Total Computer Solutions installed a 2 TB SSD in my laptop. I supplied the SSD which had been used previously and was encrypted. TCS unlocked the encrytion and copied all my program and files. The laptop works fine. They finished the job a day earlier. The cost was the same as the price quoted. The staff is considerate and friendly. FYI, I was on vacation from NY but because they had done a great job for me earlier, I brought the laptop to TCS while on vacation. I highly recommend TCS for your computer needs. read more

I took my telephone in there today to have a charger port looked at to see if it could be repaired after speaking to the ladies at the counter without them disclosing any paperwork or any disclosure of damages that could be incurred while they had it after 10-15 minutes they came back and handed me my phone saying I would need a charger port in a battery and they hand me my phone back with the back case glass shattered and then adamantly denied doing anything while there's little glass shards still coming out of the phone they're insured and to make it all the worst she hides behind the Lord our savior and says I will pray for you as she lies through her teeth about breaking my phone right at the lower area around the charger port and I left before I would got too upset and regretted it but I would be very cautious very cautious and document and ask for paperwork and disclaimers before you hand over anything to them to have serviced that was the worst feeling I have felt in a while and that's the worst I have ever been treated by the business in a very very long time they should be ashamed of themselves and this is not over I will be filing complaints with the better Business bureau and yes it may be just a $200 phone but I will also file civil charges against them they are insured for things like this they provided no paperwork or any disclaimer or anything before they took that phone and we're gone with it for 10-15 minutes and then bring it back to me broken and shattered beware read more

Requested SIMPLE instruction on how to change format of some screens. Mike spent 25 minutes using my computer and "quickly" showing me how to change a few things.....did not verify my understanding by having me repeat the action or even ask if I understood everything clearly. They are both always very responsive to our office's needs, and we are a very demanding legal practice with many very specific needs. Our attorney has a direct line to Mike, and he answers every time! I assist an 85 year old woman who knows very little about technology. This company sold her a $900 laser jet printer to print an occasional email and too large for her location. After several conversations, we were able to get a partial refund. They still charged her a service call fee of $120 and $275 restocking fee. I DO NOT recommend this company. read more

After a remote scan I decided to purchase a new computer from TCS. It was received faster than expected. There were some issues with pulling programs from the old computer to the new but the TCS technicians stayed with it an eventually got it handled. The technicians were extremely helpful and their ability to connect to my computer remotely made minor corrections easy. Very pleased with this and previous experiences with TCS. read more

I chose TCS because of numerous 5 star reviews. I am not a geek and screwed up my new laptop. TCS was successful to get it working again. I was worried that in attempting to set up my computer that I would repeat my prior error causing more problems. When I picked up my laptop the staff spent considerable time with me showing me how to configure the machine to my desires. In a world where you're just a number, Total Computer Solutions comes to the rescue. My computer developed some unusual symptoms after Hurricane Florence hit the area. Since I'm a freelance writer, I was in a world of hurt to meet an impending deadline with a very important client. A majority of computer repair operations were closed due to damage from the hurricane (including a major, well-known name most of us first call), but TCS was not. The "tech" decided to update my operating system without my knowledge or permission.
