Okay first off, the countless images of "Ollie" hanging everywhere creep me out. Now that that's out of the way, allow me to begin my review. The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. There wasn't much I found to get, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best. read more

The prices are great, and the products they have are surprisingly very good!! Here is my issue: this store is incredibly understaffed. With only one cashier on a Saturday, the checkout line wrapped the interior of a very busy store. It took almost an hour for me just to checkout. Additionally the one cashier was a very old woman who moved soooooo slowly (not her fault), so that's why it took so long - the wait for checkout was so long, several people gave up and went to the nearby Dollar Tree. read more

Lots of good deals. Staff are good at helping you and answering questions. They have a lot of top brands. I have found lots of good deals

I swung by after visiting Yukai Sushi Buffet. I was blown away by all the good deals on hand soaps, cleaning chemicals, and dish soaps. All the brand name stuff like Seventh Generation disinfectant sprays. All of them were sold for less than $2-$3. I also found a scratch-free great sized mirror that was less than $10. They also had a $25 king sized 100% cotton quilt. Both were straight from Target. No defects found. It was also surprising to find how much home hardware items there, too. I know if I PCS'd or TDY'd in the area, this is where I'd be going to get a lot of the basic essentials. The boot trays can help keep my foyers free of muddy shoes. The decent quality cotton beddings would help me feeling comfortable during the hotter humid months. Looking forward to coming again when I go to Yukai the next time. read more

Shopping in Virginia Beach, Virginia... I've known my friend since First Grade and I trust her totally. When she makes a suggestion, I listen and follow. She said that we should take a look at Ollie's. It's a discount shopping experience. There are all kinds of overstocked merchandise such as books, clothing, personal care items, pet supplies, gardening tools, snacks, beverages, greeting cards, children's toys, kitchen appliances, towels, linens, home decor items, etc. I found silicone gloves for cooking/baking, a shower caddy for my God daughter's bathroom, and gardening gloves for the beach clean up this weekend! Great deals! At checkout, the efficient cashier asked if I wanted to join the Loyalty Program - Ollie's Army. Sure! I love OLLIES. Anytime I see one I visit. I grew up with an ollie's local to me up in PA, when I moved to VA they are far to none. I can always find something I don't need but play myself and say I need. This time I found a WoW pop up book. It's pretty cool. They've got vaccums pet beds and towers, shower items, school supplies whatever here you name it. And it's GOOD stuff CHEAP!! Becareful with the food items. This Ollie's store is absolutely the BEST organized store of all Ollie's! This staff is amazing and I can actually find what I'm looking for without digging! They keep an eye on the lines and call for help when anyone has to wait. The manager is very helpful and always has time to acknowledge me and he willingly (and happily) helps out the staff. Only the second time here but like it so far...Lailah was great helping us ring our purchases but then some elderly guy (think I heard another associate call him Phil) came over and made my folks and I super uncomfortable and our nice quiet afternoon shopping experience just went sour with his noisiness, barging in and mansplaining (even my dad had raised eyebrows at his actions) making sure things were rung up that Lailah had already taken care of...like, my dude, what are you trying to imply?? Ollies Bargain Outlet is huge. They have a little bit of everything. These days I only come here once in a blue moon. But years ago I got some great deals on kitchen cookware thanks to a few Ollie's buyouts. Look for those and you will for sure get a great deal. They also sell refurbished items, but I don't go for those. I think that one of the best, most consistent sections is the books section. You can always find some sort of a great book to purchase - for yourself or for a gift. read more

I've been to Ollie's now a few times. This place has a little bit of everything. However, they are cheaper than going to other places. Here, you can find books, clothing, shoes and boots from time to time, bedding items, luggage, and much more. The items change around, based on what items they can get at incredible bargains. I came in yesterday as I was looking to see how good the bamboo sheet sets were there at this location based on a recent ad for there. I ended up not getting them since it was only a 300 thread count. and didn't feel as soft as I'm used to with bamboo sheets. Even though I wasn't able to find that, I was able to get a microfiber bath mat that needed replacing from the bathroom. I was also able to find a good quality snow shovel for less than $10 as well, though I hope not to have to use it anytime soon. Although there are some good deals to be had, make sure to check what you're getting. While looking, I saw that they had storage boxes on sale for about $5. However, those boxes didn't seem very sturdy. There were also pet beds there , which some had open slits in them with the filling inside of it coming out. Overall, if you're looking for bargains, this is a good place to come to. You'll be able to find many items at discounted prices. I rarely go here because I always forget it's around. When I do go here I find the best bargains on items I wouldn't have purchased, but because of the low prices I buy them anyways. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because the way the isles are set up, most of them not big enough for 2 shopping carts to go down the isles comfortably. My first time ever in an Ollie's Bargain Outlet. Ollie's is set up like a chain discount store, and I would compare it to "Big Lots". Nice big store with alot of square footage. We saw many items in here today that I have seen at other stores in recent shopping trips, with the big difference: Much lower priced at Ollie's! What made the Ollie's trip cool for me today? 12-Packs of K Cups were only 3.99, and 18-Packs of Maxwell House K-Cups were only 4.99! Ollie's is so cool. I've never heard of, or been to it before today. This place literally has EVERYTHING. I wish we had it in the "DMV" but glad we don't, cause people here would have destroyed it. Ollie's has the absolute best prices in town. I was very surprised/impressed looking around the store and saw all the great deals. It has a wide selection for your home decor needs and the employees are very helpful. This is a great place if you want to get decent quality items at an affordable price. Not the most good looking store but their prices are the best. They sell all kinds of things, food, hardware, furniture, books... The expiration dates of the food might might not be as long as pther grocery stores but they are still about 4-6 months so they will be good if you are not just buying them and not eat them. They mostly sell holiday candies and chocolate, that's why they are so cheap. Recently they start selling Calbee Snap Peas, which are one of my favorite snacks, and you cannot find any place that is selling them for 1.29 per bag. read more

Store is dirty and pretty unorganized. You can however always find a good "steal!" Great prices on most items. There is never enough registers open and the way the system is it takes forever and a day to checkout. The employees are okay but not very knowledgeable about anything having to do with the store. A return or swap is like asking for the biggest task in the day or asking to move a mountain! You can get lost browsing all the knock backs and books for hours though. read more

you'd be amazed at what you can find in here. carpet, wood flooring, foam pads for upholstering, new and used video games, table cloths, tools, furniture, food, toys, patio furniture, yard things (grass, stones, liner), books, kitchen gadgets (refurbished), cooking items (last year/season), clothes, wet suits, craft items, sports equiptment, fishing gear, beach gear, household supplies, office supplies...the list goes on! most of their items are from past seasons/inventory, close-out businesses, or refurbished. so when you get in an argument and just need to go cool off, weave your way through the aisles in this store and find merchendise that you'll either need or have no use for...reasonably priced. read more
