During a repair of the front end steering mechanism, Total Golf Cart, LLC of Vero Beach, Florida removed four (4) one year old tires (which I purchased from them and used for only one full season) and replaced them with four tires that, according to one of their employees were at least ten years old. When the owner/manager was confronted he agreed to replace two tires if I paid the labor, but absolutely refused to replace all four nor would he attempt to locate the tires I had previously purchased from his company and reinstall them on the vehicle. Very shady business where the customer is at extreme risk. read more

This is a first class operation. The entire staff is knowledgeable about their product line and very attentive to the many questions I had. I went to the other dealer in Vero only to find out that they claim to be able to sell factory authorized Club Car golf carts. Nope. They do have new carts but not authorized to sell or warrant. If I were to have purchased a "new" Club Car, the warranty would be void. Beware! I did my research and this dealership is first class all the way. I have not had a good experience with Total Golf Cart Repair. Don't get me wrong; the people there seem to be nice, friendly and easy to talk to. Their prices are reasonable. So, what's the problem? In my opinion, they lack the expertise to repair the relatively simple electronic systems on a golf cart. Example: I needed a new set of batteries. They installed the batteries incorrectly. It took them two more tries to get it right. Now I'm not a golf cart specialist. But, I could take a picture of the battery compartment and install a new set just by looking at the picture, without doing it incorrectly. Why can't they get that basic job right? They can't seem to fix anything on the first try. Every time they fail to fix it correctly, they have to take my cart for a few days. In the 4 years that I've been using Total Golf, they have never fixed anything on the first try. I think that kind of reliability and expertise is unacceptable. On my latest adventure, I asked them to install some new bushings and a new horn. They were able to do that, but, in doing so, they broke the battery indicator guage. It was working when they took it and unpowered when they brought it back. They did not tell me about it, until I called. Then the individual who worked on the cart admitted that ("Ooops") he had broken the gauge. So, they, again, took my cart and when I got it back, they had installed an "after-market" battery condition gauge (not one made by Club Car). That indicator did not work properly. Now they were blaming the lack of an accurate battery condition meter on me. "Well, you know, you don't always drive the course the same way." Actually, it seems that I do. A round of golf usually shows exactly 2/3 of my battery system remaining when I finish. Now it was "Empty" after 12 holes. So, no, it isn't how I was driving the cart on the course. "Maybe your batteries need to be replaced?" Yeah, that's it. They were strong enough on Tuesday to last for 36 holes easily. But over the weekend, they got so old that they can't make it through 15 holes (if you believe the gauge). So they took the cart again for multiple days. They wanted to make sure it was "fixed." When they brought it back, it was still working incorrectly. The concept of "checking" their work apparently isn't part of their process. If they would do that, it would eliminate the hassle of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th visit to accomplish one repair. So, I'm done with Total Golf Cart Repair. Engage them at your own risk. read more
