I have changed it to 5 after hearing his passion for this theater. He also validated my cons and has expressed they are doing everything they can to remedy them. I will be back to see another movie here soon! The Ashland Theatre has so much potential! I've gone 6+ times since it reopened and I have the following pros and cons Pros: Clean Staff are friendly and professional Great spot to take a date or your family Good mix of new and old movies Cons: -You can always hear the other movies. Whether you're in the small theater up stairs or in the big theater you always hear the sound of the other movie. They could fix this by staggering the movies. I know the current situation makes sense from a staffing perspective but I have multiple friends that no longer go to this theater because of this issue. -The last movie I saw in the big theater (Chinatown) there was birds or bats making a screeching noise on the viewers right side of the theater above the large white circle. It was sketchy. -And this made me so mad. The lights came on 3 minutes before the movie was over. 3 minutes before the end credits. Ruined the end of the movie (ruined the ending of Chinatown)

There is just one little thing you need to know about them... these two might be the bougiest animals to ever walk this planet! With that being said, trying to find a dry dog food that these two picky princesses would actually eat has been an adventure all on its own. We have bought and tried so many different brands, hoping to finally find something they would enjoy that wasn't wet food. Time after time, Stella and SnowBelle basically gave us their husky version of, "Yeah... we're not eating that." That all changed when we checked out Barkly and Meows, a cute little pet shop located right in the heart of Canal Fulton, Ohio--the wonderful town we currently call home. I have always been a huge supporter of small businesses. I'm someone who truly believes that mom-and-pop shops put so much love and passion into their businesses, and they often create a much more personal experience for their customers. Barkly and Meows was a perfect example of that! Once inside, we found a great selection of dog food, cat food, toys for your furry family members, and they even offer dog grooming services. We explained that we had two extremely picky huskies and asked what dry dog food she would recommend. She suggested Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream, telling us it was a little on the stinky side--which apparently huskies absolutely love. Well... she was 100% right! We brought the food home, gave it to Stella and SnowBelle, and they absolutely loved it! They ate it all up the very first time we gave it to them. After trying so many different brands, we had finally found a dry dog food that our two bougie huskies approved of! Now our puppies are extremely happy, their bellies are full, and Mom and Dad are happy knowing we finally found the perfect dry food for them. If you live in or around Canal Fulton, Ohio, I would definitely recommend checking out Barkly and Meows. ( I myself own a mediocre, cotton costume and wanted an awesome Santa for our event this year with an amazing costume.) I requested a picture of the Santa I was booking before I would commit as I wanted to ensure the Santa "look". I was pleased with the photo staff sent of Santa P. Santa P's appearance and his velvet costume with real looking fur, and went ahead and booked. I reached out prior to our event as I had not received a booking confirmation. I left a message in without any reply. I called again the day of our event to ensure we actually had a Santa coming (It was a Sunday and they were understandably closed.) I left another VM. I had no email/phone contact for Santa P, and had to move forward by having a neighbor come prepared to be Santa for our event. I was thrilled when A Santa walked through the door, despite the fact that I had a backup Santa there, and I had scrambled all day to prepare for the possibility no Santa would show up due to the lack of communication. I was surprised it was most certainly NOT Santa P that I had booked. His costume was mediocre, red flat cotton, not real fur, I was disappointed in his appearance (He reminded me of Bad Santa) but -happy that we had an "awesome" Santa persona. We went over the plan, as this Santa said he had been given no instructions from your company and wasn't sure what he would be doing despite the fact that I had provided that information to you. I reviewed our simple itinerary with him. The minute he walked into the room I knew I was in for disappointment. His voice was completely un-characteristic of Santa. There was nothing Santa about it. It was of higher pitch-Nothing jovial or jolly. His appearance was ackward, almost painful-Parents in the room exchanged glances and I wished I could stop him from continuing. During the meet and greet he seemed even more nervous and uncertain of what to say to the kids, sentences were un-natural. He needed to be reminded several times to give the children their gift. I feel positively terrible as he was nice and I wish it were different. As a business owner I understand negative reviews and how you may think this may be an issue in my perception. Let me assure you-this is not the case. Several guests attendance were chattering about our Santa while in the gift shop. You can imagine my surprise when a SECOND SANTA showed up. He showed me an email, sent by your staff member E, stating that the original Santa had "bailed" and they were in need of a Santa for our event just a few days prior. Really? Is this why I could not get a confirmation? And this man showed up 30 minutes late if he was going to be our Santa? I'm not sure exactly what was going on. -If you could not confirm you had the Santa that I booked, I wish that you would have notified me, especially considering I was not sent the Santa that I agreed to book through your company. In hindsight it seemed a very real possibility that no Santa may have arrived at all. *I reached out for a response/resolution 10 days ago. I have sent a follow up email to ensure the complaint was delivered to a supervisor/manager. A staff member C stated she printed it and handed it to her manager herself. I have still not received a single response from your company. That is shameful and extremely un-professional. I cannot imagine simply ignoring an extremely dissatisfied customer. I wish you would have reached out.

Another positive is that the main level of the renovated barn is easily accessible for family members with mobility issues. Although the loft is only accessible by stairs, it was ideal to set up the arts and crafts area as well as the Selfie Station. Large kitchen for serving buffet style meals. Access to a large refrigerator and a freezer chest. Wonderful outdoor space for cornhole tournament and water games. The children had a blast just running around and playing with stomp rockets. There is a "quiet room" available in the event a little one requires down time. Large, clean handicap accessible restrooms. Parking was plentiful. If you are doing a presentation, it is helpful to know in advance that Wifi is unavailable. We knew this and our presenter simply downloaded the ancestry presentation on his laptop hard drive. We do not consider the lack of Wifi to be a negative issue since none of the other venues we explored had it either. Reasonably priced for a large venue. The farm is a fun, relaxing atmosphere for a reunion. We highly recommend hosting your next event at the Idyllic Stables in Wellington, OH.
