They trailered my car to their facility, provided updates when I asked, and brought the car back a day early. Now, I am very particular about my car and every little detail, and I can say that their customer service was outstanding any time I needed a slight adjustment. I will definitely be sending my car back this spring for more wrap work. There is nobody I trust more to work on my car than Karisa and Dash.

I was seen probably 25 minutes after my appointment time and the window tint is not nearly as dark as I would want it. Overall, not the happiest with how they turned out but it's not bad I guess. I also asked to use the restroom which is a shared restroom with the other shops down a dirty hallway and upon entering the bathroom, there were no paper towels or toilet paper so I didn't even use it. It didn't look like it had been cleaned in quite a while.

(02/16/23) (I had just bought this car on 02/13/23. One owner 30k mile car.) I had talked with Cole over the phone a couple times and was told $250.00 to tint my car. When I got there we looked at the different tints available and I picked out the ceramic tint at a slightly higher cost. I was told 400 for a ceramic tint on all windows but front windshield. Well almost 2 hours into tinting my car Cole came out and said it was going to be a extra 100 because the car had been tinted before. He went on about how dealers often remove tint before selling cars. (I have since contacted the dealer and have been told this car was never tinted and they never removed any.) So with my car help hostage and now he wont let me change back to the 250 tint I am stuck paying 500.00. Well when I got the car back I was now late for a appointment because it took another hour to get done. Shortly after I left I noticed some parts to my car in the back seat and upon looking closely at the tint there seemed to be many flaws. I then called Cole and asked about the parts not put back on and the flaws. He asked me to come right back so he could take care of the issues. When I got back he looked at the car and told me that it was to industry stranded and he would quickly put it back together and removed what he said was glue from one window. That night I took a very close look at my car. the way he gave it back was just unacceptable. It took me over 3 hours to clean all the streaks and foot prints out of my car. There are flaws with EVERY window. When trying to talk with Cole about this I had called them cuts in the tint. I guess there are called creases. (Don't get the wrong or he will threaten to sue you for slander) He did offer to redo only 2 windows saying once again that it's to industry standard. I have asked for a refund from him multiple times now and he just refuses. It is going to cost over 500 now to have this all removed and redone and another establishment. I will also be talking to the MN Attorney General about the good faith estimate and the 100 charge while my car was held hostage. I have filled a BBB complaint and will be fillings them everywhere I can and post this review every where I can. I will also update it.

I went to Tint World first, and they quoted me $992 "after discounts" for the same package I got here at Sun Control for a much better price. That alone made me feel good about my decision, but the experience sealed the deal. This isn't my first time coming here--on my last car, I got their entry-level tint, which was decent for adding some privacy. But this time, I went with XPEL XR Prime Plus, and the difference is insane. If you've looked into XPEL, you already know it's top-tier and comes with great benefits, but what really stood out was the team at Sun Control. They're super easy to work with, clearly focused on making sure you're happy, and they had my whole car done in about 3 hours, including the front and back windshields. What really impressed me was their attention to detail. My car has a third brake light that's inside the rear windshield. Without me even asking, they hand-cut the tint, and it looks perfect--like it came from the factory that way. No rough edges, no misalignment, just clean and precise work, leaving the light bright and visible. That level of care isn't something you get everywhere, and it makes a huge difference. I can see other shops disregarding something like this; and I wouldn't even have noticed. Progressive Insurance sent me here for a hail damage inspection…read more When I initially arrived the employee who was just opening up the shop seemed surprised to see me. He said the Progressive hadn't notified him that I would be coming. Even with that set back things got set in motion pretty quickly. He reached out to the technician who would be doing my inspection. The technician happened to be running late, but upon his arrival he wrapped up the inspection very quickly. Progressive had me block out an 8am-9am time slot on my calendar and I was out of there by 8:45am! The technician was super friendly. He chatted with me for about 10 minutes after he completed the inspection. He walked me through what points caused him to achieve his end results, and also gave me some advice on auto body issues unrelated to the incident. I was going to be giving this place a two or three star review due to how the experience started, but the efficiency and friendliness of the technician really turned the whole scenario around!
