Horrible Office Staff Experince!…read more I tried to email this place about their dental practices as I was curious for some insight and was rudely spoken to in an email and degraded by whomever emailed me today (2 march 2024). Whoever works at the Dr Arun Narang office should check how this person spoke to me, it was a simple misunderstanding on my part and was hit back with a degrading email that made it seem like I wasn't "serious" about what I was asking about. I was told to send photos, x-rays and a letter from my orthodontist so they could refer me to a surgeon, which I responded that I would get those documents from my orthodontist (since I don't have them with me so I would need to ask my ortho) and I said this I said that I would need to contact my ortho to get this info and I will be in contact with them soon, yet I was screamed at through email by whomever was email. And I was told in the next email ,after I said I STILL need to get those documents for you I will give it to you soon, that " If you want to be taken seriously provide me what I am asking ". How rude can you be. This is how I know this person didn't read my email. I had to email back and refer to my previous email stating that I still need to get the documents. I was also told "Do what I asked of you" which is quite a harsh way to speak to someone who is a potential customer. Horrible Horrible customer service. Staff doesn't have to be this rude, its appalling. Staff shouldn't be this cold to potential customers. I have however found an amazing office somewhere else, the staff is amazing and kind. Kindness goes a long way.

I've been to several school dentist or dentist while living abroad and the experiences are incomparable, I will very genuinely get on a plane to see Dr Venerus as he is a guaranteed positive non-judgmental experience. The clinic is conveniently located near Yonge and Bay and the facilities are very clean and modern. Dr Luong is very helpful and incredibly skilled at what she does. Her hands are very dexterous and you barely feel her working on your teeth. She is also very thorough with her check ups, I feel my teeth are very well taken care of by her. I also have a dental implant from Baywell, the surgery was performed by Dr Luong herself. The surgery went smoothly, Dr Luong was very professional and explained to me the procedure and let me know what she was doing at every step. I recovered very quickly from the procedure. Overall, everyone I've encountered at Baywell has been pleasant and friendly. Just to name a few individuals that I've encountered at Baywell--Marianne the hygienist is very friendly, she does thorough cleanings and makes good conversation. Tania the receptionist is incredibly helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good dentist to go to Baywell.

I've been a customer since 2002…read more Dr Paul Stratis performed my work in 2002 and I can confirm his work is excellent and stood the test of time. I had two crowns put in and they both were of superior craftsmanship, and I've enjoyed trouble free teeth since then. I made one big mistake in roughly 2007 but switching to a dentist closer to my new work location at that time. Live went on. Come 2019 I had a tooth that presented some issues and suddenly needed a rush root canal. I had issues locating a provider and decide to call up my old dentist and ended up being placed with Dr Nick Stratis, Paul's son. I can safely say the talent runs in the family. Nick was expert in his needle work, he performed the root canal quickly and expertly (on a rear molar the work is much more detailed). I had a temporary filling and a prescription for antibiotics in case the infection spread. Things recovered quickly. I went back for more detailed work and my new crown. Like before the finishing work was quick, clean, and expertly performed. I love my new crown. Absolutely no tooth or jaw alignment issues. Lastly, I should mention no great dental office is complete without great tooth cleaning experts. All of the staff who clean my teeth have done excellent work, and leave me walking away with super clean teeth and gums. It shows every time I smile. I feel obligated to maintain a great dental health routine just to not disappoint the staff on my next visit. And finally staff who run the front counter and manage appointments have been professional, organized, and super accommodating, when I've had to make schedule adjustments. I'll be going to this office for my dental work even if I move out of province. I'll find a way.

The breakdown: HOURS OF OPERATION/LOCATION - 5/5 A short walk from Eglinton station, north on Yonge Street. Appointments are available as early as 7am to late 7pm. SERVICE - 5/5 Everyone is friendly, nice and professional. I had Jasmine as my dental hygienist whom cleaned and buffed my teeth - very sweet and was very mindful of sensitivities around my gums, teeth and mouth. She really got all the unpleasant stuff out. She was also informative with information of preventative care and answered all my questions clearly. Candy was the one that took my Xrays and she was sweet as a cookie. She has been with the practice since 1984 and she definitely enjoy what she does. She made quick, easy and comfortable for me. Dr. Ari examined me and was really nice and funny. He was professional and only recommended what should get further examined and what could be left alone for monitoring only. It was quick and pleasant. The ladies at the front were also very nice - sorry dont know their names but quick, friendly and accommodating. CLEANLINESS - 5/5 Clean, fresh and neat. I was worried because with covid and the busy period I might not be seen for a while. I called and explained l, immediately they could tell I was distressed and offered an appointment within a short time. Dr.Randy Fisher was able to undo all the previous neglect and completely rejevuenate the tooth, he then was able to perfectly fill my front tooth. They will take the time and ensure you are totally satisfied with the work. They take great pride in making sure you walk out without pain and /or satisfied. Highly recommend.

Today I went to the dentist for the first time in... none of your damn business…read more I was truly expecting to be floss shamed, cavity ridden and ridiculed for being a mediocre grown up. This was not the case. The hygienist was excellent and explained everything as she did things, let me watch Netflix on my iPhone, and asked if I needed breaks when I winced during the cleaning. Please don't let this last line deter you, the wincing is because I'm a wuss and again, deserved to be floss shamed. My new dentist, Dr. Walden was lovely, understanding, quick yet thorough and I definitely trust her with my smile. They're taking new patients, and if you have insurance they take the payment directly from your insurer which is mighty handy. Say cheese!

Often, in the past, when I go to a new dentist, I get the reaction of "Ooh, it's been six months…read moreplus one day since you last saw a dentist? [shaking head sympathetically] Tsk, tsk. [gesturing vaguely to invisible problems on an Xray] Well, I'm sorry, but here's the list of 14 things that NEED to be done. You do have insurance, right?" This was so not my experience here. I explained that my insurance runs out in two weeks and I have a sore tooth, so they squeezed me in to a short-notice cancellation. Two points for them there. I arrived late (my bad - had the address wrong) but they still whisked me in fairly quickly, and everything was done quite efficiently. I've been going to older-fashioned dentists in Oakland, CA where the Xrays were still being done with that horrid cardboard stuff and put up on lightboxes, so the digital ones that went on the overhead TV were kinda cool. Nice to be at a 21st century office. Dr. Walden and the hygienist were both really, REALLY nice. They were friendly and helpful, explained what they were doing and what the jargon meant, and despite the fact that it's been about 18-20 months since I'd seen a dentist, were not patronizing or casting about for things to stick my insurance company on. Actually, Dr. Walden was quite complimentary on my oral hygiene - so many dentists are rude or patronizing about it. The only problem they did find made complete sense (the corner of a 30-year-old filling was broken off on the tooth that was sore - now I understand why the floss kept snapping!), and the receptionist offered to fit me in this afternoon to get it fixed. Like other reviewers have said, no one LIKES to go to the dentist, but when they make it an almost pleasant experience, you can dislike it so much less. Addendum: I'm back from having that filling fixed. I will admit that dental work and needles in my mouth terrify me - a previous experience with an awful dentist in California that left me unable to chew on the left side of my mouth for *three years* - and Dr. Walden was very, very considerate and careful dealing with an obviously extremely uncomfortable patient. She kept up a reassuring patter throughout, interrupting herself frequently to keep me in the loop about what she was doing, explaining, checking on me, at one point informing me that I might want to clench my hands just a wee bit less since one of my fingers was clearly losing circulation... I sent my neighbour to her recently, too. His assessment? "She rocks!" And how often, I ask you, does someone hear THAT about a dentist? Second addendum: Have -you- ever heard of a dentist who emails you at 9pm on a Saturday evening to check how your new filling is holding up? I hadn't, either. Until Dr. Walden.
