I have been going to the same church ever since I could remember going to church. When I moved to San Diego I didn't go to church because I am not a fan of trying new churches. A really good friend of mine, whose opinion I value, suggested that I visit TDWC and I am so glad I did! This place is a medium size church and the people who attend are of all ages, mostly african american. The have a good choir and each time I was there the pastor delivered his own sermon. I continued to visit this church because it reminded me of my church home in Los Angeles. I could really feel the annointing. Usually when you go to church it seems like they are begging for money but I did not get that vibe when I went here. In fact, one Sunday after the offering was taken the pastor told those in the congregation who had past due bills to raise their hand. Maybe 20-30 people raised their hands and he told them that the church would pay the bill if they brought the proof to the church on Monday!!!!! I was totallly amazed. This speaks V O L U M E S about the pastor here and the type of ministry that he has. After church, all first time visitors get to meet the pastor and his wife in a small intimate setting with snacks! I really like this place..definitely make time to visit! read more

Beautiful church, maybe it was just the times that I went. I tried this church 3 times. There was not a sermon. I lot of praise and worship which I love but not an official word. It could of just been those times. My experience is just based on what I'm seeking and it a little more than the music. I worked 7 days as a volunteer at the beach and I was headed back to Jamul in my families motorhome. We stopped into the parkinglot containing the liquor store, nursery, church and an office for a government food giveaway. We were not parked in their portion of the parkinglot and it wouldn't have mattered since it was shared with an establishment we were there for. Out of all the businesses there it was from the church that two men walked over from. Without asking why we were there they asked us to leave. I was inside reading my bible when i heard my 67 year old father speaking with them. He informed them that he was there for the food giveaway and they informed him that their food giveaway was the next day. After informing them that it was a government giveaway that we usually don't get to attend one of the Men told him that if we were there any longer that he would have us towed. My dad said we were leaving to head home after the giveaway anyway and he was completely kind to the aggressive men. I was just reading a passage in my bible about contentiousness so I thought if I spoke with my brother in Christ that then he won't make people feel as he made us feel. Right away he regarded me with hatred as he asked what I wanted. I tried to talk to him and to remind him of the words of God but he told me now wasn't the time to talk about God and this wasn't the situation. I told him that God and his teachings should be in every aspect of our lives and is there for many reasons but one of those reasons are to help us treat eachother better. He told me I was using God and the bible as a con. I had nothing to gain from him or his church though. I tried to further talk to him about the words of God when he told me he was a deacon. He asked if I knew what a deacon was and I wanted to hear his response so I said I did not. He then told me I knew nothing, used his position as a power stance and he regarded me as a con. I prayed with the other deacon there and that deacon was not happy with how his brother acted. I cried when the other man asked to pray with me. I don't cry. I was just sad to see this behavior in a church. I have it all on video. As the one deacon chased me off the other who prayed with me invited me in to study with them. One was a good man and the other is an evil man who will spread hatred and throw people to the rocks were the seed of god can't grow. He either hated my color or my situation but before I knew him I thought we were two brothers standing in the light of God. So was it racism or prejudice? Either way those attributes have no place in church. A Deacon who helps the homeles? Can you do that while making them feel like cons and liars? Can you do that while hating them, being racist towards them or being prejudice? Before I got into an RV park me and my family was just traveling in our RV but should ones situation or skin color dictate a deacons decision to help or hinder? And why pass a judgement that only God should pass based off his knowledge instead of off your hatred? They need to let that deacon go or just close the church if that's the type of people they produce. read more

There comes a time in life where being spiritual is hard to reach. My sister, and most recently my mom have passed away. This is my darkest hour, as a man. However Pastor Benson of Total Deliverance has been amazing. He understands where I am emotionally and bridge the gap between faith and fractured. I'm putting my mom to rest this Friday, and he made this process more bearable. I feel GOD is using this man, when I can't see spiritual right now. He has opened his church for my family on both instances. The entire church family has been great. With that said if you're looking for a good loving church, and this church is in your consideration. While searching for a new church to call home in San Diego, I ventured out to Spring Valley to fellowship at Total Deliverance. The facility is quite large, but to my surprise it was not intimidating. There were many attendees, nice to see many smiling faces. I'm sorry, I can't give this church a good review, in 2012 I was diagnosed with Cancer I'm a single mother with 2 kids, I had been attending this church for almost a year I couldn't get to the Pastor to ask him to pray for me, they would block him off, so I tried to email him and the church replied to me saying they forwarded the email to Pastor, and Never got a response! All I asked for was a Prayer Bc I was sick and the bible says go to the elders of your church, So God lead me in the direction of another Church and it is so amazing!
