I walked in and asked to speak with John, only to have the front desk clerk tell me that he had already left for the day. Less than a minute later, I saw John walk to the front of the store, and that same clerk who had just told me John was gone casually said goodbye to him and they all laughed. It was clear that I was lied to, and unfortunately, I can't help but feel that it was because of the color of my skin. No one should have to experience this kind of discrimination--especially in a place that claims to be a 'Judgment Free Zone.' This is unacceptable, and I hope Planet Fitness takes action to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
