Requested gel polish and deluxe manicure and pedicure. Overall the service was not great. My gel had grown out and they offered to do an acrylic fill which was fine, but I had pointed out a broken nail which I had pointed out and they only put a thin layer of acrylic on top. My cuticles were flooded on both toes and hands and the lady doing my toes filed it so hard it hurt and started to bleed. On my hands the gel chipped one day later. I called and asked to come in to get it fixed, went in, showed the manager who then proceeded to argue with me and told me I was a hard customer and said that giving discounts justified the lack of quality work done. I would not recommend going here and will not be returning. read more

I took my teenage daughter to Galaxy Nails while visiting family in Los Alamos. Her nails had broken while on our trip and the family at Galaxy was able to squeeze us in on the end of a Sunday. Everyone was very nice and my daughter loves her nails. read more

I really enjoy going in to visit with John, Helen, Ashley and Donna. There are also newer personnel there that I don't know their names but really you feel very welcomed here. I have had my pedicures done here numerous times and Donna does a careful and quality job on my acrylics on my hands. I do recommend this salon, they are a little pricier but considering the jobs done and how I don't have to go off the hill, they are worth it! I had been going somewhere else in Santa Fe but my nails would chip and break, Donna's nails have easily lasted 3 weeks plus between fills and that's with heavy use of my hands as a mother of four, dishes, etc. Looking forward to a facial with Helen as I've been there when two clients came out after receiving one and they were quite obviously very pleased with their facials. read more

Worst service I have ever had. They charged me $30 ($37 w/tax & tip) for their regular pedi, which is an upgrade to their classic pedi. The girl who was doing my nails skipped my leg scrub and massage and skipped applying the shiny clear coat polish at the end, which left my toenails dull looking. I didn't think about it or notice until a few hours after I left the salon. They literally ripped me off!! I've been to a lot of nail salons and this one, by far, is the worst. read more

I have only been to John at Galaxy Nails and he is just lovely. I'm super picky about my nails. I want them to be extremely natural. He made them as thin as possible and blended the color beautifully. I don't think I will go to anybody else in the Santa Fe region. It costed $40 for a fill. read more

I would come back for a pedicure, but I got acrylic nails and they look awful. I got a new set of acrylic nails and every one is full of bubbles and I had to point out very obvious flaws in order for them to fix them. For example, an acrylic nail didn't cover my entire nail, there was a chip in my thumb, and several of my nails were crooked. Very nice staff, but will never get my acrylics done there again. read more

First time in for a Pedi... I went without an appointment and they were busy. I had time so when the gentleman kindly asked me to return at 2:00 and gave me an appt, I happily obliged. I returned at 1:55 and they were ready as promised. Water was perfect and they were efficient. Staff very welcoming and even the other clients were cordial. Great job on my nails too! Price reasonable - as expected for a gel pedi. Will def return next time I'm in the area. read more

I've been in here a number of times but the last time I was in I watched the nail tech apply toe nail polish to a customer with nail fungus. I only hope that the polish belonged to the customer. I think I'd bring my own polish next time. read more

Most charming nail salon! Visiting my son and helping him move into his new home. Have wreaked havoc on my nails!! In desperate need of a mani/pedi I gave them a call based on a google review. So THRILLED and HAPPY I took a chance! I was charmed from the moment I booked my appointment until the end. Everyone was attentive, helpful and incredibly friendly. Made this out-of-town Lady feel right at home! The shop is impeccably clean and it's obvious they all enjoy working with each other and taking care of the customer is first priority. Every time I come to town to visit my son I will be sure to treat myself to a visit to this gem of a salon. I am not giving Galaxy Nails one star because of their service but because of the dishonesty when charging. The cost of a pedicure is already sky high and they tell you how much but when they charge you at the register they provide you with the bill and a tip included already. So unbeknownst to me you end up adding another tip to an already very expensive pedicure. I guess they are just not interested in repeat customers. I can easily go somewhere else for much cheaper and the same if not even better quality. read more

I was a walk in and received services as if I was the owners best friend. I had a mani pedi and my finger nails were done with a gel polish. This was THE best manicure I've ever had. Perfectly done NO flaws or bubbles. It's been over three weeks and they still look great. The pedicure was so relaxing. Everyone there was in a positive and uplifting mood. My wife's finger nail's got fungus from bad products and service. Lost half fingernail on six fingers. Now dealing with the skin cracking and pain due to half a finger nail. I do not recommend this place. There is a reason they wear face masks and don't apply these products on themselves! read more
