I am an Asian male-to-female transgender and have so far received 6 treatments over the last 6 months for my bikini area and full legs with clearly visible results. Hair growth has been reduced by about 85% on my legs and 60% in my bikini area with fewer and finer hair growing back between each treatment. Fortunately, I did not experience any negative side effects from the treatments. As a biological male, my hair was thicker than that of women, but the hair reduction has been very effective. I have Colleen as my laser technician, and she is very experienced with laser hair removal. She will never rush through a session, and is very meticulous even when treating a large area. She slows down for you while treating sensitive areas where you need a longer interval to let the pain subside. She will always listen to your pain level and adjust accordingly. She has also been very respectful and understanding of my situation as a transgendered client. I am 100% satisfied with Colleen's service. I feel that my privacy is kept very well, and I never meet other patients during my treatment. Milan is one of the few laser hair removal facilities that can perform hair removal in the bikini area for male/transgendered clients. The laser system is powerful so that the pain in the sensitive areas can be high, but in turn the treatments have been definitely effective for me. The laser system used here have a cooling gas that is emitted with the laser, reducing the discomfort. The only reason why I did not treat my upper body is because I have already completed electrolysis treatment from a different provider in the past. If I had a need to remove hair from other parts of the body with laser, I would have definitely selected Milan. I would say the pricing is what you would expect from a high-quality laser hair removal service, but given the excellent service I am receiving, I can fully understand why. It was definitely worth it for me. Overall, I highly recommended Milan Laser Brookfield for anyone looking for laser hair removal with top-notch service and solid results!

This review is a long time coming…read more I started the process of laser hair removal for my bikini region and armpits at Ideal Image after their salesperson sold me that the reason for the higher cost at Ideal Image compared to another facility is because as their services are provided by highly- trained nurses. Initially, everything was going well with my treatments. But midway through I started to get discoloration/hypopigmentation on my armpits. I asked if this was normal and if it would go away. I was told it was and many more treatments were done. I waited many months after I finished my laser hair removal to allow the discoloration to go away. It never has, nearly a year and a half later. Once I contacted Ideal Image again to let them know, I was told to go to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Vitiligo. Essentially the laser hair removal triggered an autoimmune response in my body which caused a permanent change in my skin. My problem is the contract never stated medical conditions like this could be triggered by the laser treatment. Also, I know nurses can't make diagnoses. But they could have at least stopped my treatment and advised me to see a dermatologist instead of continuing with further laser hair removal treatments that may have perpetuated my issue. Why did I pay a higher cost for "skilled nurses" like the salesperson told me if they aren't trained to recognize if something is wrong? I spoke with the manager at the facility who I don't feel provided me with an adequate reparation to permanent damage in my body ($100 "refund"). I tried many times to contact higher up supervisors with no one returning my calls/emails. As of right now, the legal team at Ideal Image has not provided me yet with a solution to this issue. I trusted Ideal Image as a reputable institution and I no longer would recommend someone else trust them. Since I wasn't informed prior to treatment that this was a risk, I feel like there was a violation to my body. I want to warn others so they at least know the risks that I didn't know going into laser hair removal.
