As it happened, we entered the Eddie Bauer store in Lincoln City, and a staff member approached us to offer assistance. I explained that we weren't looking for a standard outlet experience--we needed help navigating a new wardrobe for our daughter, who had recently come out as transgender. My husband and I, as cis gendered gay men, had no prior experience with teenage girls' clothing. The employee, Robin, listened carefully and responded with professionalism and care. She introduced herself and offered support without judgment. She helped our daughter select clothes that aligned with her identity and expressed her pronouns. This interaction stood out compared to previous experiences at Eddie Bauer. The store's service, particularly Robin's approach, reflected a thoughtful and inclusive environment.
