Doctor Nguyen 5 stars but the front desk and administrators HORRIBLE and awful customer service. Especially, Brianna their assistant administrator is cold and heartless! My son fell on barb wire and got deep lacerations on his neck and arms. I selected this location because close to my job but far from my home. My husband made it on time for my son's appointment but we got turned around because of an accident. They allow 10 minutes late but we were 13 minutes late. I would of been 15 minutes early. She would not allow my husband to check him in on time and start paperwork. She can't think for herself she just follows rules. We could of still been on schedule if she would of let my husband fill out paperwork and check in for my son!! They never see us on time anyway and we always wait. I over head her talking to a lady with two children she said they would only see 2 of them and not one of them since they were late by 2 minutes. They still waited 13 minutes for 9:40 appointment. DO NOT go to them and waste your time because if you can't get passed the front office you will not see the doctor. Find a location with people with a heart and some flexibility and common sense!!! If Brianna's objective was to be on schedule, she could of let my husband fill out the form since he was early and this is a child in pain. 3 minutes would not have made a difference to their schedule but her compassion would of made a big difference to my injured son!!! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC. I visited this office on Tuesday 05/28/19 appointment and requested for Doctor Nguyen but I have had the bait and switch and saw Roseline Onwuchuruba - Family Nurse Practitioner. I would never trust an office that had to mislead me. She seemed like a nice lady, but NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I got strep throat, cough So Hard and she told me that the test turns out negative, I just have an allergy and gave me the Nasal Spray. I had to beg for the Antibiotic and cough medicine, then she gave me Bromphenirpseudoephed-DM Syr and Amoxicillin-clav 875. I have been taking for 7 days but my cough still did not go away and even get worse. My throat is swelling and sore and still cough up phlegm with blood-tinged. I would heavily consider requesting to see the REAL MD my next visit. read more

I visited this office this morning for a 10:40am appointment for 2 issues. One issue was a rash and another involved urine. The receptionist at the front desk said that I would have to choose what to be seen for today. Either the rash or the urine, and I would have to make a separate appointment for the other issue. I thought that was ridiculous. I spoke with the doctor and was seen for both issues. The doctor said that some people like to come in with a list of 10 things and that may take up quite a bit of time. If you want a relationship with your doctor, this is not the place. She seemed like a nice lady, but healthcare is all about money. This seems like the type of place that wants to rush you out, collect money, and make you schedule more appointments to address issues that could have been addressed in the first appointment so that they can charge you for an additional office visit. I asked for a routine blood test since the copay would be the same. The doctor refused and mentioned something about it being her policy and it complicates insurance billing. The receptionist said that I had a $0 copay. That did not seem right to me because I pay a copay when I go to the doctor and I got on the phone with my insurance company and verified that I did have to pay a copay. The insurance company representative also verified that the routine blood test would be covered with the copay. I asked for a routine blood test. The receptionist at the front desk said that I would have to be fasting. I told her that I was fasting. Then she came up with another reason why a routine blood test could not be given and told me that I would need to schedule another office visit. I was tired of the stress and was ready to pay the copay. I attempted to pay, but they do not accept American Express, so I had to use a different credit card. read more

I have been going to Total Family Care for a while now and I am always greeted with open arms coming in. The staff quickly knows you by name. I used to feel scared about going to the doctor but that has changed. I have been a patient under NP- Kristyn Booth and she is soooo amazing. I have never seen a health professional who cares so much and listens. Mrs. Booth makes sure she tries everything to get to a solution and doesn't give up. I feel more than just a patient I feel like family. Mrs. Booth and the staff also calls to check on you and give you your results over the phone. They are very convenient with the text appointment option and pretty much have an appointment available when you need it. I would recommend Total Family Care to anyone! read more

I went to Total Family Care on a Tuesday afternoon, was far from busy. I made an appointment on ZocDoc the day before and filled out the forms that they had online available. I got a call later asking what the appointment was for, despite it being listed on ZocDoc and they eventually figured it out. I had two issues to work with and they knew that from our conversation. I showed up 50 minutes before my appointment. They gave me forms to fill out, the first 3 were identical to the forms I filled in online. I brought this up, they didn't care. So I had to rewrite all my information and problems down. One of my problems was from my butt, but they had me sit back down and up three times calling me over every once in awhile. Very painful. I was taken 10 minutes late to the back room where the Nurse was immediately rude to me. She then asked me questions that were on my form that I had filled out twice, and the issues I had. I was told because of my two problems they could only handle one. Why? I told them yesterday when scheduling I had two issues. Apparently they only do 20 minute sessions regardless of the issue, and that if I wanted both I'd have to come back at another time and schedule a new appointment. Which means additional copays and time off from work. So I was quite annoyed that they didn't tell me this when I confirmed the day before, and that for whatever reason having two appointment times was impossible. The doctor confirmed what was said, took only 8 minutes with my first issue, talked about the second one for about 3 minutes and then I was out the door. I won't go back to this place again, as they don't value time, just the amount of people they can get in the quickest amount of time. read more

I had a very bad experience with Total Family Care. I found them online with when I need to complete my i-693 form for an interview that was coming up in the next 3 weeks. I was it was a short notice so I acted on it right away and I called them on Monday. I was quickly setted up an appointment the day after - Tuesday. I came in 30 minutes early as requested. And for some reasons, I still got charge $25. Anyway, it was quick appointment. Doctor Nguyen was very nice and answer all of my questions. Then the nurse was sent in to take my blood. The total time was 30 minutes. Afterward, I was told that the result will be in within 4-5 days. I received a call from them and was told that I was missing some vaccination and the insurance does not pay for them at the office.I contacted my insurance company, the vaccine should been covered, free of charge. However, I was able to get the vaccination at Kroger. I submitted the vaccine record to them and was told to wait for one last lab result. They said this lab result took 10 days to comeback, which is not true because I called and most places only take 4-5 days. However, I still wait until the 11th date and no call. I left multiple messages due to the urgency of my circumstance and never got called back. So I went up there myself for the 3rd time and was told that my lab result has not came back. I was so upset and mad at the time, then the nurse said that they can withdraw my blood for a new lab result. At the time, I only have 3 days away for my appointment. I was so frustrated and none of the solution can solve the problem so I went ahead and let them draw my blood again. Luckily at the last minute, the day before the interview, the result came back from the 1st blood draw. I requested multiple times about the itemized bill for the visit and has been promised it will be delivered as soon as possible. However, it has been over 2 months and has not to received anything. read more

I have been going to this place for the past 3 years. They are okay. I usually call in the morning and can make an appointment for later in the day. They seem to have a high turn over of staff. They don't give me any trouble with getting referrals to specialists that I see. I wouldn't recommend them if you have a long term health issue that you are managing. They are good for when you have a cold and you need quick treatment. read more

Your health is not a priority at Total Family Care. I learned about Total Family Care through my job. The doctors are excellent IF you can get through to them. The receptionist/medical assistants are Very unprofessional and lazy. When they don't feel like being bothered they are Very dishonest about scheduling your appointments. I Really needed to be seen and was lied to (over a week), both verbally and via text. It wasn't until I complained via text, that the lies were expose and the Director got involved. The Director tried to defend the staff before she knew (she hadn't read their messages to me prior to calling me) the whole story. The scary part is they strung me along with their lies, as a team. These people seem to control who/if patients are given an appointment, based on "if they feel like working. The lack of care and compassion displayed by them isn't worth risking your health. My Health Matters to me, unfortunately it didn't to them. read more

I recently had stomach issues from stress related work with my business, symptoms that I had never had before and it really gave me a fright. I went to see Dr. Nicole at Total Family Care. This is my 3rd time seeing her. As usual, had my check up and she gave me some prescription n its been a week and thankfully feeling much better. I wanna thank Dr. Nicole on such a great job and her advice on my diet and stress management really made a huge difference. I've had about 3 primary doctors in my life and Dr. Nicole has been the most caring n most detailed oriented Dr. I've had experience with. Regarding the staff... all we're wonderful n active. I went a Monday n it was sorta slow but everyone was just busy working n that alone should tell you the kind of work ethic the place has. Regarding the facility, comforting, nice, n most importantly, super clean. I'm very happy n yes, thumbs up to an awesome job. Highly recommended. read more

The clinic is a horrible place to visit. I was told that I was 2 minutes late and that my appointment was cancelled. I asked Brianna, the worst receptionist in the world to go talk to the doctor or nurse who was on duty. I saw her talking to the nurse and when she came back she informed me that the nurse couldn't see me even though I was the last appointment of the day at 4:50. The clinic closes at 6. I ask to speak to the doctor and she blatantly lied to me and told me that nurse or doctor had left when I just saw her talking to her 30 seconds ago. After asking her why she lied to me she threatened to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. I am also reporting this to the BBB for being racially profiled. I came to Total Family Care on July 5th for a well woman exam. I honestly believe the staff were too tired or too hungover from July 4th celebrations to offer proper or efficient care and service. The two receptionists were poorly presented and their customer service was average at best. They asked me to make my co-payment before I was even seen, and this made me feel suspicious about what kind of place it was and what kind of clientele they we used to (mis)treating. They had a television in the waiting room which was tuned to a judicial program showing "real life court cases." I feel that screening uneducated, marginalized people fighting over petty amounts of money or property is not appropriate in a family health clinic, nor does it create a relaxing or professional environment. I had specifically made an appointment with Dr. Nguyen, only to be told that she was on vacation after I was in the exam room. I was made to wait way too long--first in the waiting room for at least 25 minutes, and then in a smaller room for just under 40 minutes. Totally Family Care's policy is that if you arrive 30 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged a fee, yet they made me wait much longer than 30 minutes. When the nurse practitioner finally came in to do my physical exam, she couldn't understand why I was not wearing a paper gown. I said it was because the nurse had not given me one. The nurse practitioner checked some cabinets, then went and sought a paper gown for me, a process which caused more unnecessary delays. Eventually my blood work was done and eleven days later I still have a large bruise on my arm. I don't bruise easily and have never experienced such pain and fuss receiving a simple blood withdrawal. Nobody called me a week later with the lab results, I had to follow up for myself. I have seen Dr. Nguyen before at a clinic on Memorial Drive, and I found her to be an acceptable practitioner. Unfortunately I will never return to this clinic, because I do not feel that my health and privacy are in safe hands with the staff there. read more

PLEASE do not visit Dr. Nguyen she is an extremely UNSAFE DOCTOR. Dr. Nguyen. is the worst physician that I've ever visited. She did not properly assess me nor did she ask questions about my current status to aid the exam. I went in for a physical and it was completed in ten minutes. As a medical worker, I was a bit shocked of how she carried out her examination and did not address any concerns. She was more concern about the insurance company than my own well being. I urge you not to visit this doctor. You may have a condition and she would miss it because she does not properly examine you. read more
