Dr.Ahmad performed the procedure for my mother's defibrillator a few weeks ago. Throughout the process he was extremely thorough, answered all of our questions, was extremely patient, and very caring. The procedure itself was painless. Dr.Ahmad kept our family informed of all steps of the process and continued to answer questions post-surgery. The hospital was clean and organized. The staff/team there was also excellent. Pro- Getting an appointment could be easy but there could be a wait(the usual doctor's wait!) Con- Make sure you get a receipt for your co-pay and hold onto it coz its happened to me that they denied receiving it. Parking might be a hassle sometimes read more

Don't even think you'll see the doctor at your scheduled time. I sat for over an hour before I was seen. THEN, the doctor spent a total of five minutes with me (half spent looking for my records) then said I should schedule a follow-up appointment for a couple weeks later. Total waste of time, there are better places out there! read more

The actual cardiologist, Dr. Rathi, is competent and seems to know what he's doing. Outside of that, there is a huge time management issue that is overshadowing the care I received. My first visit was in person on a Saturday at the Jersey City location. It took about an hour and a half past my appointment time for me to be seen by the doctor. I was informed by the staff that the doctor was about an hour late that morning so all his appointments are running behind. While not ideal, things happen and I needed this appointment. Dr. Rathi orders some follow-up testing that I got done at a facility closer to me so I schedule a follow-up telehealth visit to go over the results. He never showed up to my telehealth appointment and the office switches over to an answering service around 5:30 PM (my appointment was after this time and I did not know about that prior). The next day I sent an email that went unanswered so I called the office a day after to inquire about what is going on. The receptionist that answered the phone apologized and stated that he would be replying to my email that day. Well, that never happened. I booked another telehealth appointment and called the office again to confirm. The day of my appointment comes and Dr. Rathi is once again running late. I had to call 5+ times over the course of two hours (for clarity, more than two hours past my appointment time) before he finally returned my call for our appointment. The results we needed to discuss took less than 10 minutes to go over. It has been an immensely frustrating experience to have to go through that. Hopefully, things will improve but based on the reviews this is a longstanding issue at the practice. read more

I booked an appointment for 3:15. It's is 4:05 and I have just been told I will have to wait 30-45 mins more. I have arranged my entire work day around this appointment, reasonably expecting to be out by 4 and go back to work. It is only because I won't be able to take another time off of work to visit a doctor, I am staying and waiting, otherwise I would have walked out the door by now. Saw Dr. Mary Abed on the recommendation of my PCP and she is a wonderful doctor. She was very thorough in explaining everything and made sure all my questions were addressed. Getting an appointment was painless (unfortunately they are no longer on Zocdoc), but there was bot of a wait. The offices seemed a bit dated, but all staff, including the nurses and technicians were very professional. read more

The worst staff I have ever seen. One of the doctors put my wife on a stress test, she got a pain in her back and neck, and the doctor says "That's nothing". One of the symptoms of a second heart attack is the same thing. One of the doctors is a flake. Avoid this if you can. read more

As a patient of at least 5 years, I still have to be preapred to wait at least 2 to 2-1/2 hours in order to be seen by a doctor. Also, when you call for an appointment and need to speak to a doctor, the answering machine picks up and generally no one calls you back. There have been times when I wanted to speak to my doctor and have left several messages without getting a call back. There is a definite lack of communcation with the staff. Whenever I am waiting they are all talking among themselves and are not particularly attentive to the patients who have been waiting for hours. I like my doctor, but I am having second thoughts on keeping him as my health care provider. read more
