I have also filed a complaint with BBB: The last straw with TASC occurred on October 27, when an unexplained "Admin Balance Adjustment" of -$40 was posted to my MyCash account, with a corresponding +$40 contribution to my 2024-2025 HRA. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called for clarification on October 28, the Customer Service Representative began adding up every transaction that occurred in MyCash since 2024, without realizing that it was a running total.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explained that her approach would not resolve the issue, yet after over 30 minutes of investigating, she was still unable to explain the origin of the charges or provide any supporting documentation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is extremely alarming that TASC can make account adjustments like this without any transparency, explanation, or accountability. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dealing with this level of incompetence is stressful enough on its own, but it is even worse when you are already managing pain and medical issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead of easing the process, TASC adds unnecessary frustration at a time when support and clarity are most needed. If I could give zero stars, I would. TASC Online has been nothing but a headache since I enrolled. Their benefits card is unreliable, [[HIGHLIGHT]]their customer service is clueless[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and their website is a maze of broken promises. I've tried multiple times over the past few months to use my card to purchase an OMNY transit pass...declined every time, despite having funds. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called, I was told there was "no reason" it shouldn't work. That's not an answer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since June 2, 2025, I've had to pay out of pocket for commuting to work. On September 17, I called again to ask about transit reimbursement, only to find out their site doesn't even offer transit as a reimbursement category. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The two reps I spoke with had no idea this was the case. How do you work for a company and not know what your own platform offers?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tried to use the card for dental work, declined again. Called again. Got nowhere. TERRIBLE!!!! I don't think there was a review on here above 1 star which is something I have never even seen on Yelp! My employer switched from Optum (bad but not TASC bad) after we were already in Optum so I was stuck as my employer reserved the right to switch mid year for FSA accounts. They deny most things even if it's on their approved list. I appealed something months ago that had been approved with no issues when I was with Optum for years, and never received an update from the appeal and now it's the last day of the cycle naturally! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their website is useless as well and looks like someone in the 90s made it and the language for everything is deliberately vague.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many things that don't need a doctor's letter with most plans are required with TASC. I had hundreds of dollars left with TASC and I don't trust them with using the extra money until March 15 so I just spent them on a bunch of crap that SHOULD be FSA approved just to use up the balance. For the following year, I did the minimum allowed simply because I knew it would work for things with Kaiser but after 2025, I would not even bother using TASC for the purpose of an FSA any longer. On top of it, there's no chat feature on the website and there doesn't seem to be away to speak to a human being via email as well. THEY WANT NO PAPER TRAIL!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. We used TASC for our 2024 plan year and it has been nothing short of a disaster. From the very beginning, the file feed failed entirely, ruining our enrollments and forcing us into an exhausting cycle of audits, re-audits, and more re-audits. The administrative burden this placed on our team was enormous, and it created ongoing issues for our employees. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the most frustrating parts of working with TASC has been the severe lack of internal communication. It often feels like no one at TASC talks to each other.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Support tickets get bounced around without resolution, and their so-called "resolution specialists" provide little actual help.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Communication is inconsistent and often unclear, and we rarely get a straight answer on even simple questions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were taught three different ways to terminate an employee's coverage, which continued to not work. We discovered in the fall that we didn't even have the correct button enabled on our dashboard to perform terminations at all. Even once terminations were submitted, employees often remained active in the system, creating ongoing issues we're still dealing with months later. Employees are told they can close their own accounts, but in practice, this doesn't actually happen, but somehow does?, adding even more confusion and unresolved cases to the pile. We seriously considered switching vendors midyear but chose to stick it out. In hindsight, we absolutely should have made the change. TASC has been the worst benefits administrator we've ever worked with. The lack of accountability, poor communication, ongoing system issues, and total absence of proactive support make them an unacceptable partner. We cannot recommend TASC to anyone. Our organization has used TASC for the last several years. This year has been the worst. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have tried contacting them multiple times since the beginning of December by phone. Every time I call during normal EST business hours they are "closed." They seem to be closed all of December[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have sent help requests with different recommendations every time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I found out at the end of the year, they want receipts for FSA eligible items that I purchased months ago. They never asked for these verifications last year and they never asked for them until I contacted them about the irregularities on my account. Alternatively, I can replace them with other FSA eligible items I have paid for out of pocket. When I tried submitting receipts for those items, they have responded with messages that I have no more eligible monies in the account. Do NOT sign up for any services with TASC!!!! They take money from your paycheck with the false idea of easily accessing your funds for eligible items. First, notice how TASC doesn't want to claim their business and acknowledge what a scam it is? They hide behind the curtain as they steal money from people. TASC Is a complete joke! I took my son to the ER due to a seizure. I used my TASC FSA card for the co-pay. Even though the bill was from a hospital TASC declined it. I submitted a copy of the invoice and they still declined it, stating that the date and services were incomplete, despite it being clearly displayed on the invoice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke to a customer care representative and she said they needed more information. I then submitted the only other paperwork that I received from the hospital, which was the discharge paperwork. Again, they declined it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke to yet another task representative who said I needed to provide more information, yet she couldn't tell me what information would satisfy the requirements.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I pressed her if she could provide me an example of what would be acceptable. She couldn't do it. I asked her how would I know what to submit if she can't tell me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She finally said that I could submit the EOB from the insurance company and sent me a link that was supposed to let me know what is acceptable documentation. The link took me to an IRS webpage with about 100 more links on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked her to help narrow down where I would find acceptable documentation, but couldn't tell me. She kept me on hold for over 10 minutes and then eventually hung up on me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I then submitted a copy of the explanation of benefits, which gave an itemized breakdown of the charges. Of course, once again the claim was denied. I am beyond frustrated with TASC. Clearly, their MO is to keep denying charges in hopes that you will eventually give up. What a scam! I will be going to my employer, asking that they consider a different company to administer our FSA accounts. UPDATE I called TASC on Friday at 9 AM PST to discuss my most recent documentation submitted. An automated message said that they're closed. Permanently? Tasc is horrible about getting reimbursements. One usually has to submit the same reimbursement request multiple times often, dozens to get your money back. It makes me wonder if they get to keep some or all of the money you contribute that doesn't get spent. read more

TASC rejects claims even when you submit receipts and a letter of medical necessity. If they are falsely rejecting your claims, don't just complain here; complain to your HR and file complaints with the BBB, the Attorney General for your state, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. read more

I don't know how much control companies have over choosing the administrative company that handles medical continuation services, but my opinion of TASC as a middle man to Cigna is that they are *incompetent thieves*.  Let me explain. My continuation services started in October. I paid them $1300+ a month since November 1st however Cigna showed that I did not have coverage.  I called TASC to ascertain what was going on and they said I needed to call CIGNA.  CIGNA replied that they'd received *no notification of medical benefits continuation through COBRA (administered by TASC)* and that I needed to take this up with TASC. I called TASC back and they were very "...oh so sorry, sir" about it and said they'd "resend the work order."  (this was December).  I checked back in January, CIGNA still showed no coverage.  I called back inquiring why and they said it can take 2 - 4 weeks from the time of the work order.  I paid January premium (this is 3 premiums now), and after the 2 -4 weeks still no insurance cards and CIGNA still showed no coverage. I called TASC back and they said "oh sorry sir, I'll resend the work order" and that I need to wait 7 - 10 days. That timeframe passed and still no coverage with CIGNA. I explained that I have a heart condition and need 3 medications that are very expensive and I'd run out. I also explained that I had a minor dependent that also now had no coverage. "I'm very sorry sir". I told them I wanted a refund for the months I'd paid without having coverage because they were taking premiums and not delivering the agreed on product (which to me is stealing).  If I pay a guy to mow the lawn and he doesn't mow, that's stealing, right?  Well not to them, "unfortunately sir, we cannot give you a refund at this time".   I'm at livid levels at this point because my Affib medicine is super expensive and my son no longer has health insurance. At this point I'm not sending them any more money and will just figure it out, which sucks because I'm sure good ole Obamacare will find a way to ding me for not having coverage over these months via the IRS next year and since you can't talk to anyone over there, one becomes cornered into paying the fees (or else). In my last conversation where I asked "if you were me, what would you do?"   They simply hung up on me. TASC is a HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT WILL DEMAND/COLLECT PREMIUMS AND NOT DELIVER THE PAID FOR SERVICES. I can see by the other comments here, I am not alone. This company is a "If I could give negative stars I would" company. Erik Shacklford, the head of the "customer service" team is a hot mess, a horrible human, and exceedingly rude and unprofessional. I have had the same issues that most other reviewers have had......their customer service is probably the worst I've ever encountered in this space, their platform is clunky and difficult to navigate, and they created so many problems for our company that cost us SOOO much time and money and they take no accountability. They are one of those companies whose customer service reps say different things every time you call them and they absolutely DO NOT CARE and leave you saddled with the mistakes they created. As an HR professional, I use these type of vendors to make my life easier, but they have cost me so much time and impacted my staff so negatively, it's embarrassing we went with them. Switching ASAP! Zero Stars would be a better representation for this company, one star is too high of a rating for them. Any company looking to utilize this company for the Health Care FSA accounts, please don't it is a scam, and they are not here to improve anything for your employees just lining their pockets and holding employee's money. I called in because I went for my annual eye exam and when I went to pay for services including new glasses my card was denied. This was the first time that I was needing to use my card, with money that I have been paying into my FSA account for the last 5 months. I was told that my card had been blocked because there was an issue with my address on file, the numbers were missing. Which was odd since I had obviously received my card at the address listed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told that a support ticket had been sent to their financial team to unblock my card, and it would take 1-2 business days to unblock (which I'm sure didn't take 1-2 days to block; with a click of a button.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the same thing that there was nothing that they could do because they did not have a number to call the financial team to escalate the ticket any further, it would take the 1-2 business days to unblock the card.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Needless to say, here it is 1-2 business days later and my card was still blocked, so I call back and low and behold a support ticket had not been done at all and miraculously they did not have any log showing where I had called in previously two days before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once again, they tell me a support ticket will be issued and it will be 1-2 days before I can use my card, I ask once again to speak to a supervisor and they tell me that the only other option is for me to pay it out of pocket and submit a reimbursement claim, which totally nullifies the reason for having the account and a card to utilize the funds. I have always been a fan of TASC until just recently. This company decided to shut down their entire system, before being completely finished with their new system. So, old system is shut down, new system is not completed to roll out, and all employees money is literally nowhere to be found. During the shut down and "transferring" of systems last week, I had a doctors appointment that I was forced to pay out of pocket for. The old system, when you submitted for a reimbursement, it was deposited directly into your bank account. The new system, apparently it is transferred into a TASC "My Cash" area, that states you can use anywhere. That doesnt help me. I want the money I paid put directly back into my bank account. I tried calling their customer service and they are inundated with calls, and I held for over 30 minutes, before having to hang up. Today, same thing. Same message, and after 45 minutes of holding, I chose to have someone call me back "within 15 minutes". It has been 4 hours and I have not received a call back. This is ridiculous. Dont shut down your old system, and dont roll out a new system until you have all the kinks worked out. Period. I am so frustrated. I want to know what exactly I am supposed to do with their "My Cash" option and I cannot even speak to a human on the other end of the line. Also, dont offer to call someone back in 15 minutes if you have zero intentions of ever calling them back. I have also experienced some of the issues others have listed here. I have a note from my primary care physician for a massage every month due to medical issues, and that is needed for TASC to reimburse you for it. It gets declined EVERY single time for reasons that arent even valid. No date on the receipt, which yes, the receipt had a date. Complete frustration all around at this point. read more

Since December of 2023 I have not been able to get TASC (who handles our FSA, ERISA & COBRA) to take care of an issue with COBRA. I have sent over at least 8 service requests, called multiple times, talked to Supervisor, talked to Customer Service, etc. etc. and still cannot get them to take care of the issue. They didn't update our COBRA rates on time, refunded a check to someone who was supposed to pay for their COBRA payment and then closed that person's account. Despite my multiple attempts at resolving this issue they can't seem to figure their head from their behind. I also appreciated that they reached out to another employee to let me know that my email address was "no longer valid". I had to contact them twice to get that issue resolved. I guess they didn't like my requests. Anyway, don't use this company for COBRA services. They don't have their act together. FSA & ERISA are ok but honestly I am considering dropping TASC from those programs too if I can find another organization that can handle all three and do it right the 1st time! read more

Dinosaur Company As the benefit coordinator of a small business, I get to communicate with the back end support of TASC. Let me tell you, this company lives in the early 90s. Fax everything, use 3 different portals to login to your admin account, your login is 16 numbers with dashes!!! In January, you have to hold for, no kidding, 1 hour to get someone on the phone!! A while back, I had to fight with these folks over simple math for about a month. Simply ridiculous to have to fight over addition. There are so much better companies out there. Where do I begin. It seems they are in business to prevent you from accessing YOUR money that you have set aside for medical expenses. My husband's company recently switched to them and it has been a disaster. EVERYTHING gets denied. My son has a monthly debit from the orthodontist (where I'm not sure they even offer a service or product that would not be allowed under an FSA?!) and I have had to resend documentation every month becasue I get denied. It's the same amount. I've sent a copy of the ciontract that specifies that we are paying this amount on the first of every month for X number of months. It's beyond belief. I'm so exhausted from dealing with this horrible company that I don't even know where to begin. In short, they deny everything and make you jump through so many hoops to get reimbursed, if they reimburse you at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are nearly impossible to get ahold of as they have no email address; and if you open a ticket to contact them, they never reply.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If they do, it's dismissive (they will close the ticket without and call it completed without actually resolving anything) and then you can't even reply to them, so you have to start over and open a new ticket (or else waste a major portion of your work day on the phone with them).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just look at the BBB site and see for yourself. Every day people lodge complaints after getting nowhere with TASC, and then suddenly their claims get paid. Not a great way to run a business. Yet somehow they have a A+ rating there. Terrible company that doesn't know their up from their down. My employer is switching providers and for good reason. I had updated my address in the app and got a message that state it was updated successfully. I then requested my MyCash balance be paid out. They sent it to my old address, weeks after the event I finally get an email saying the check was sent back to them. I proceeded to call and have them send the check to my new address, which they had to update yet again in their system. The check I received was for the amount I was informed and still had my old address listed though the envelope it came in was for my new address. I proceeded to deposit said check, a week after the deposit TASC proceeded to top payment causing my bank to charge me for a bad check. I called up TASC and they are not taking responsibility for their incompetence nor are they covering the charge caused by them. Due to their complete lack of organization, communication, and in ability to actually do what they say they will do while following their own protocols. They blamed the error on that I had requested the check to be canceled when I had actually requested the check be mailed to the correct address. -10 I hope no one uses their service and that any company currently with them leaves cause this is the worst experience I've ever had with a company. read more

I'm a broker and advising others to stay away from Tasc. They will do a great job of selling their services, but leave you with hidden costs, additional charges for services that should be included and no way out of a contract without having to pay a hefty penalty. I am a group health broker and I do not recommend that my clients use TASC. Mistakes happen with any company, but I have never been so consistently frustrated with another vendor as I have been with TASC. They have "their systems and procedures" and providing a convenient streamlined experience for the client does not seem to be their focus. I am so tired of "opening a work order or ticket" and waiting to have issues resolved. It usually takes multiple follow up to have issues resolved. I can honestly say I have never had more useless service for a more expensive bill. Partly my fault for not fully understanding how this service worked, but also it is not easy to understand and no one anywhere has the same answer on how exactly it works. In short, I would NEVER use this company or service again-100% not worth the hassle and it feels like my money was stolen from me by hucksters on a street corner. I never could get the debit card to work and "roll over" doesn't really seem to mean "roll over" unless you keep giving them money even if you do not use it. When I signed up, I was under the impression that if I did not use the money that a certain amount would roll over to the next year to be used; so, I put in the least amount of money possible, didn't use it, and rolled it over. Since I really had not used it, I'm thinking "great, I'll use it now" for some new glasses or Covid supplies. But since my expenses were not incurred prior to the end of the year, I cannot use any of the money that was rolled over the previous year or the money I contributed this past year. There are some IRS rules that the company (and I) have to follow but the company does a poor job of explaining how it works. I'm sure I could go on but the other reviews really say it all. Save yourself the time and hassle and try to get a REAL Health Savings Account or just go on a wing and a prayer because TASC will NOT answer any prayers and probably clip your wings. read more

Our employer switched to TASC this year and they are completely awful and their customer service is terrible (well not all just Angie and a few others) I literally cringe or hang up if she answers. So far I have had to call on pretty much every claim, countless items are "stuck" or they submit a ticket that takes them over a week to resolve at best. They get 1 star because you can't get to do a review without giving them one. They are AWFUL. Any employer that contracts with this provider is asking for litigation. THEY didn't send the LEGALLY required COBRA notice until 6 weeks into the 60 day election deadline!!!! Then, they punished us for it and took weeks to load info so benefits could be used. They assign an "account" representative that is USELESS. The email responses are written like a 6th grader (that's generous). DO NOT USE THEM OR DO SO AT YOUR OWN PERIL. read more

From the reviews I see i am not the only dissatisfied customer. Hard to believe the Vail school district chose these thieves to handle their valued employees. Guess they didn't research them first... I have been trying to submit claims since March only to get the same lame excuses every time I call asking for an update. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. In 30 years of working with benefits management companies, FSA, and HSA accounts TASC is by far the worst. Their customer service is abysmal. They entirely changed their system and website and now none of the cards they issued work and the websites show zero balances for accounts that we know have balances so you cannot request reimbursements. They are holding our money hostage and there is no recourse. read more

Terrible. Their automatic payments barely work, so I have to verify every month that the money was withdrawn for fear of losing coverage because of their antiquated website. When my prior employer ended their contract with TASC, TASC terminated my account without even notifying me, so my insurance provider was showing me as not having any insurance anymore. I found out a week later after receiving letters from a new company I'd never heard of. How about a notification letting me know my account was terminated? That would have been nice. Oh, and getting someone on the phone for customer service takes forever, and they're usually not friendly at all. read more
