought one of my nails was uneven. She handed me the file and said," I've done this for 30 years but you know better!" Then the bill came, and she charged me because I had my nails cut. I don't know if I've ever been charged for short nails on a re-base! I guess when you are in a small town and have no competition you can get away with being such a royal b**** This was my first visit. But if ever in Los Alamos, NM it's the only place that does acrylics. If you go, ask for the man. He was completely friendly to my friend, and even gave her a card. read more

Just went with my little cousin to get a manicure and pedicure and the experience was completely awful! The woman, as a past reviewer mentioned, is completely rude and does a very haste job. She told my cousin, 'HURRY UP AND PICK YOUR NAIL COLOR ALREADY!!'...twice and she pulled my cousins hand and rudely told her to stop moving. It was not a relaxing, enjoyable or fun experience at all! Wow. Too bad I have to give this place at least one star. I found this salon on Yelp while in town on vacation. It was the first place I went to, as it was close to where I was staying. I walked in, setting off the little door alarm (that sounds like a wolf-whistle), and noticed two ladies waiting in chairs next to the door. No one at the front desk. I waited a minute, then decided to look at the polishes while waiting to be greeted. I looked at polishes for about 5 minutes and realized no one was going to say hello, no one was going to ask me what services I would like to have done, nor was I going to get a service from this salon that day. One, their layout sucks. There were employees working on pedicures at the time, I could semi-see them through the polish racks, but from their low vantage point on the pedicure stools, they can not see you. They obviously could not hear the door alarm over the bubbles in the foot baths. Guess I wouldn't say that this was an experience, and technically, it shouldn't even get one star, but if I can warn anyone away from this place, it's worth it. read more

Went to Top Nails for the first time, started out great, only one there. Had a gel pedicure and got gel nails redone. Called ahead of time for prices. The man did the pedi and nails and the woman helped, she was very rough. My problem is when I went to pay. He quoted me on the phone $39 gel pedi, $28 gel nails. I asked for French nails. The bill he gave me was $91.00!!! I questioned it, he said $40 for pedi & manicure, $15 gel removal each (toes and nails), $15 gel color nails, $15 gel nails, $15 french.... I asked if I went back to have them redone is he going to charge me $15 to take off each, etc..... WTF When I got home my toes were not done correctly, polish did not go all the way to the sides and was over my cuticles... My french nails hands did not match, on the left side the tips were wider...I guess I won't be going back there! Too bad because I felt it was a rip off. I'll make the trip to Santa Fe or Albq instead. read more
