    Poke bowl
    Andrew L.

My friend suggested to come here and it was a very good decision. The salmon Poke bowl was $18 and full of flavour. Edamame was fresh and salmon was delicious. There's a good mixture of sauce to rice. Water was self serve, which is nice. I would definitely go back again.

    Tasting menu for two

We ordered the tasting menu for two from this spot, and it was such a great experience -- even as takeout! Perfect for casual dining at home but with a touch of something special. The variety was impressive and gave us a chance to try a bit of everything. The fish was fresh and high quality, and each roll had unique flavors and thoughtful details that made every bite interesting. You can tell a lot of care goes into their craft. Even the presentation stood out -- the takeout box was neatly arranged and looked great, which made the whole experience feel more elevated than your average takeout sushi. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to, whether dining in or grabbing to go!

First time at Toro Toro and I enjoyed it! I didn't realize it was actually a take-out place so even when you dine in, they place it in a take out box but I didn't mind at all. Pretty reasonable price - we got this entire box set for $125 and it fed 5 adults & 1 child with some leftover. You typically need to notify them ahead of time if you plan on ordering this box set, but they were able to make it for us in just 20 minutes. Very quick service! I would definitely come back

I do take out as the review is good. The server is very polite and ask me to sit down to choose the dish. I order sushi tray . 50 pcs with $88. It has sashimi and sushi. It tastes fresh and sushi is good. The packing is excellent. It is like self serving and decorated in black theme. Very modern look. There is parking outside the restaurant .

I tried this in Vaughn but I liked this location better, we got the tasting box 40 pieces of sushi came with salmon sashimi, shrimp summer rolls, forbidden rolls, salmon tacos, crouching tiger, tataki maki, aburi syake oshi, fantasy, aburi maguro oshi, blossom roll. The take out boxes are really extravagant, they give ice cold lemon water, it is a takeout spot there isn't much service but the staff always have a smile on their face and this place was really packed. The salmon sashimi was very fresh and tasted and melted like butter, the shrimp summer rolls was really tasty, gave a lot of shrimp and tasted good with the rice paper, the forbidden roll is a butter fish and crab stick melted in your mouth with the caviar, out of this world, the salmon tacos were next level tacos, had a great kick with the jalapeño, the crouching tiger which was seared salmon and shrimp tempura, excellent roll had that crunch, the tataki maki melted in your mouth, great sear on the tuna and the yellow tail had a wonderful taste, the abure syake oshi is a seared salmon sushi shaped in a rectangle honestly all their sushi was so good, the fantasy roll was a seared scallop roll with cooked shrimp and crab stick the scallop tasted phenomenal just wanted to keep eating more, aburi mangoro sushi 24k gold flake I can't describe the taste it is really good the tuna was perfectly seared, everything was amazing presentation taste out of this world sushi.

On our visit we were impressed with the beautiful presentation. We ordered the tasting box for two, and it was definitely generous in portion--our stomachs were full of salmon by the end and we had pieces left over. It was a good experience and we appreciate the effort put into presentation and freshness. Just a little more variety and attention to rice quality would be my only constructive criticism

Probably one of my most recommended places for sushi! It's a definite must try, from quality to appearance everything is amazing. It is pricier but for the quality you get, a good treat. We order for take out and they were done faster than we expected.

    75 pc platter
    Holly K.

I ordered the 75pc platter to share with 2 of my friends and the box had a good amount of food... the rolls were big and the fish was so fresh. We especially liked the slabs of sashimi which were so buttery. Overall, it was a good variety and portion that we had to bring some home as we weren't able to finish everything. This place has a decent amount of seating too and a water dispenser so you can chill while you eat. Good vibes despite it being set up as more of a takeout spot where you go up and grab your order when it's ready. I would return as this is a great option to have in Scarborough if you're looking for a non-AYCE place with quality sushi.

Congratulations on the 4th location!! I have always been a fan of Toro Toro, and I'm so happy to know that they were giving out a free poké bowl on the grand opening day! My mom and I arrived at 530pm (they open at 6 pm) and my oh my... the line was already quite crazy! I almost thought we wouldn't get our bowl, but we did!!! We got the classic salmon bowl and the signature toro toro bowl. Both are well portioned despite getting it free. The torched salmon in the toro toro bowl was strong, so it definitely brought out a smokey bite! Thank you, Toro Toro, for letting us all celebrate this opening with yall!!

    75 piece box
    Alykhan V.

My friends and I ordered the 75 piece sushi box for takeout. 5/5 - It was fantastic! Every single piece of sushi was fresh, the rice and seaweed great as well, and overall just the best sushi place in GTA that I've had. It is quite pricey but honestly the sushi was so delicious I'd definitely get it again. Recommend anyone who wants a higher scale sushi and looking for takeout or dine in. Service was also awesome - everyone was friendly and they'd even gave a courtesy reminder call that the food was ready.

I love toro toro for the best takeout sushi! The fish quality is always consistent & fresh. The presentation of their boxes is stunning and is a treat itself. My favourite is always the aburi rolls & fresh cut salmon sashimi. The tasting box for two ($75) has a great selection of various rolls & Toro Toro highlights. As a casual dine in spot, we are always greeted upon entering with friendly encounters. They have a water station that is self serve & neat.

Everything was really good and fresh. The only small issue was that I found a fish scale in the sashimi, but I quickly removed it, and it didn't detract much from the experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place for sushi. It's reasonably priced, has plenty of seating, and is kid-friendly.

The worst was the beef sashimi which had the gnarliest grey colour (ykno the colour when meat is leftover sitting in the fridge for way too long) and had no sear at all either. Sushi temperature was much too warm and the variety was pretty basic for the 2 person platter. Shrimp tempura was good tho - not too oily and not overcooked. The restaurant was extremely hot inside, the A/C was no where near the right temperature for how hot it's been this summer. It was also extremely noisy inside since the restaurant is relatively small - not really a place for a quiet, lowkey meal.

Miki Sushi feels like the kind of place you can casually stop by and settle into a simple, satisfying meal. Spicy Seafood Udon This is exactly what suits the weather right now. Loaded with shrimp, mussels, scallops, mushrooms, and other toppings, the broth has a Korean-style spicy kick that's both warming and comforting. Salmon Pressed Sushi Generously sauced and rich in flavor, each piece feels indulgent but easy to enjoy in one bite. BBQ Ika (Grilled Squid) Despite the chili on top, it's only mildly spicy. It's a good option if you're looking for something filling without spending too much. Since this is the "special" lunch menu, it is noticeably smaller compared to their regular lunch menu, which is $28.99. You're probably looking at around five options per category at best, and some sections only had two choices. That said, the core sushi and rolls had the most variety, which worked out fine for us since that's mainly what we were there for anyway. In terms of quality, it was pretty much what you'd expect from an AYCE spot, but maybe we got lucky that day because the salmon was actually better than most places. Definitely one of the better bites of the meal. There's also a buffet-style salad and dessert table, so it was great when you just want a little bit of everything without the fear of wasting food. Overall, a solid lunch option in Markham if you're craving sushi and don't mind a smaller menu in exchange for the lower price.
