I came in because I had a gift card to spend. My last experience here was not that good. I came in this Friday and was greeted as I walked in this time. I wasn't sure if I wanted another pair of boots or a jacket as I already had a bunch of jackets and boots already. They a very limited selection of boots that were my size. But this time I was helped by an employee. Although they had a limited selection of boots, they happened to have a boot that I liked. I was also browsing at coats and was again assisted by another employee. Did I walk in on a lucky day or did their customer service change for the better? Today I was treated good. Their cash register was a little slow as a long line was starting to form but I patiently waited. I conditioned my new boots and wore them. I'm happy. Early birthday present shopping for a family member. Boot barn has really cute Western style, BOHO type women's clothing and boots. The store has a nice Western theme with CW music included. Love all the sparkly bangles, belts and buckles. But alas, I was shopping for a male, not myself. Have to come back for myself, when the need arises. Customer service was great. Could not find the size of steel toe boots we needed, but ordered them online and had them shipped to the house. If they do not, we can exchange them for something in-house. read more

We shop at BB frequently. This is probably the worst. The place is cluttered. There is a huge lack in organization. I could maybe overlook it if the staff was willing to help. The staff was plentiful but far too interested in each other and their relationships than customers. I will not be back. I'm far from their typical customer. I don't like to hunt, I don't like country music, and I'm in no way a fan of deer camo wear. However, in my job (Process Operator), steal toe boots are one of the many pieces of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) I'm required to wear and when it comes to work boot, Boot Barn has a vast selection. The customer service here is so-so. The employee that checked me out today was personable and nice but the other one that helped me on the sales floor was a bit off putting. She was training a new person and I interjected (politely) to ask a question and she came off like I was inconveniencing her. If you're looking for work boots, gloves, or clothes, they have you covered. A lot of the boots are NOT cheap, but they are of good quality and will not only last, but properly protect you as well. read more

Went in planning on getting 5 long sleeve work shirts and one pair of safety toe work boots and 2 work hoodies. Walked in, i felt like i was in midnight Walmart, things all over the floor, there's no floor plan other than the left side is for female and right side for men. First I went to find long sleeve work shirts, couldn't find it, more country dress shirt than work shirts. Then i finally found some Carhartt work shirts, but they are all XL, XXL. Same thing goes to the hoodies. I couldn't figure out how the men side is sectioned, it's all mixed up. It's not sectioned by brand, style. It just one clothing rack after another, and they are stuffed to a point that you can't pick a shirt up without dragging 2 other shirts out. Then i thought maybe i'll look at the work boots first. Because i was getting frustrated with the shirts. But... boots are also not sectioned into categories. I saw TONS of boots, to a point it was an ocean of boots, you can get lost in the boots section for 2 days. I walked around and also didn't find my size. Then i scanned the store for someone to help me, but i couldn't figure out who are the employee and who are the customers. Then give up on the boots. I went to looks for country style coats, man they have so many styles, which is awesome, but didn't see anything in M size. At this point the only thing that kept me from turning into a Karen was Sam Hunt's song playing over the radio. Anyway i walked out within 10-15 mins. And now i'm back home shopping for those things on Amazon, 2 day shipping since i got Amazon Prime. One good thing about this place is that they really have A LOT of boots and country style shirts. But if you are coming in for work shirts i'm afraid they don't have that much, at least not if u wear M or L, because all i saw were XL and XXL. I wouldn't know if they had M since no one helped me. Overall experience: Run down store with a vibe of midnight Walmart+Ross(crowded floor plan)+Macy's right after Black Friday things everywhere. We dropped in here while vacationing in Reno. The selection of boots, clothing, and accessories is vast. They have hundreds if not thousands of boots. My wife purchased two pairs. Unfortunately, after one day one of the pairs began falling apart at the heel. We can probably glue it back together, but still this is very disappointing. This Boot Barn location is amazing! Tiffany greeted me at the moment I stepped into the door. I have shopped at boot barn in Texas and never been greeted. I was immediately asked if I needed assistance finding anything special, after conveying my shopping needs, Tiffany walked me to the boot section. At that point I expected her to walk away, however she was there and had great product knowledge. After making my selection she went on to ask if there was anything else I needed. She escorted me to the next section of the store and assisted me like a champ. Because of Tiffany, I don't plan to buy western wear anywhere but Boot Barn. I hope she's available when I return. I was greeted by two or three people as I walked in yesterday. It was Saturday, it was noon and there were a lot of people in the store. Just got back from this location and to be honest I was quite disappointed. No body greets you or checks to see if you need anything. I had to "interrupt" the workers twice in the middle of them talking amongst them selves to ask for assistant. When I made my way to the counter with my jeans there was another worker slouched over by the cash register next to where I was standing talking to the guy ringing up my purchase.... just sloppy awful customer service with kids that don't know how to work. I went there Sunday to buy some boots. Edwin started to help me then said he was going to find someone else because he wanted to get back on a register. There was 4 people working the register with one patron. When he had to hurry back to the register there was 2 patrons and still 4 employees. No reason I could see to run away. Went into boot barn to buy my husband a pair of work boots and they didn't work out for him, they were blistering his feet & calves. So we went back to see if they could give us a discount on a different boot and instead Britney did a complete exchange when she clearly didn't have to because the receipt states no returns or exchanges on anything that doesn't have a tag attached or that is used. She was very helpful on telling us what style boot to choose and what width. Over all a friendly environment and very helpful staff if you find the right person. Boot Barn is a decent place to go to get your Western Wear. I bought some boots and and few items, their prices are expensive but they carry the really good brands. The boot selection is one of the best in Reno for standard boots. The mens shirt selection is very good, the women's shirt seems to be more limited. The employees are helpful and give a good level of service. Anytime your purchase an item over $25 bucks they give you a coupon for 10 percent off of your purchase to use for your next store purchase, which is nice. read more

One boot fit a little snug so they stretched the boot to fit due to an old injury. I also bought an Ariat shirt that was too big. They took it back and exchange it for the correct size. I want to give this company five stars because in all of the years shopping there I haven't had many issues, but I am not super happy with the customer service I received recently. I ordered a pair of boots from their online store because they didn't have them in store. The purchase and delivery was outstanding. The boots were exactly what I wanted- however apparently they run a little large and they were just too big. When trying to do a return on their website, it suggested taking them to the store to do the exchange- otherwise it would charge me an additional $10.00. I took the boots to this location, I wanted to do an exchange for a smaller size. They had to return the boots, and they couldn't do a size exchange. They wanted me to order another pair from their website while in store and wait 3-5 business days for my refund. (So id essentially be spending double until the refund was issued). I wasn't thrilled with this answer but understand policies are policies. When I placed my original order I had used a coupon for a discounted cost, I asked them if they would honor the discount if I ordered the smaller size right then and there since I was literally just trying to get a smaller size, but they wouldn't honor the coupon. So, they were basically asking me to pay double until I got my refund, and then pay more than what I paid originally all for something I was just trying to exchange for a smaller size. It turned into returning the boots, getting no exchange, and then ordering the boots from a competitor. I'll give them another try in the future, but definitely will not be ordering anything from their online store again. read more
