I actually called the place and they set me up an appt right away. I had my pedicure done by iEnvy, she is very great in what she's doing. She offered me a deluxe pedicure that has 20min feet and leg massage, scrubs and etc. I had my toes in a classic white polish. My nails were done by (I forgot her name) but she was pretty good too. She did this fast and nice! My nails were naturally medium length already so she just applied the acrylic on top of my natural nails. I don't prefer fake nails either unless my nails are short. I let her see an inspo which is not that complicated since this is a simple french tip. They like it if you're proactive of what you want and show them pics so they know you will leave the shop happy after they do their magic. I was happy with the results. I love them all there!

So, I read several fellow yelper reviews and found one that great reviews and thought I'd give it a whirl. My feet were in need of some TLC. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was super friendly. Anh was my tech and I order a deluxe pedicure and simple mani to pamper myself. The spa was super clean, bright, and had plenty of pedi chairs. My feet feel and look so much better! I immediately pull up Vennesse Spa to bookmark on Yelp, and literally almost choke and die on the hardest gasp I've ever gasped! Honest thoughts: Holy Crap! A 1.5 rating (at the time)??? OH NO -- they must be giving people nail funguses and burying them in the back! That's NOT the place for me! (I literally said this to the girl who recommended it, and she (a stranger) said, "Trust me and ask for Vivian!" Well, in the spirit of "fool me once..." I called ahead and set up an appointment with Vivian, who just-so happened to answer the phone, and prayed for the best! I walked in bracing myself and left skipping with glee! Vivian was a sweetheart from start to finish, she took great care of me, offered me a drink, she's quiet and focused while she works (I like that), slayed my nails (I love her paint and file job), and helped me sign up for Perka Points (their loyalty app to earn points for $ off of a future visit)! Thankfully, my first visit to Vennesse was a WIN! Onto visit #2: I've been traveling, so a lot of time has passed since my first visit to Vennesse. I called back for Vivian and was told that she's on vacation until next week. (God why?) At this point, my nails are horrendous and I can't wait another day. Although I did remember the 1.5 Yelp rating that totally freaked me out before my first visit, I trusted God to have my back (he always does) and asked the "nice girl" (Kathy) who answered the phone to book me. Shortly after starting my service, Kathy shared that she's Vivian's younger sister. I felt better immediately and rightfully so as Kathy's great also! She's very focused and quiet while working (similar to Vivian but almost OCD and I love it)! This point is important to mention as during both visits, I noticed that the staff here is quite chatty amongst themselves. This doesn't bother me at all, but I do prefer that MY service renderer not be distracted while wielding the drill. Kathy (like Vivian) was definitely locked in, but also had the perfect balance of conversation and local food suggestions to throw out-- got a few new bookmarks off of her today! Well yet again, Vennesse didn't fail me. I'm reporting back to say that it wasn't a fluke-- I'm 2 for 2 and I like it!

I love their organization of colors, they are grouped by color vs just being thrown all together. They also have special books for the SNS that matches Gel for the full mani/pedi experience. There was a little bit of a wait when I stopped in on Saturday morning, but I didn't mind. You can call ahead and make an appointment (can't do that at my usual place either) if you are wanting to get in and out. The girl that was working with me today was fast but paid close attention to making sure she filed my nails to match each other with length and shape which I can really appreciate. As for the actual service, I liked the pedicure. I got the Wellness Pedicure, which included a foot bath, foot scrub, paraffin wax, and a foot massage. The nail technician did an excellent job as I was relaxed during the entire time. For the manicure, I got white gel squoval nails. The nail technician was able to get my nails to the straight and pristine squoval shape with my natural nails, despite my nails being short to begin with. The service was fast and efficient. Plus, the nail technician even cleaned up stray and bleeding paint lines. Overall, I liked every part of my experience at Vivian's Nails except for the waiting.

Lisa has an adorable boutique in AB. She's been in the nail industry for 20 plus years so she knows her stuff. It's more than knowing nail art, she knows how to get your nails healthy and keep them there! Recently she started making her own body scrubs, bath bombs etc. THEY ARE AMAZING!!
