He dropped off the chair two weeks later and installed the table leg. The chair arm was fixed where it had split but the detached portion is still detached. The table leg was still damaged and warped. He was going to leave it as-is, but ended up taking it back. Two weeks later I hadn't gotten responses to my emails and we had family arriving so I crafted my own table leg. He came the next day, suddenly, and installed it. The furniture looks great now, but expect work to take a lot longer than estimated.

Steve recently did some extensive cosmetic upgrades for me including trimwork on…read morewalls/columns/ceiling, crown moulding, chair railings, painting, and light fixtures. Steve's services are very reasonably priced, and his work is very high quality. He gave me an estimate for labor and stuck to it despite the project involving quite a bit more work than expected. The only additions to the initial estimate were for changes I made during the project. Any supplies he had to buy were passed on to me at the same cost he paid. (One other estimate I received had a 40% mark-up on materials purchased!) A spreadsheet and all receipts were provided with the final bill and were no surprise charges! My project included a lot of sanding and dust and Steve worked hard to keep it all contained within the work area and always cleaned up every day before leaving. He also did a great job of communicating with me on a daily basis about progress and was very receptive to my feedback throughout the project. The end result was EXACLTY what I wanted! I HIGHLY recommend Steve and I will be using him again for future projects.

Construction, owned by on Beecham, for our project of remodeling two bathrooms…read moreafter finding him on Angie's List and getting a positive response from the reference he gave us. We hired him because he told us that he always did things right and because he charges just for hours of work and did not add a contractor's fee. He also told us he would be on site every day. Only the amount charged turned out to be true. The guest bathroom was finished fairly quickly. When Jon was finished in the primary bathroom, we were excited that this project was almost done. This turned out to not be the case. Jon had to fix the drywall and re-texture the walls due to inferior work. This did not play out very well and delayed our being done with the primary bathroom by a couple weeks. When we finally thought we were done, we discovered that Jon had cut corners, done substandard work and that he had not spent the time to get it done right. The work he did was sloppy and hurried and caused a lot of rework and extra cleaning up. Definitely work not to the standards Jon had promised us. Additionally, he or his helper cracked the vanity top in the primary bathroom which meant we had to replace the vanity top, backsplash and sinks. The replacement vanity top is much inferior to the original but was all we could afford. A plumber had to be hired to unhook the plumbing so the damaged vanity top could be removed and then re-hookup the plumbing after the new vanity was installed. Replacement of the vanity top increased the cost of the project 25%!. Looking back, we realized that Jon spent more than twice the time in the smaller guest bathroom than in the primary bathroom which is a much larger space. He cut corners so he could finish on time. And the last week he was gone most of that time, leaving his inexperienced helper to finish the work. We would never hire him again and we would never recommend hiring Jon Beechan of Jon B. Construction to anyone.

Also, several siding boards replaced, window calking done, and new shower drain installed. We are thrilled with his execution of the stairs which look very artistic and fit in with the setting. We would rehire him instantly. We actually had him do a deck and front door canopy in 2016 which everyone continues to admire. A fabulous contractor !!!!
