I'm used to flour tortillas with a rich, savory flavor that are satisfying enough to enjoy on their own. We ordered several burritos, and while they were certainly good, they never crossed into memorable. The ladies working there were incredibly sweet and patient with me while I attempted to order my entire meal in Spanish. I'm pretty sure my grammar was questionable, but they understood me! We ordered carne asada burritos, a chile relleno burrito, a carne asada torta, half a dozen red tamales, and a watermelon agua fresca. Everything was around $40, which was an amazing deal for the amount of food we got. The tamales were SO good. Moist, flavorful, and a really good meat-to-masa ratio. My father-in-law ended up eating most of them! My husband loved the torta, and the salsas were really good too. The ladies were also just genuinely kind. While I was waiting, we started talking about the Buy El Paso Rewards program, and I ended up helping connect them with the City so they could learn more about participating.
