Dr. Voutsas removed my son's wisdom teeth six months ago. After the surgery my son had the normal amount of swelling but unfortunately it didn't go away. My son went back to Dr. Voutsas' office and was told that the lumps in my son's neck must have already been present before the surgery and that he must have mono so he should go to our family doctor. My son was put on antibiotics after the surgery as well as another round when he went back to the office. After the last appointment there was no follow-up from his office. My son went to his family doctor and it was confirmed for that his lymph nodes were still swollen with an ultrasound. He was then referred to an ENT who stated that Dr. Voutsas did not provide adequate after care from the procedure and that the swelling in his face will not go down for another five or so years. If you have a teen that does not want to deal with facial swelling for an extended amount of time DO NOT go to Dr. Voutsas for oral surgery!!!

It's day two and I feel relatively fine! I stopped taking the T3's prescribed and am just taking regular tylenol. I shopped around for estimates and their cost's are the going rate. They do not submit to insurance for you so you will have to pay in advance but they do prepare all the forms for you and provide them to you in an envelope for easy mailing. I had all my teeth extracted and other surgeons had told me that even dentures would be an unlikely possibility for me. It took some surgeries and tremendous care, time, and brilliance, but Dr. David restored my teeth (and my life). I now have complete dental implants on top and bottom (with a titanium rod) sustaining them. It has been years since I had them done and nothing has gone wrong. She was really friendly and explained everything and her staff were great too. They offer the option of sedation or gas but I am a tough cookie (but I better not eat any tough cookies for a while!) and just went with regular freezing since I don't have medical insurance. All in all I was pleasantly surprised, not something you expect to say after dental surgery! Conveniently located steps away from Davisville subway too.

STAY AWAY!!! I paid…read more$500 to this dental office as apparently my insurance wasn't going through. So, I did, and was under the guidance of the front desk girl, that I would receive this money back once my insurance paid my balance. To my dismay, this did not happen. In fact, after reaching out to my insurance provider I discovered that the claims were bring made with an incorrect birthdate, meaning the only reason they were denying my claim was because the information didn't match my records. Once this mistake was pointed out, instead of returning the balance, the dentist chose to instead take as many x-rays and do as much work as possible to effectively fill my claim maximum for the year. I was never given back my money, the claims were all forced through over a long period of time, outside of the time the work was done, and worse still I receive notice that I am, in fact in debt to this dental office. Further, the last time, I visited this office, was for pain in my tooth, at the same location as previous work done by the dentist less than a month prior. Upon my arrival, the assistant opted to take x-rays, after my queries and strange looks prompted by my past experience, she informed me "don't worry you won't be charge for the x-rays, this is to fix a tooth we've already worked on, it wouldn't be right." Moments later, the. Dentist arrived and abrasively told the assistant to charge me for the x-rays before quickly going into my mouth, poking the painful problem tooth before claiming that it was not the problem, but in fact several other teeth that were not in pain. After this interaction I cancelled the rest of the appointment and left abruptly. I will not pay and outstanding balance as I did not agree to any additional product and left your office with pain in my jaw that I didn't previously have. To re-iterate, this is the second time you have sent me notice and will be the second angry letter you get from me. I will be posting this review online as you seem to have not taking the letter as sufficient notice. Stop messaging me, the next prompt will result in legal action; I will pursue this missing $500 as well as report my complaints to the RCDSO. I have no moral reservations or conflict in escalating this issue, leave me the hell alone.
