While he was looking at the hobby/collectibles shop down the street, I stumbled upon Three Sisters Boutique. It was a quiet weekday morning and the shops on Pine street were just opening for the day. I arrived and loved the cute clothes and accessories at Three Sisters. If I wasn't on vacation with a mostly empty wallet from spending too much money in New Orleans, I would have probably spent more time and money in this establishment. It is upscale, boutique clothing in a quaint small town. However those designer labels must come at the boutique price. They had some lovely smelling candles from a Louisiana company with cute Louisiana-specific scent names (Southern Bell, Fleur de Lis, etc). I'm not sure if I'll ever be in the area again, but I would highly recommend it for anyone on their way to or coming from New Orleans.

This morning I attended the F21 RED Grand Opening. The park was the first 200 people in line were…read moregiven a $10 gift card. So, of course I wanted the experience plus the gift card. I actually got there right before 10 a.m. and still managed to get a gift card. Upon walking in I was greeted by the employees and was instantly amazed. Compared to the F21 at the Mall of Louisiana it is smaller,however, it isn't a clutter mess. Granted its new but it's more appealing. Plus it's not so big so upkeep should be easier. Even with the grand opening the employees were still ever friendly and helpful. I had no issue at all and found some nice items. They offer womens, Plus size, mens, boys, and girls all under one roof! Only thing that makes me curious about the "RED" title is that the prices look just like the regular F21. So, I didn't see the real difference in them. That's only bc the red store is supposed to be cheaper. Nonetheless, I'll definitely be back again! Denham Springs and Juban Crossing is on the come up.

After my experience at Belk today, it's no wonder they filed for bankruptcy four short years ago. I…read morespent over an hour in our local Belk cesspool. After wasting what felt like a significant portion of my life searching through the disarrayed shelves of dress shirts, I was informed that the card readers were not accepting debit cards. Conveniently, they were accepting Belk's money-grab credit cards. I would expect a sign to be posted alerting potential victims of the outage; no information was conveyed whatsoever. The woman behind the counter refused to take any responsibility, claiming "Yes, they should have put up a sign." She, too, works at the establishment, and could have put up a sign herself. As far as my thoughts on Belk, I'd put money on bankruptcy number two coming soon. I'd prefer to drag my feet across a cheese grater than return.
