I typically buy my items online and have them shipped to the store for convenience. I usually choose this store over the one that's closer to me because this store has been better about calling me and notifying my items are in. I constantly get inconsistent emails saying my items are ready to be picked up some are I. Some aren't, I went to pick up my items and the lady at the desk drilled me on why I was there to pick them up because she hadn't even scanned them in yet to say that they were here. I told her I received an email. I didn't even get all my items. Somewhere were canceled somewhere weren't. The bra I got instantly had a curl to the cup and I had already cut the tags off, so I can't return it. Inconsistent customer, service, inconsistent, quality of clothes. Outstanding store. Sizes from 10 to 30, great styling and flattering fit assured. Easy to find near the Food Court at Meadowood Mall. You walk in and are greeted and the customer service amps up from there. Large spacious dressing rooms. Yes, they are happy to start a room for you while you shop. Super cute styles whether needing casual or dressy. The wonderful staff know their stuff and know their inventory, do let them help you, I did and it made a huge difference. I always check out their clearance rack, amazing buys and sometimes it is buy one, get TWO free. Great rewards program too. I always get compliments on my clothes from Torrid, they aren't just cut bigger, they are styled to flatter and fit well. This Reno store is my favorite! read more

I recently went in for a visit to torrid to return some glasses that unfortunately broke shortly after I bought them. I have the receipt so I thought it would be no problem to bring the product back and just exchange it for a new one the cashier Lou was extremely rude unfriendly and I thought maybe she's just having a bad day. I seen a couple cute outfits that I wanted to get I was on lunch and decided to come back another day went today hoping for a different experience and unfortunately it was no better than the last Lou was still extremely unfriendly rude had an attitude of superiority that did not feel good at all. I've been a customer with torrid for years and never had that type customer service like that besides these last two times. Please develop a training system that teaches employees customer service and treating all customers equally. I don't know if it's a race thing or know what the issue could've been. The other employees are always welcoming and always polite if you don't wanna work in customer service with all different type of people with different backgrounds then do not work in this type of field. read more

Absolutely blown away by not only this store, but the associate Maggie as well! My husband & I went to the mall a few days ago to look for a nicer dinner shirt to attend dinner at Anthonys Chophouse. (Superb, check previous review!) I, as usual, couldn't find anything flattering with my body shape. As we were walking, he noticed a sign in the store front of Torrid about massive sales so reluctantly I agreed to go in. I have never had so much success in a clothing store!! Prices are a bit high, but the quality makes it so worth it. They had a promo going on which (long story short) I got a deal of a free bra with 'x' amount of money spent. So we went back the next day and Maggie was working again. She is just so kind and the type of woman who builds other women up! I felt as if we were friends! I love this store and will definitely be back! Thank you, Maggie!! I am enjoying my new wardrobe!! read more

I now remember why I don't go to the mall location. Worst customer service!!!! Store had quite a number of customers in the store. I was the first one in line to pay and stood there for almost 10 minutes while the only employee we could find was folding clothes staring at the line at the check out. Mind you there were 5 people in line waiting so the line was not short. My daughter calls the store to get the employee to move so the employee comes to the register to answer the phone and then my daughter hangs up. Sad that we had to do that to get the employee to move!! The employee says with a smart mouth tone "are you ready to check out" - what do you think we all were doing there waiting for you to move and do your job!! She obviously didn't care to do anything and shouldn't even be employed there. This was on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12:15 pm if Torrid managers care to review the cameras of your employee's behavior!! This store doesn't deserve even one star!! read more

I love the clothes here, everything is so cute. I have to be careful, anything with a defined waist will hit halfway between the girls and my actual waist. My two issues are that all of the cutest things are "web exclusives" and that the prices are high. Buying online clearance is risky, the return policy is that they won't allow it for any reason. read more

I absolutely love the store! The employees are very friendly, they know their stuff and they are great at making sure you're getting what you want! It's the retail experience everyone should have! My only two complaints are that the store has too many cute clothes (I can't afford it all! ) and that it's so far away from home (I live in Tahoe). Very clean, very cute. One of my favorite places to shop... However, no one offered assistance and the store was empty ... by my count there where 3 associates.... Ironically there was another lady who came in after me about 10 min or so... They all offered to help her find things... Then my husband came in and started talking to me trying to get their attention... and nothing. I was upset because there are things I was interested in and I am a frequent shopper... After that expieriance I will never go back there again. Ill stick to Maurices and online... Worst expieriance ever! read more

To be honest, I very rarely take the time to write positive reviews, however I felt it was necessary to acknowledge one employee from this store because she has been beyond awesome. During a 4 month period I spent literally thousands of dollars at Torrid and every time I visited this store, Sarah was super helpful. Even when I was looking crazy, grabbing 50 things to try on she was always super patient and fun to talk to. This review is prompted by an issue I had after ordering online and sending it to the store. It was 4 different packages and one appeared to be missing. It was a dress I was going to wear to my wedding's dinner rehearsal. I'm from abroad and I was already out of the country, my fiance was flying out literally the next day and we NEEDED that dress. He was picking it up and in the middle of that super stressful situation, Sarah went above and beyond to help him and solve the problem. I don't know if anyone will read this review but if they do: Sarah you rock. read more
