The inside has so much potential, it's nicely decorated, open, & spacious, but is NOT ADA compatible. When you first walk in there is a step up and then a step down into the dining room, no ramp. They have paper menus which they could easily laminate to keep clean in my opinion. Unfortunately, the food we received doesn't look like the other reviews. The potatoes were tiny and cut into mini pieces & fries, not fresh or comparable to the potatoes in other reviews. The lamb chops are also very tiny..one bite per chop but were seasoned well. The lobster & grits had good amount of flavor but the bottom of the dish was cold as if it was under a heat lamp & not freshly made. Mussels were decent, and eggs were good but nothing stood out. The bar is BOTTOM shelf for each drink. Lemon drop made with Sky Vodka, up charge for Titos or any one liquor. Destiny was our server and she was nice, smiling, and super accommodating for everything; great customer service from her... the other girl didn't seem to know much about how the meals are cooked or what's included in meals. read more

First impression walking in, is that the design and decor was nicely done and well thought out for the space. The aesthetics feel mature and sophisticated, with a very cute space that looked perfect for larger and/or private parties. The paper menus (with stains on them) were unpleasant to see, but aside from that, the food and drink options offered looked good. The food however, was a huge miss and left me sorely disappointed. The lamb chops I ordered were not at all comparable or consistent with other pictures and reviews seen. The 3 lamb chops served were so tiny, while the portion of eggs and what I assume were home fried potatoes took over the plate. The potatoes were diced so small and fried that it was just crunchy, no flavor, and no actual potato to taste. Not sure why the chef or staff felt comfortable serving such a dish. Literally, one bite per lamb chop because they were so small - see pictures. For the price, I would expect better quality and presentation overall. I also ordered the mussels and an old fashioned (up charged for bourbon other than Jim Bean), which tasted good but was not a stand out experience. read more

Tried out Torch, and overall, it was a nice experience! To start, we ordered the spinach dip and mumbo wings as shareables. They were okay. For cocktails, we went with the Eight-04 and Jax Ward, both well-crafted and enjoyable. The highlight of the drinks was the complimentary mango shooters, which came with a fun presentation and tasted amazing! For entrees, I initially wanted the French style pork chop, but our server let us know they were sold out. Instead, I opted for the salmon with broccolini and a side of lobster mash, and it turned out to be a great choice. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We also ordered the Louisiana gumbo, which had a beautiful presentation, but it was slightly cold when served. However, as soon as we mentioned it, the staff handled it right away and quickly brought back a steaming-hot dish, which I appreciated. Beyond the food, the restaurant's decor was stylish and well thought out, adding to the overall atmosphere. Service was attentive and accommodating, which made for a great experience. Went in this weekend for a friend's birthday dinner. Really, really wanted to like this place as a new establishment to the area. Sadly, I probably will never be return. MAJOR improvements needed. What's working for them? The decor and mature feel to the restaurant. That's about it. It's quite lovely. First, the AC was OUT, or malfunctioning of some sorts in the dining area. In the blistering summer, we fanned ourselves for 3+ hours with paper and laminated menus. The service, SLOW. For a place to be practically empty, and having a large party, there are expectations as a customer. From water refills, to drink orders.. heck just asking if we needed anything. Either hire more staff, or pick up the pace. The food, (when it finally came out) lacked flavor, small portions for the steep prices and was bland. $27 chicken breast plate, served a mini size piece of protein. So much potentially but missing the mark, BIG TIME. read more

Horrible horrible experience here!! Went on Valentines Day & NEVER ate any food even after being there for 2 hours!! The service was horrible barely got waited on ordered 2 drinks that took over 30 minutes to come and the car is literally right behind me. The restaurant was reservation only so it was not packed yet never got our appetizers & ordered 2 more drinks that NEVER came. The manager did not care never came over to apologize or offer some sort of free dessert NOTHING so needless to say I will not be back ever! So many people walked out of the restaurant that night with NO FOOD! & myself & other diners told other people going inside to not even waste their time because they would never get any food! read more

Went to this place Saturday. Customer service and notification of order status is terrible. Waited 45 minutes for two appetizers. We were about to leave when they finally came out. So not to be rude tried to start on the mussels and shrimp. We left without eating because one of the owners started mouthing off because we complained about the lack of service and time it took to be serviced. Two so called owners were sitting at the bar next to us. One was drinking like a fish to the point he didn't realize he'd ran up an almost $140 tab. He's telling us how many chefs they've gone through in 3 months as well as staff etc. We honestly did try not to be rude and eat because the appetizers finally came out as i stated. However, the other owner starts saying to that owner after we complained that if people don't like they can leave and not come back. No problem SAY LESS, of course he was addressed as to who he was referring to. Gave some blah blah not you but we knew. Mind you we were sitting at the bar next to them. Bottom line we walked out. After a few hiccups during their opening, including an exploding hot water heater, Torch seems to be ready to impress. The ambience is beautiful & modern. We sat at the bar and they have a nice but growing cocktail menu. My wife wasn't sure what she was in the mood for so Carmine created her a custom gin and elderflower cocktail that was amazing. His smoked Old Fashioned and Martini were excellent. We finished the night with the lamb burger, Brussel sprouts and wedge salad which were all very good. I don't like writing reviews like this, but I want to outline what transpired so others aren't blindsided. First off, this restaurant is brand new. I think they've only been open two'ish weeks. Unfortunately, they have a lot to work on if they plan on staying on business. There were seven of us in our party for an 830pm reservation. Our table wasn't ready so they took us to the bar while we waited. We were shown drink menus but no one came to ask us if we wanted a drink. They only had three kinds of beer - Mich Ultra, Stella, and one other. It seems like they are trying to dazzle you with flaming drinks. The dry martini one of our party got (once we sat down), tasted watered down. After 10'ish min, they sat us at a rounded booth with one of us needing a bar stool to sit in the open area (the booth really only sits five comfortably with food and drinks). They were short on the wait staff, so the hostess wound up being our server. Since this wasn't her main job I will not comment on her - she did the best she could and was super sweet. We ordered four appetizers and drinks, which came out after several minutes - and not all at the same time. We sat there looking at the spinach dip (which was served with many broken Tostito style chips) for several minutes because we had no plates. We asked a server if we could have small plates, they said yes and walked away. After a few more minutes, the rest of the appetizers showed up and we again asked for small plates. Another several minutes passed and our server brought out large dinner plates. We asked her if we could put in our dinner order and she gladly took it. We ate the appetizers (spinach dip, buffalo cauliflower steak, mussels and lamb meatballs). The apps were decent, although, the price for and the amount of lamb meatballs we got were not comparable - wouldn't recommend. There were mixed reviews on the mussels, I liked them and thought the broth was very good - would have loved some bread to dip into the broth. And then we waited and waited. We ordered more drinks, and then two meals and one side dish came out. Keep in mind there are seven of us. After 5 min, we told the guys to eat so it didn't get cold. The server came out to check on us and we said we were still missing five meals (3 burgers, 1 blackened chicken sandwich and 1 lamb burger - all w various sides). She said she would check and was sure they would be right out. The guys finished their meal and the rest of us still waited. It was now 15 min after their closing time and when the server came back to check on us, we informed her this was unacceptable. She went to get the manager to talk with us. We discussed the situation and the manager wound up comping all of our main meals and we paid for the drinks and appetizers. She said she didn't want us to leave hungry so she would have our meals boxed up for us. We said fine and proceeded to wait even longer while we paid the check. A bag of food came out with 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich and 1 lamb chop (because they didn't have what was needed to make the lamb burger) - we were still missing another burger but at this point we didn't care, so we left. Once home I tried the lamb chops and they lacked any seasoning, but the mashed potatoes and broccolini that came with it were really good - seasoned perfectly. According to the others in our party who tried their food when they got home - the burger tasted like it was three hours old and the chicken sandwich was the driest piece of meat with no blackened seasoning on it. The side of brussels also lacked flavor. All in all, a huge disappointment in this restaurant. I'm not sure how long they will be around, which is a shame - maybe there's potential if they get their staff situation fixed (lots of very junior / never before wait staff) fine tune the consistency with the food flavors and work on their overall service timing.
