Kiel's Tree Care returned my phone call promptly and most importantly showed up at our estimate appointment 10 mins early. Kiel was very patient and very knowledge with all the trees on my property. He asked me what I would like to do with my trees and then provide/discuss his plan with me. Before the schedule work day, Kiel's office called and notified me because of the work load, Kiel might not be able to finish everything in one day, but will continue on 2nd day. I didn't mind at all, but it was nice to have a heads up. Job was done on time in one day and with my 100% satisfaction. I would give Kiel's Tree Care 10 stars if I can. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. We were very disappointed in the way we were treated by this company. They were referred to us by a…read morevery reputable company, and so we felt we were in good hands. We were mistaken. We had a very large spruce tree that had died located near the curb and close to PSEG electrical wires. We called La May for an estimate to remove the tree, cart away the debris, and grind the stump. We were given an estimate. We discussed with LaMay the possibility of PSEG cutting the tree to below the wire line, and LaMay completing the job. Well, PSEG did come, spent two hours cutting the tree below the power line and left the debris on our lawn and that of our neighbor. I notified LaMay that PSEG had cut the tree and left the debris and requested they come to complete the job - cut the trunk of the tree, cart the debris, and grind the stump. I was assured that the original estimate would be modified because PSEG did a big part of the job. Well, it wasn't! LaMay did not like the way PSEG left the debris! They were hoping to sell part of our tree as a telephone pole and now they couldn't! They claimed they sent me a new estimate, which I never received. LaMay did come and competently removed the debris and cut the remainder of the tree trunk. BUT they wanted us to pay the original estimate even though 1/3 of the job was completed by PSEG. After arguing with La May repeatedly, we reluctantly agreed on a price. Rather than accept 2/3 of the original estimate, they wanted more. Will never do business with this company again.
