    Wedge Salad with grilled shrimp

This place is a go to stop on my trip to VA visiting friends each year. Service is always good and attentive for lunch or dinner. They have a full bar as well as indoor and outdoor seating on a covered patio with fans. On this trip, we ordered drinks from the cocktail menu which were great and the meatballs for appetizer which come with four pieces and some bread. Entrées, we ordered the PESTO & VODKA SAUCE pizza ... very good and a wedge salad with shrimp added. Very delicious!

Visited Tazza kitchen after years of not going, I fear the sentiment remains the same. Such a cute restaurant with beautiful ambience. The service was amazing and fast. The food was good, however, the portions are so incredibly small. In order to feel satiated you have to order a few items. The food is also on the expensive side. I ordered the brussels sprouts which were pretty good as an appetizer. I got the shrimp tacos with sweet potatoes that was incredibly delicious too but as you can see the portions are so small. They also have really good cocktails and cocktails so I definitely recommend. I also recommend coming for happy hour cause then the food and the drinks would be worth the price.

Tazza's has always been a go to location. I have never had an issue here until tonight and I feel it was handled so poorly that it was worth noting. We came as a party of 2, no reservation. We put our name in but then saw 2 friends at the bar. We approached them and began to chat. We were never asked if we would like a drink which is very unlike the other Tazza's locations. Eventually the party of 2 sitting next to our friends got up and we went to sit down but apparently another couple was thinking the same. Our friends suggested we just pull an extra chair to the bar as there was enough room. One bartender in particular seemed bothered by this but did not say anything initially as it was happening. When we were finally approached after sitting she chose to publicly scold my husband for taking the chair and tell him not to do that again. It was not said in a playful or kind way either. Now why was she not able to say, "oh hey we aren't allowed to do that" when it was happening? Why was she not able to say, "hey I have got a few people getting ready to leave and we can shift some chairs around shortly but we can't take from other tables" What happened (the shifting of chairs) was very common for bar experiences, and clearly we had no idea and had no malicious intent. If she had said something immediately he would have apologized and put the chair back. But no she chose to publicly scold him at the bar. It was a completely off putting experience. Had our friends not been there and knowing they have a longstanding relationship coming to this location I would have left out of how off putting her choice of handling it was. She warmed up and was kinder as the night progressed but the initial situation could have been handled so much better as again 1. We didn't know and 2. We had no ill intent. The food was still good as always. The goat cheese and dressing was also left off my salad but after the initial experience I wasn't going to dare say anything. I think I left there more confused than anything else.

TLDR; casual vibes, delicious food, friendly service. Vibes - this Tazza is much more casual and rustic than the other locations around town (like Scotts Addition). We came for lunch on a Friday and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and gave great recommendations but the service was less attentive than what you would get at a table. Food - my husband got the spicy sausage pizza (as always) and I got the Baja bowl with brisket. Both were delicious! We shared a side of sweet potatoes which were good but soooo small and wildly overpriced. I also got a Coke which came in a can so no refills :( I wish I knew that before ordering.

Pizza, tacos, wood fired grill. What's not to love about this neighborhood staple. I may be a little biased, given my wife and I had our engagement dinner here some years ago but Tazza has never disappointed. We sat on their spacious patio for this trip to enjoy the great weather starting off with a couple of the spicy cocktails off their summer menu. The rotating cocktail menu is both approachable and adventurous with the likes of a gochujang oleo in the death drop. Their streaks and scallops are always properly seared just as their staff is always courteous and prompt. Tazza has something for everyone.

Amazing food and unbeatable service. Susan took care of us from the start, answering questions and just overall being a pleasant server. She truly made us feel at home, and her charismatic energy did not go unnoticed. Items are clearly labeled gluten free and the staff was very knowledgeable regarding allergy questions. We went for an early lunch on a Saturday and had no problem getting a table. Service was incredibly fast and the food was fresh and hot. Their lunch menu had some great deals on it, and the overall prices were reasonable for the quality. My only complaint is that the soda is from cans, but our server checked in multiple times offering refills, so it wasn't horrible!

Went with my grandmother on a Saturday for dinner. Nice staff! Food was quick and awesome! I was so hungry i forgot to take a photo of my bowl, but the flourless chocolate cake was great! Will come again :) ambiance was cute. Appreciated the accessibility

Cute family-friendly aesthetic spot in the suburbs with nice outdoor dining ambiance. We tried a few healthier options, with the Crispy Potato Salad and cauliflower apps, both of which were good, we surprisingly really enjoyed the refreshing salad between bites of cheese, as we also tried the melted goat cheese app. The goat cheese was warm and mixed with marinara, and dipped in bread was tasty even if simple! For mains we had to try the Vodka Pizza - delicious. The sauce, cheese, and drizzle of pesto made each bite such a good combo, appropriately salty and creamy. Definitely recommend Tazza Kitchen but either come early or make reservations because it can get packed pretty early with on weekends especially.

Flat iron steak with fried egg on top

Food was amazing, cheeseburger, flat iron steak with a fried egg on top, prosciutto and arugula pizza. Each of us had a great meal. The sangria was delicious. Ambiance was great for talking but could have used a little more light. All in all it was another delicious meal at Tazza Kitchen. We will be back.

TK Nachos w/ chicken adobo , white sangria pitcher

We sat at the bar and it was dim and low lit. Very cute inside with nice, spacious outside seating. We came for a quick bite and got the white sangria mini carafe, 2 watered down shots, and the nachos (specifically with the cantina chicken). Our taste buds were satisfied and s/o to the bartender for the nacho recommendation. The shots being watered down was slightly disappointing

    Chicken Tinga Tacos and fries

My boyfriend and I were staying at a nearby hotel and after searching Yelp, we decided to give this restaurant a try. The ambiance was cozy and features an open kitchen concept. I was very tempted to try a pizza since the wood fire oven is visible from the dining area, but I was craving something a bit lighter. We decided to start with chips and queso, which were delicious, but definitely could have used more queso for the amount of chips. For our entrees, we selected the cheeseburger and chicken tinga tacos. Everything was well seasoned and I really appreciated being able to have fries as my side instead of beans. Service was really good, however our waiter was a bit overzealous. He explained multiple times that it was his first day and to be patient with him, which honestly if he had never mentioned it we wouldn't have known. It became a bit awkward as he kept almost apologizing for no reason. Overall this is a cute spot and definitely seemed to be a bit of a local favorite.

Too cute cocktail and True Story (Non-Alc)

I'm a your patio dog friendly?

Hi Katherine. We do allow dogs on the patio but we do limit the number as the space is small. Depending on how busy the patio is, a larger dog might be hard to accomodate. Many thanks.

For cocktails, we went with the Eight-04 and Jax Ward, both well-crafted and enjoyable. The highlight of the drinks was the complimentary mango shooters, which came with a fun presentation and tasted amazing! For entrees, I initially wanted the French style pork chop, but our server let us know they were sold out. Instead, I opted for the salmon with broccolini and a side of lobster mash, and it turned out to be a great choice. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We also ordered the Louisiana gumbo, which had a beautiful presentation, but it was slightly cold when served. However, as soon as we mentioned it, the staff handled it right away and quickly brought back a steaming-hot dish, which I appreciated. Beyond the food, the restaurant's decor was stylish and well thought out, adding to the overall atmosphere. Service was attentive and accommodating, which made for a great experience. I'd definitely come back to try more!

I don't always order steak here because their stuffed chicken is so good. It's one of my favorite dishes on the menu. I'm also a huge fan of the mac and cheese, and honestly, I've yet to order anything that disappointed me. If you do go for a steak, it's usually seasoned well, flavorful, and cooked correctly. The drinks are another reason I keep coming back. Their bartenders know what they're doing, and every cocktail I've tried has been excellent. At this point, I'm officially becoming a regular. One of my favorite times to visit is during happy hour. The prices are more affordable, and I'll usually order a Caesar salad, mac and cheese, and a cocktail. It's one of the best happy hour spots if you're looking for a more upscale experience without paying full dinner prices. The atmosphere is exactly what I want from a steakhouse. It has the feel of a classic luxury hotel with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and enough space between the tables that you don't feel like you're dining with the people next to you. The service is consistently excellent, the location is convenient, and the overall experience always feels polished. Overall, I'd give Ruth's Chris a 9.5/10. Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and an atmosphere that keeps me coming back. It's one of the few restaurants in Richmond where I know I'm going to leave happy every time.

His water glass also remained empty for 3/4 of our meal, after asking for a refill twice. It still took 10 minutes to get him water. I had a Coke - never was asked if I wanted a refill. Food was disappointing. I ordered the filet cooked medium, and it came back black and blue. My husband ordered the cowboy ribeye cooked medium rare +, and it came back almost raw. We both sent them back, and had to repeat this process over again, as mine was still black and blue. They cooked my same filet 3 times, so it came back nearly in pieces and the outside was completely charred. Very disappointed in management also. We have dined at many nice steak houses, and even several Ruth's Chris locations, and we have never experienced this terrible of service. We are always down to pay extra for a nice meal -- we would never ask for anything to be comped. But a fresh steak after having to send it back twice would've been appreciated. We eventually decided on no dessert, we just wanted to leave. So we ask for the check, and it took at least 20 minutes to receive that. Meanwhile, our server is serving drinks to several surrounding tables. This was overall a terrible experience. We will not be returning. This is my first review on yelp, as I and my husband are not ones to complain about restaurants. Their table bread was outstanding! Very soft and perfectly baked! Their starter brussels were very nice... perfectly made brussels and a tasty combo with lardon. The spinach was by far the best thing on that plate... the salad was overloaded with red onions, and I love red onions, but not this many, cut this large on a small salad. The mahi was soooo dry and overcooked, I literally only 4 bites. The funny thing is since I didn't eat it, when the server took it, I kind of expected her to ask about it, but she never did. This tells me that there's very poor training here for their staff, both back of house and front of house. The manager on duty was very nice, friendly, and helpful. I didn't complain about the fish; frankly, this is a seafood joint, they need to execute right on something so simple and it's not an oddity that mine was messed up... another coworker got the mahi too and he told me later that night how horrible, dry, and overcooked his was too. But I will say, those that got rockfish in our group love it and it looked spot-on. I rarely visit this area, so I'll definitely not be coming back. But when I do visit the area I prefer to have a better experience. Disappointed since this place was suggested by a couple of people I trust when it comes to a good food experience.
