He's an old hippie who lived and worked as a teacher in California most of his life and then ended up moving to New Hope and buying a place for a song which he fixed up. He lives over the shop which helps keep his overhead down in a town where rent can be a killer and really drive up the price of the merchandise. Joel has a wild mix of old and new. He's got a full array of vintage mugs from different time periods, along with many awesome selections of hand made, one of a kind pottery mugs and bowls. He also has other interesting kitchen kitsch and a hodgepodge of artsy brickabrack and art. Very cool place. Recommended.

First: inventory. A wide and broadly appealing selection of cards and little gifts can be found here for nearly every occasion. What I love most is I can find plenty of cards that aren't drowned in glitter, which I hate. Second: customer service. The owner and her staff are so kind and welcoming. Good customer service seems to be a dying art in the world today, but Angel's has plenty to offer. I always feel appreciated as a customer when I shop here. Finally: parking. I purchased a print from Carl on August 28 to be shipped to me in Colorado (I prepaid everything). When I didn't receive it 2 weeks later I called and he told me he'd had covid for 2 weeks (meaning he was probably sick when we were in the gallery). Thank god his doctor(???!!!) gave him Ivermectin and he was better. Still didn't have the print last week - called back and he said he'd had a relapse but he'd send the print and forward the tracking number. NO tracking number as of 10/14. He says it's on the way. So sorry I ever went in to this place!!
