She said that we should take a look at Ollie's. It's a discount shopping experience. There are all kinds of overstocked merchandise such as books, clothing, personal care items, pet supplies, gardening tools, snacks, beverages, greeting cards, children's toys, kitchen appliances, towels, linens, home decor items, etc. I found silicone gloves for cooking/baking, a shower caddy for my God daughter's bathroom, and gardening gloves for the beach clean up this weekend! Great deals! At checkout, the efficient cashier asked if I wanted to join the Loyalty Program - Ollie's Army. Sure! I'm looking forward to returning and getting more bargains in the future!

The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. There wasn't much I found to get, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.

My daughter has been a fan of the Oceanfront store for a few years primarily due to their selection of OnU necklaces which are very hot with not only young ladies but adult women as well. We have purchased a few of them and enjoyed browsing the store. The location off Laskin is one block from the Oceanfront and Atlantic Ave. Parking in their rear lot is FREE and the store can be accessed by a rear entrance. Parking in front is by meter. The store's walk up in front and back has been clean and neat. The business is situated on a short strip with a couple other businesses. I love the 60's retro feel of the building. Lemon carries home decor, ladies beach fashion, books and lots of unique items that you can't easily find else where. They are well known for a fantastic selection of costume jewelry. The store may be smallish, but it's packed with goodies. The feel is fresh, bright and service immediately welcoming. On every occasion there has been one of the two-three ladies ask if they can assist with no pressure to purchase. Yesterday while visiting my daughter wanted to purchase a OnU necklace. The inventory was depleted as a shipment is due in soon. Chic instructed us to follow their Instagram page which would announce the arrival of the shipment. My daughter happen to be wearing her OnU necklace and had a stubborn knot in it. Chic offered to work on it while we got lunch. Upon returning an hour later the knot was out to a happy young lady. It's a one-stop shop if you're looking to support a local business and purchase some beach-themed gifts near the oceanfront. They also had some great sales going on -- 60% off all fall merch plus 25% off holiday items. I purchased an adorable sea green nutcracker holding a starfish and gift bags. The shop is full of amazing home decor, lighting and accessories - we kept finding more beautiful items as we shopped. A fun bonus was meeting the owners' golden retriever while we shopped - so beautiful!! Can't wait to visit the shop again - we're here for just a couple more days but will have to go back before we head home!
