Hopes forever held high, when I heard about this truck I set out as soon as I could to taste it. Easier said than done since the hours posted on-line are wrong. It took 4 visits to finally find it open. School kids and his personal life are the reason for the tardy hours. I ordered a 12 pc meal with fries and cole slaw. The chicken pieces were massive, 2-3 times the size of fast food chicken, like the ones in grocery stores. While not as good as my homemade it was very good and will now be part of the take-out rotation at home. Fries were very good, previously frozen. Slaw did not have my preference of mayo or flavor profile but the wife liked it. Most days he opens between 12pm and 1pm. He did share his cell number with me so I could call in orders even when he is not yet at the truck and we can arrange a pick up time. Sweet!! Come get you some.

The outside area was on point and honestly made us feel like we were back home in Miami. We moved to Tampa about a year ago, and it's been hard finding spots that give that real Latin/Dominican vibe, but The Latin Dug Out definitely does. I did not know what to expect from the Masala Dosa but wow was it delicious. The dips with it only added to the crunchy creation. The butter chicken was awesome as well. Between the two, I left very full. I finished everything off with a Mango Lassi. It was ok and it is the one thing I would not get again. The food truck is easy to get to in a large parking lot. Next to it are a few picnic tables covered by a tent so you are able to eat the food on site if you so desire. Overall, this spot is great on value and food so I highly recommend!

Crave worthy donuts…read more West Park Village had a food truck rally. Normally, I wouldn't brave the crowds to go to these things, but I scheduled to have a friend cut my kids hair that day and she lives in WPV, so I figured, why not. After the hair cut, I threw both kids in the stroller and her family and mine walked over to the rally. My three-year-old spotted the donuts and demanded them right away. (I always say that he may grow up to be spoiled and stupid, but at least he'll be kind, but I digress). We got in line to get some donuts. It was $6 for a dozen and since they had a minimum credit card charge of $5, we couldn't get a half dozen (which I think was $4), without paying an extra 25 cents. I'm glad they have that minimum in place, because you definitely want to go with at least a dozen. If I knew my husband would eat some I might have even gone with the 36 for $16, they're that good! Since they're made to order, they were warm and we got it with cinnamon sugar. These things are dangerous. I had mini donuts from another place recently and found them to be doughy. As another reviewer mentioned, these are melt in your mouth, not doughy at all. I haven't been eating sweets a lot recently, but somehow six of these disappeared. My son ate five (and he's a picky eater) and my husband ate one. My husband said they were really good, but I wouldn't let them have more. If you see this food truck, you definitely should get some. They're fantastic!
