January 1, New Year's Day, and my 14-year-old transgender daughter wanted to go shopping for new clothes. I was unsure how to choose clothing appropriate for a teenager who recently transitioned from wearing boys' clothes. As it happened, we entered the Eddie Bauer store in Lincoln City, and a staff member approached us to offer assistance. I explained that we weren't looking for a standard outlet experience--we needed help navigating a new wardrobe for our daughter, who had recently come out as transgender. My husband and I, as cis gendered gay men, had no prior experience with teenage girls' clothing. The employee, Robin, listened carefully and responded with professionalism and care. She introduced herself and offered support without judgment. She helped our daughter select clothes that aligned with her identity and expressed her pronouns. This interaction stood out compared to previous experiences at Eddie Bauer. The store's service, particularly Robin's approach, reflected a thoughtful and inclusive environment. It reinforced our sense of belonging in our Northwest community and our continued trust in the brand. Thank you, Robin Wedertz, for supporting our daughter in expressing her identity with confidence. My husband and I go to Lincoln City several times a year and this store is always on the agenda! My husband finds the best work clothes here, especially on clearance! The store is well organized and clean and we have always had good customer service. We especially appreciate the discounts they offer, as my husband works in Healthcare, I am a First Responder, and our son is in the Air Force! They aren't pushy or invasive while you shop, but helpful if you need it. We love the random extras you can find here too, pet items and other outdoor items. read more

Hasn't Eddie Bauer died yet? I mean the style and the person. This store has the classic 90's preppy style, or the forever New England Cape Cod style. Either way, it's not really fitting for anyone unless they have a lot of money. But if you had a lot of money you wouldn't shop at Eddie Bauer. So...yeah. read more

Excellent, this location of fantastic. The store is huge with a great selection. Unlike other stores at this mall I did not see clothing on the floor, the tables and displays are neat, clean and orderly. The employees and polite and helpful. A well managed store is always neat, clean. The employees should be polite well dressed and hopefully wearing the clothing they are selling. It's basically standards this store always meets. It sad to see customers that are abusive, self entitled idiots. In every case I have seen the sales people were polite. read more

The employees here were very courteous. And the store is clean and bright. But we were extremely dismayed to see that most of the merchandise is made in China. So we walked out of the store empty handed. read more

Honestly, its laughable to hear the aloofness and arrogance of those commenting here saying "Wow, what awful style you have if you shop at Eddie Bauer, here's a one star because you're not trendy enough if you shop here". Then why might I ask, are you shopping here to begin with? Why write a review for a place you already hate the style of the clothes at? Many people love the style of Eddie Bauer because they aren't concerned with being the 'cool hipster kid' on the block. Eddie Bauer gears its line of clothing towards an outdoor lifestyle - not a (and excuse my abrasiveness in advance) dripping with sex Kadastrian wannabe narcissist looking for club wear. Bauer products are built to last. Some of the best purchases I've ever made come from here - One person said "its all made in China", and yet, 90% of everything I have purchased from them is made IN GERMANY. Rarely do I find something made in China at Eddie, but every now and then you might with the cheaper items like shoes/hats/scarves. Their German made jackets/zip ups are the best quality - far better than the North face or Columbia outer gear, which often times ends up destroying itself within one year's time. North Face is some of the most awful quality stuff out there. There is a reason Eddie Bauer purchases come with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. Because quite frankly, the stitching is superior and so is the design. Eddie Bauer purchases have proven that to me over the years. I think their design/style is sleek and sophisticated, and perfect for the practical person who wants to look credible, but isn't so self-obsessed that they have to be a Kadastrian look-alike to be happy. If you love the outdoors and need quality duds, Eddie Bauer is where its at in terms of style/quality that will last for years. As for the STAFF at this location. I have never had an issue here, save a few times. There's a few rather rude people who work here (I won't name names). But, I can ignore that. read more

My spouse and I had a truly awful experience at this store. It felt like it might have been some kind of racism or anti-gay discrimination. Not sure which one, but the clerk responsible for our mistreatment was named Alexander on our sales receipt. We spent nearly an hour selecting items to purchase and during that time Alexander made a point to greet all of the customers in the men's section, except us. In fact he seemed to go out of his way to avoid us. When it came time to pay for our stuff, unfortunately Alexander was the only clerk working the register. While he apologized to the customer in front of us for not being able to wait on him, when it next came our turn at the register, Alexander summoned us by impatiently tapping his fingertips on the front counter. Next he asked if I had an Eddie Bauer loyalty card for an additional discount, and when I responded that I did not but that my husband did, he said "no, sorry, it has to be the person who's paying." I informed him that I was actually paying with my spouse's credit card and that it was my husband who was standing live right there next to me, but Alexander still refused to look up my husband's Eddie Bauer number. At that point my husband, shaking his head in disbelief, interjected that we should all just forget it and we did. As if the situation couldn't then have gotten any worse, after about 45 seconds of awkward silence while he was folding our purchases, Alexander had the rudeness/audacity to ask if either of us are over 55. When I laughingly responded "obviously not" as neither of us are even close to that age, Alexander huffed back at me, "well, I'm just trying to save you some money." Was he implying that if I lied and said yes I would have gotten some discount for the elderly? What a weird way to treat customers. No one with such atrocious social skills should be employed in a retail setting. I won't make any more purchases from that store while that employee works there. read more
