This is in the context of installing a drainage solution to solve water issues at a property. He may know how to lay out beds with the best of them, I don't know. Did he do what he said he would do? Yes. Did I pay a very overinflated price for the materials and work, and is that my fault? Yes and yes, definitely! Did I get good, expert advice and was the final result adequate? No way, and no way. The pics are after one of the hard rains we've had this winter. Drains overflowing, water pooling. If you are looking for a licensed and experienced landscaper to solve serious drainage issues at your property, this guy and his "crew" are not for you. The guy has no idea what he was doing, and after a few minutes of conversation about water "trajectory " and "momentum", you will come to the same conclusion. He and his crew were literally expecting water to flow uphill. I asked him about installing perforated drain pipe so the water could dissipate into the ground, and he advised against that. Every single other contractor I've spoken to has suggested the perforated drain pipe. He definitely got me at a moment of desperation, and shame on me for that. His crew was from Craigslist labor gigs, and you can get guys from there yourself. Don't fall for the flashy truck and logo'ed trailer and clothes. Don't fall for the "Flip or Flop Atlanta" stories. Don't fall for the charismatic proclamations of integrity and honesty and hard work. I found Escobar's information online and I shared my experience about the previous landscaper and immediate needs. Escobar scheduled some time and arrived on time. He assessed the situation and gave me an estimate for the job. He showed up on time and with a great crew to do the job. I was impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail. I have since used this company two additional times and have one, maybe two projects remaining. If you want a hardworking landscaper to bring your landscaping dreams to life, give these guys a try. TLDR: These guys do great work, go above and beyond with cleanup (see before and after yard photos…read morebelow), communicate throughout the process, and have super reasonable prices. If you've got tree business to be done, make sure you include them in the estimates you get. When a tropical storm rolled through a month and a half ago, we had a giant branch down in our back yard that needed to be removed. We got quotes from about 4-5 local tree service businesses to remove the branch and then to do some pruning of trees with branches hanging over our roof. The guys at TreeWise were very open about how they were not only pretty backed up, but also may not end up being the cheapest because they are fully insured and don't cut corners. Of all the estimates we received, they were actually the second cheapest. On the estimate, they took a look around the yard and gave us options for prices according to what we would get done. The first option was just the downed branch removal and pruning from 3 trees, the second option included that plus the removal of another tree in the yard that was partially uprooted, the third option included the first two options plus the removal of a large tree that was tipped toward the house. Of course, had we gone with the third option, they offered a $500 discount, which was great, but we just weren't in a position to have the work done (with all of this, they were again about the 2nd most affordable). We decided on TreeWise when we received the quote via email, very professionally laid out, along with proof of insurance, which is more than we received from any of the other companies, so we were sold. They didn't give us a date on when the work would be done, since they weren't quite sure, but the downed tree wasn't going anywhere haha. They called a couple days before Thanksgiving and let us know that while they had planned to be there the next day, they would be out on Monday due to the holiday; this was no big deal for us. The day they came out, there was a little confusion about what the job would include, and I was on my way out so was unable to spend a lot of time reviewing the quote again. The guys finished up in about a half day, and we were so impressed at the level of cleanup they included...not only did they remove the tree, but they also used a leaf blower on our whole yard, which had leaves piled up from the few weeks before (see photos)! Honestly, the aesthetics of the yard without the branch for a very reasonable price made us feel so great about choosing them. We received a link to pay (they also accept personal check) via email later that evening. However, we noticed that the crew forgot about one of the trees to be pruned. The guys came back a few days later to get the couple branches on that tree without issue. Will definitely use TreeWise when we're ready to get the big tree removed, and I would recommend them to anyone.

DJ and his team hauled off the log the other crew left behind. DJ was super communicative and came out to give us a price estimate. The pricing was competitive and he really seemed to know his stuff, he was able to point out several trees that were diseased and needed to come down. We had gotten estimates from other crews but what sold us on Atlanta Tree Professionals is their track record of great reviews and the insurance protection they carry. Many others claim they have insurance but when you read the fine print, the differences come to light. You can tell Atlanta Tree Professionals care about their customers and their employees. These guys showed up on time on the day of the job. DJ called us to schedule and confirm which was super easy. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Even my neighbors were impressed. I also appreciated the way these guys treated an old oak we have near the house. It had suffered some storm damage but they had it looking good in no time.
